My wife and I are happy to have discovered the Holyoke Y, which we've been using for at least a year.

I've been working out with Sean for about two years and I couldn't be happier with the results…read more I've had trainers in the past who wouldn't listen and just had me do what they wanted to do with little to no results. Sean listens, he targets what I want and my results have far surpassed my expectations. He'll push you to reach your goals and be your best. Not only is he an amazing trainer, he's got a great wit and some good jokes. A genuinely nice person and great at what he does. I 100% recommend if you're looking to work with an amazing trainer

My wife saw an ad in a local newspaper back in August  of 2016 for Mt View Strength.  She mentioned…read moreto me that this sounded like something that we should try.  I dragged my feet for some time wondering if this is something I would be able to commit to.  Both of us are in our 50s....myself a smoker (Exercise..What) so we thought it was time to do something more than what were doing to be healthy. We met with Sean at Mt View for an initial assessment and we signed on.  We decided to do it...a minimum of a 3 month commitment. He wanted to know what we wanted to achieve individually.  My wife was looking to lose weight, myself tone up.  At the time I had some very painful shoulder pain and he was quite concerned about that. We began our training and Sean specifically designed a program to help strengthen my shoulder to help ease my pain and balanced the exercises to include the goals my wife was looking for.  My three boys thought up front that "Dad" would perhaps last a couple of sessions.  Well I must say we are moving onto our 3rd three month session this month.  I proved my children wrong!!! Sean was able promote the proper exercises to strengthen my body where I no longer have shoulder pain at all.  With Sean's direction, my wife was able to introduce the proper diet and she has lost over 10 lbs.  My own desire to tone up has worked completely and I am so happy with these results.  The inches are falling off of our body!! Is it easy?  NO   Is it worth it?  YES Sean will personally put together a program that will fit what you want, but you need to be on board with it.  The results are there. He is a true professional. Thank you Sean it's been a great experience and something I never thought I would have gone this long for.  We're addicted! Bruce Piquette

I came in specifically for new orthotics. I hadn't had orthotics in over a year and was long…read moreoverdue. They use a scanner that measures the alignment of your feet. There is no margin for error. The scan goes to a facility that makes them specifically for you. I forgot the exact amount, but they're in the neighborhood of $300. Call them to double check. Again, these are custom tailored just for you. A very knowledgeable chiropractor with probably over 3 decades of experience helps you personally with the process. He's great! He's the only one who fits your orthotics. This is for anyone who has challenges with their alignment because of their feet. Ex: You receive chiropractic, osteopathic manual therapy, PT or massage therapy and no matter what you feel the treatment doesn't hold up. You know your somatic practitioner is amazing but your feet are preventing the treatments from fully helping you. Or you just have serious problems standing on your feet. I'm both. I receive monthly osteopathic treatment from my Osteopath. A doctor in a hospital. Though not an MD, a DO takes the same amount of schooling. A DO can prescribe medication and they can perform surgery just like an MD. They are not Nurse practitioners. Or PTs. My osteopath specializes in manual therapy. I highly recommend getting orthotics here. It's a great office. If I weren't seeing my osteopath, I would consider seeing the chiropractor who fit my orthotics. He's also the trainer of the gym. The gym is probably great for someone who lives nearby with alignment issues. Great overall environment.

Not for me. Did not vibe with the head guy. During the initial training sessions you need to do…read morebefore you can use the gym on your own, I felt that the trainer was more concerned about where I put my water bottle down than what my form looked like during an exercise. He would also just sort of walk away while we were counting reps, so I never knew when to start/stop. One time I caught him stretching with his eyes closed when I thought he was watching my form. I also felt fat-shamed, even though I clearly explained up front that I've struggled with eating disorders for years. (Believe me, I already hate myself and feel ashamed, I don't need his help!) I guess some people like it a lot. Honestly, at 62, I felt I was too young too be there! Very nice building and location and friendly support staff. I went about 3-4 times and just didn't go back. No follow-up BTW, even though I am still owed sessions.
