I had a wonderful experience here today with my alignment for my '09 Subaru Impreza! The gentleman was fixing a car when I walked in but I waved at him from the office and he quickly greeted me and politely asked that I wait. He rushed over and took care of me right away. The service took about 30-40 minutes altogether which is shorter than I expected for sure. I've been told it usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half? That was definitely a plus for me. John--I think his name was--was super kind and even parked my car JDM style so I can get out easier, lol. I'm not sure if that was because it was easier for him to do or what, but I appreciated the gesture! I definitely will come back if I need any other services for my car! Had a great experience here for an oil change. I don't have much time to give my car the TLC that it needs, so right when I got home from work I called Yip's at 5:30 to see if they could do an oil change for me even though they close at 6. They said no problem, quoted me $25, and I brought my car in. Within 15 minutes they were done and it did really just cost me the $25 flat for my 2006 Corolla. For the past 15 years or so, I've taken 3 of my cars to Yip's. Overall, I've been very happy with the work and customer service. Duc has fixed any and all issues that I've had including: Valve leaks, catalytic converter problems, or heat sensor issues. Most recently, I radiator leak and he fixed that in 1.5 days which is a pretty reasonable amount of time considering they were short-handed (which he told me upfront) and he had to replace the radiator, hoses, and flush the coolant. They have always done a good job and I really appreciate that they typically provide a good estimate on the cost and time it will take to complete the work. Duc is honest and his workmanship is of high quality. Their prices are always very reasonable. I would recommend them. read more

I used this shop long time ago, but after they made a few mistakes, I stopped going back. About 5 years, I needed a quick oil change, and I went there again. I had very good experience working with John, and I kept going back. John pays attention to details and very thorough, but most importantly, he is very honest. I've changed my engine oil several week ago. I saw a sloppy work on my car. After I went back home I found there is a engine oil leakage on my parking lot which I didn't notice until my friend told me. Excellent shop for common automotive issues. I've been taking wife's mazda SUV there for quite some time now. Duc is excellent in accommodating me even when busy. e.g. last month, engine light came off on the way home. I called him around 5pm, was a the shop shortly after and got it fixed by 6pm. I have had a whole host of repairs done by Duke. He is straightforward and very reasonably priced. A lot of items I could have done cheaper myself (obviously) - but the shop is fast and good. Toyota Truck Rear End replaced BMW 3 series new transmission Honda Passport inspection prior to sale and various maintenances on those vehicles He is trustworthy and returns calls quickly. Obviously - recommend him. Lastly, you can drop vehicle off late, leave keys in drop box. Ask him to check it out. Pay via credit card over phone. And then pick up car after closing with your extra key. This is a huge time and hassle saver :) read more

My car (2001 Infiniti Q45T) failed the emission test. My home mechanic was not able to help. I found Yip's auto recommended on one of the Infiniti forum. I decided to give it a try. Duc was able to diagnostic the EVAP system of my car and fixed the root cause. The repair was not cheap, cost me about $680 including parts and labor, but it worked and my car was able to pass the CA emission test. So I would definitely recommend Duc and his Yip's Auto Repair. After spending hundreds of dollars unsuccessfully trying to fix a clunking noise coming from my front suspension from another mechanic I trust, I decided to try out Yip's. Yip's took a look at it and figured out the problem within about 5 minutes. After that, I came to the conclusion, that not only honesty is important when using a mechanic. A friend recommended me to Yip's Auto Repair when my car was making some noise and occasionally having problem starting the engine. I had the idle control valve replaced and decided to also do the 120K service. They called me in a timely fashion to inform me of the estimate for service and repair. After completion, they provided a checklist of the items that were performed. I needed the car back the next day, and Yip's went out of their way to complete it. Duke is our personal mechanic and he indeed does a great job on every visit. Case in point, my Honda Odyssey had engine trouble due to Serpentine belt wearing out and it cost me $$$$ to fix it in a remote shop in Utah. On my way back check engine light came back on. I promptly reported this back to the shop owner in Utah who denied any wrong doing and asked if I can bring it back! I then checked with 2 other mechanics (including Honda Dealership) and they just cost money with nice long diagnostic reports but problem came back. Duke, our man took upon himself to get to the bottom of it and now the van runs real smooth. He not only saved the day but put back new life into the Honda and thereby increased its longevity by many fold. read more

Here's think about yip's auto. I have a relative that went to get a smog check in the minnis circle area near yip's auto repair. Failed smog and the smog guy recommended yip's auto to have the car looked at. Yip's auto repair stated that it would cost $250 + to repair the car and it was guaranteed to pass smog, not only did they do the repair they charged her an additional $75.00 for a smog test, when she could of gotten a retest for free from the original smog place. Yip's auto did this knowingly that she could of gotten a retest at the original when the smog guy went over to yip's with my relative. I called Yip's and they said huh look we did the smog already and the smog center happens to be in the same area as Yip's charged him already, so therefore my relative has to pay. They feel that they can scam my relative because what it seems like is that they all work together to get work/business. Beware you have been warned. read more

Took my car here upon a recommendation from my brother who is a "car guy". I had major issues and needed clutch assy and starter replaced. The quote was more than fair. My car was extremely unpleasant to drive with these issues, I dreaded having to drive it. I got my car back a few days ago (yes they also washed and possibly waxed it as it looks shinier than normal) but the main thing is that I have rediscovered the joy of driving my car!
