By far the best Chinese restaurant in the city of Long Beach. I was told to come here on the advice…read moreof one of my clients. She did not let me down as we walked in and noticed how truly authentic it was going to look. Chinese decor on the walls and boxes of restaurant supples in the corners. Just as it should be. The bonus was that they had a TV showing the NBA Finals when we arrived. Pretty nice touch and in the back of the restaurant so as not to distract everyone. We went with a couple of our favorite dishes to run along and the Chicken Lo Mein was pretty good. Crispy pieces of chicken and soft noodles and veggies to go with it. We chose to get Mongolian Beef and it was absolutely fantastic. Crispy celery, green onions and decent sized pieces of meat in a terrific sauce. I would love to try to replicate that. My wife wanted a shrimp dish so she ordered the honey walnut and it even looked good to me when they brought it. She loves egg rolls, so she got a four piece and said they were pretty good. My biggest wow of the visit was their vegetable fried rice. MY GOD. I dont know what they season or flavor it with, but every fork full of rice that i ate, it was this sense of flavor that reminded me of butter or something else. I really loved the sensation i experienced from this particular dish. I am really curious on what it actually is. I will definitely be ordering out or coming in for Chinese because that reminded of many other places that put out fantastic dishes.

To be honest, the fried rice was a nice way to break the monotony of just plain ole white rice. I'd you like a good value, the entrees are also proportionally very generous. I thought both were quite good. You get plenty of protein and each dish tasted exactly how you'd expect them to taste. Highly recommend L V if you're in the mood for good ole Chinese food.

I feel like many of the same staff members have been here for years, and their kindness and hospitality have never changed. Also tried the jampong/spicy seafood noodle and tangsuyuk/sweet and sour pork. Jajangmyeon was the standout with tangsuyuk a close second. The jam pong was good, but the raw chilis left in the soup left a bitter taste. The soup was nice and spicy because of it though, which was nice. They also provide kimchi, danmuji, raw onion with black bean sauce as the banchan which is a plus. Service was decent and as expected for a place like this where language isn't a barrier but doesn't allow for friendly banter either. Pro tip: call ahead for take out orders. Was ready and packed nicely in a box when I arrived. There is parking available for pick up as well.

Stopped in on the last day of a business trip to LA, right before heading to the airport. I was…read moreactually on my way to a spaghetti place, but it was closed, my fault for not double-checking. Got off my Uber, wandered around the mall, and stumbled into this little gem. Ordered the classic Lanzhou beef lamian, and it was genuinely delicious. The broth was the star, deeply savory and clean. The noodles had a proper bite to them, not overcooked or mushy the way hand-pulled noodles sometimes go. The beef was good. My one nitpick: the daikon was sliced a touch too thin. It's not about generosity, it's about texture, a thicker cut would give a much better bite against the noodles. Service was warm and efficient, and I liked the diverse crew running the place. The room has that comfortable, unpretentious feel of a neighborhood Chinese noodle shop. Great bowl of noodles, and it's close to my office, so I'll absolutely be back on my next trip.

I really appreciate that there's something for everyone on the menu, whether you're craving noodles, dumplings, rice dishes, or something a little different. It's very unassuming from the outside since it's in a strip mall but the inside makes you forget where you are. Cucumber salad was great. Chow mein & fried rice could do no wrong. It had a very good fresh orange flavor with a slight spice. We came in on a Tuesday night & it was empty so the service was fast. Staff were great & patient. I saved this place thanks to some Yelp friends who said it was really good. It was!! Started off with dumplings which were good. Also got an order of cream cheese wontons. Mongolian beef was yummy and we all liked it but it was very ginger forward. The orange chicken was different, different than what we have ever had before at any Chinese restaurant. The breading was different as well as the taste; they use fresh orange peel in it. It was quite a bit spicy to me, spicier than I like. My daughter didn't care for this version at all. The veggie chow mein noodles were great and my daughter loved them. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and simply decorated. We liked the ambiance. We will for sure go back again.

We tried two appetizers; the beef in chili oil and the beef roll pancake. Beef roll pancake was my fav, always so good! The beef in chili oil was not bad, but personally I wouldn't order it again. The beef was very cold! I think that's how it is supposed to be so I understand, it's just not my preference. It tasted fine, but I'm just not a fan of the cold beef dish. I got the beef belly noodle soup and it was very good. I really like the broth and the noodles were yum. The meat was very tender as well. I would definitely get this again! When we finished our meal it did take quite a bit to get a hold of the check, but it's okay. That you do have to flag down the server for, so it could take a sec. The inside dining area was very clean and spacious and so were the restrooms!
