There is no margin for error. The scan goes to a facility that makes them specifically for you. I forgot the exact amount, but they're in the neighborhood of $300. Call them to double check. Again, these are custom tailored just for you. A very knowledgeable chiropractor with probably over 3 decades of experience helps you personally with the process. He's great! He's the only one who fits your orthotics. This is for anyone who has challenges with their alignment because of their feet. Ex: You receive chiropractic, osteopathic manual therapy, PT or massage therapy and no matter what you feel the treatment doesn't hold up. You know your somatic practitioner is amazing but your feet are preventing the treatments from fully helping you. Or you just have serious problems standing on your feet. I'm both. I receive monthly osteopathic treatment from my Osteopath. A doctor in a hospital. Though not an MD, a DO takes the same amount of schooling. A DO can prescribe medication and they can perform surgery just like an MD. They are not Nurse practitioners. Or PTs. My osteopath specializes in manual therapy. I highly recommend getting orthotics here. It's a great office. If I weren't seeing my osteopath, I would consider seeing the chiropractor who fit my orthotics. He's also the trainer of the gym. The gym is probably great for someone who lives nearby with alignment issues. Great overall environment.

Not for me. Did not vibe with the head guy. During the initial training sessions you need to do…read morebefore you can use the gym on your own, I felt that the trainer was more concerned about where I put my water bottle down than what my form looked like during an exercise. He would also just sort of walk away while we were counting reps, so I never knew when to start/stop. One time I caught him stretching with his eyes closed when I thought he was watching my form. I also felt fat-shamed, even though I clearly explained up front that I've struggled with eating disorders for years. (Believe me, I already hate myself and feel ashamed, I don't need his help!) I guess some people like it a lot. Honestly, at 62, I felt I was too young too be there! Very nice building and location and friendly support staff. I went about 3-4 times and just didn't go back. No follow-up BTW, even though I am still owed sessions.

I have been working with Andrew (as a client) off and on now for over 3 years. I first met him…read morewhile he was working at another gym in the area (since closed), and for about a year I have been a client at his new business. Andrew is passionate about fitness and about helping people. Those two qualities make him a great trainer. He keeps up to date on the ever-changing information about physical training, exercise, weight loss, and nutrition -- no mean feat when you consider the sheer amount of info out there. Throw in the fact that one must weed through crackpot theories, shady schemes, wishful thinking, misinterpreted studies, and outright lies, and you'll realize that it takes dedication, education, discernment, and intelligence to maintain the knowledge base you need to be an effective personal trainer and a true resource for your clients. This is Andrew Doming. He is also just a plain great person to work with. Anything to do with our bodies (or our perceptions thereof) can be delicate and emotional topics to many folks, and Andrew is excellent at listening and offering suggestions and support. He is always compassionate and sympathetic to my issues and concerns. If you have any physical limitations (acute or chronic), he will work with you to find alternatives that are still challenging. This is not a "traditional gym" setting, nor is it Crossfit (although there are some similarities)...Andrew and his associate Ryan (also excellent) design intense circuit style workouts, incorporating HIIT, resistance and strength training, mobility, calisthenics, weight training, etc. During a week, every day is a different focus -- upper body, lower body, core and cardio, full body -- with multiple different exercises in various "formats" -- tabata, intervals, EMOMs, and so on. So there is almost endless variety. Clients can come to unlimited group sessions per month. The sessions are about 35-minutes long, and you will feel like a total badass when you are done. I never thought I would be a "group" person in any way or by any stretch of the imagination, but the fact that a qualified trainer is programming for you, the short, set schedule, and the proximity of other fitness seekers/fellow sufferers has really helped me get in the best shape of my life. Of course, this type of programming is not unique, but Andrew is a pleasure to work with and a consummate professional.

Fitness Fusion offers a 7 day FREE trial, and it is exactly that. Free, no strings attached way to…read moresee if you like what they offer. None of this sign up and your first week is free bull, just sign the waiver and start your trial. This is the best of both worlds in that it is NOT a single class run by an "instructor". With everyone doing the same thing for an hour. It is a circuits based workout that rotates through a 3 day schedule with 3 different full body workouts. The next month all the circuits change up again and the rotation continues. No way to plateau or get bored in this scheme. It is fun, challenging and truly works your whole body. Time flies by. The staff are all certified trainers and not just fitness enthusiasts. They are monitoring and course correcting all the participants to be sure everyone is getting focus on doing the exercise properly. For me it's like having a personal trainer but within a group environment. I was spotted doing something wrong and it was very quickly (like within the first 30s) noticed and of course I got more out of the exercise because of it. Strength, Cardio and Core are in every workout. Don't worry about the intensity, they have that covered too. The small group workout is easy on the joints, and the intensity is up to you. The large group workout is by design a tougher and higher impact workout so you get to choose. They call you by name when you come in and greet you in a welcoming way. As a newbie I was looked after and everyone asked how my workout went at the end. Very engaged staff. If you have been putting off signing up for a way to get fit and healthy, try the 7 day free trial and you'll probably love it. I did and plan to sign up for real.

I tried exploring at home gentle yoga videos but was fearful of pushing myself past my limitations which could result in an ER visit. I did my yoga session at Spirit Space Yoga as I felt I would have trouble relaxing in my own home. Hannah had all the supplies ready for me and the room was clean, quiet, and zen. I immediately felt at home at Spirit Space Yoga and was very comfortable opening up to Hannah. Hannah is wonderful and has a calm, nurturing, knowledgeable presence. She calmly and patiently listened to my limitations, goals, hopes, dreams, and fears. She led me through a wonderful private session that made me feel alive and hopeful again. Hannah was able to design a session that worked on my goals of strength, flexibility, and relaxation in a full body workout without over-exerting my arm where I have a PICC line placed. I felt respected and safe throughout my whole session. I have to admit when the actual yoga started I felt a bit odd being the only student but Hannah reassured me that the feeling would quickly pass, and it did. I look forward to continuing my yoga journey and healing with Hannah. She is a holistic practitioner and leaves you feeling good in mind, body, and spirit.
