I have been here many times over the years but not since Covid. Same delicious food as before. I like getting the salads with the skewers or gyro meat. They use the meat spiral grill for the gyro. The salad always has fresh, crispy lettuce with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, olive and bell peppers. They serve it up with grilled pita bread. Delicious! Definitely try the red hot sauce. I don't know what it is but it's excellent! Since Covid I noticed they are using disposable plates and cutlery. They have a few tables inside and more seating outside. You order at the counter. Excellent food. There's gluten in their lamb, which I didn't know when I ordered. After verifying the cook came out and took my plate, replacing my original gyros salad with a chicken salad. I know it's a Greek restaurant, but I come here for their steak sandwich! It is so delicious, especially with Yiassoo's house dressing, i call it their "white sauce" but it's not the Tsaziki sauce that many confuse it with. I can't really do the yogurt-based sauce. So i hit the jackpot finding this special dressing a few years ago at the Cupertino restaurant, which I'm glad to find is just as good at their Campbell location. Many eat it with the veggies and salads, but it tastes AMAZING with the meats, especially the steak! Don't get me wrong, the food is already perfect without the sauce -- juicy perfectly tender pieces of steak, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and slices of red onion, all stuffed into warm toasted pita bread -- but adding Yiassoo's house dressing brings out the flavors so much more. A warning though, they are so generous with the toppings and the flavors so addicting, that you will be stuffing your face, so if you are on a first date here keep that as a side note. I actually had an experience like this years ago, and ended up using a fork to successfully eat this sandwich while still paying attention to my date/partner, haha... I wonder how he felt having to watch me scarf down each delectable bite, but it was sooo good that I didn't really care :P It's a cute-looking and inviting restaurant, not quite "fast food" and not too fancy, with free and easy parking both on street and in the back lot. Though it's easier to douse your food in sauce using the bottles at the restaurant (pre-COVID), I appreciate that they give mutiple sides of sauce for no extra cost. Their prices may be slightly higher than what you see on their website (at least at the Campbell location), but hey you get what you pay for. To me it's worth the consistent service and quality of food. The worker helping me today was friendly and patient, and helped make sure I got the sauce I wanted during my visit, clarifying they just call it their "house dressing" and it's Yiassoo's unique recipe... What has happened to this place? I used to eat here religiously (about 2/3 times a month) when it WAS phenomenal. I've even introduced so many people to Yiassoo it was so good. Did the owner change??? The last 3 times I've eaten here in the last year, it's gone downhill quite a bit. The quality, the taste and the quantity. Tonight was my final visit. My meat was cold as if were recently out of the fridge, my large salad had 4 strings of onion, and like a teaspoon of feta? The tzatziki which was once so delicious I would always order extra... I had to throw away tonight. My friends dish was not good either, the rice was old and the baba ghanoush had a horribly bitter taste to it. We had to toss half of our food out. My family, who were also big fans, are no longer customers here as I've heard the same for them. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in my once-favorite Greek restaurant. I love the chicken or Gyro sandwich (they are wraps), the falafel's are not my preference, so I stick to my 2 favorites. The red onion and greek yogurt on the gyro's is a perfect compliment to the meat. I personally wish they had some cucumbers for a little texture and crunch, but thats something I add at home. Greek fries are crispy and soft in the middle, salad is refreshing. Calamari is little squares, so it's not the typical "legs and tubes", I still enjoy them. One of my go-to places in the South Bay for Mediterranean food! My favorite thing to get is the Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich. It comes with broiled marinated chicken, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce in pita bread. Their tzatziki sauce really makes it! It's made with yogurt and chopped cucumbers and is super refreshing! I like that it's easy to eat, and you can get a taste of everything in each bite! If I don't get the sandwich, I usually get one of the plates. It's a large portion size with your choice of meat along with French fries and a side salad. Their fries are pretty good...I like getting an extra side of tzatziki sauce to dip them in! Yiassoo checks all the boxes I need it to check: super close to the swim school my kids go to, quick to make our food, my kids will eat it, we like eating it, enough variety that we can switch up if we want to. We like all the gyro variations: gyro sandwich, gyro salad, gyro plate. The salmon is on the dry side but pretty good for the price. My baby really likes the moussaka, the eggplant texture is not consistent throughout but still good, the moussaka is very filling and very heavy if you're not used to eating all that thick cream/dairy. Yiassoo is that little gem on Bascom Avenue. If you're hungry and want something packed with flavor and will cause an addiction, Yiassoo is the place for you! The chicken souvlaki plate is loaded with rice, the marinated chicken kebabs, salad, toasted pita bread and the addictive cucumber yogurt sauce. The bottles of white and hot sauce both go great as well with the chicken souvlaki plate. Sometimes I douse the white sauce all over everything, including my rice, salad and chicken. I wish I knew what was in the white sauce so I can just request it every time I dine there. Yiassoo is a great place to grab a fast casual meal that is fresh and without the fuss. There's parking in the back and also on the street if you cannot find parking. I definitely want to come back and try other dishes on the menu. I read they are related to Mikonos Grill but it seems like their menu has less items. But if I was in the area, I would totally choose Yiassoo over any fast food joint anytime. read more

Yiassoo has been my go to place for gyros for YEARS! I've gone to the Cupertino location many times and loved their food. Thankfully this location's food tastes just as good! With around $10, you can get a delicious gyro sandwich LOADED with gyro meat, yogurt sauce, onions, and tomatoes. If you're willing to spend a couple bucks extra, you can get a gyro plate with a choice of fries or basmati rice and a salad. Honestly such a great deal and great quality food for an excellent price. Clearly they're not the same, because the Cupertino one gives you more meat in the super gyro, while the super gyro here is the size of the normal one at the Cupertino one. (Thought maybe it was a one time thing but this time it happened again too) but I also ordered the combination plate that has 1 skewer of lamb, chicken, steak, and pork. I also specified the combo with the 4 skewers with the different meats. While we got charged the price for the one with the 4 skewers, it only had one chicken and one lamb. The salad was also not a salad like it is at the Cupertino one, it was 90% tomato, and no lettuce. (I am not the first to say this, it was posted in thr reviews by others too) I don't think I'll be going back to this location again. Less food, same prices, or order done wrong. read more

They have all the classic greek items with both inside and outside seating and lots of free rear lot/street parking. Soda machine works now so you can serve yourself. I liked this new finding. There was plenty of parking in the back, and it had a good ambiance. The cashier who took my order was friendly and she got my order ready pretty quickly, but she gave me a regular baklava instead of the chocolate one I ordered. Her mistake was paid off because although it seemed a bit on the dryer side, it was delicious! My order was a to-go order. Aside from dessert (lol), I ordered the "Super Gyro Plate." It had a good amount of beef and lamb and half of the container was filled with French fries. The salad was just okay. The salad wasn't too fresh, because the cucumber wasn't crunchy! This comes with one skewer of lamb souvlaki on a bed of rice, a couple pieces of pita, tzatziki sauce, and a side of Greek salad + dressing. The lamb souvlaki was tender and not chewy. We originally placed an order for take out but saw that there wasn't anyone sitting in the outdoor area so we decided to eat there. Food = so good! I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I'm not a huge fan of lamb, so I got the steak sandwich in gyro style. The taste was phenomenal BUT the meat was like stew meat and the pieces were really big and a little bit tough... I had to take the steak pieces out and cut them, and put back into the gyro. If you could cut the pieces smaller so you're not biting out a HUGE piece of meat out of the gyros (or sandwich ) I would give a 5 star- everything else was good! read more
