super cute tiny cheung fun place! i stopped by around 11 on a weekend morning and was told there'd be a 35 minute wait so i had a little stroll around chinatown after ordering. the staff are super nice and kind and i ate inside at the standing counter after my food was ready! i tried the signature cheung fun and that was delicious with small piece of roast pork and shrimp! the sauces were a perfect accompaniment and i thoroughly enjoyed my quick brunch!

Best rice roll I've ever had. I ordered the signature, under $10 and you will be so full. There is always a wait so make sure pre-order by phone or just return back when they are ready. They'll tell you the current wait time.

Found this place via TikTok and I'm so glad I did because this place was one of my favorites while visiting NYC! We got here early morning on a Thursday, no line! I love the different varieties of "toppings" you can pick from. My daughter had the egg rice roll, I had the roast pork rice roll and my son had the shrimp rice roll. Not to mention, the price was only like $2.75 each! I wish I had ordered more!! I'm so mad at myself, Lol. The service was really quick and easy. I love how they spoke Cantonese. It's authentic AF. There was a lady backing up the soy sauce with the machine, and I've never seen that before. I didn't even know that's how they make it. There were a few stools outside so you can sit and enjoy. We took ours to a nearby park and ate it there. All right, let's get back to the rolls... it was delicious!!! My kids enjoyed their rolls, and I killed mine within minutes. It was hot, fresh and so amazing, it's simple, but damn it was delicious! Even better than fancy dim sum restaurants. I am having withdrawals as we speak. Anyways, you must try these rice noodles!

Definitely the BEST rice rolls I've ever had! As a LA native from the 626/SGV (iykyk), I've had my fair share of rice rolls and I have pretty high standards. I got the number 1 classic with bbq pork, egg, and shrimp. What really stood out to me was how smooth and thin the rolls were. I feel like that is the deciding factor of how good of a rice roll is. I highly recommend this place. I came on a random weekday at around 10am and there was no wait.

Stopped by Yi Ji Shi Mo Noodle Corp on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised there was no line. Ordering is simple, you go straight to the cashier, and the menu is pretty straightforward since the noodles only come in one size. I ordered the noodles with pork, and the food came out really quickly. I mentioned it was to go, and the cashier included a packet of soy sauce. Don't skip the hot oil, it really elevates the flavor, and you can add it before taking your order out. The noodles tasted fresh and satisfying overall. A quick, no fuss spot if you're craving something comforting and flavorful.

Enough for one's breakfast.

Woke up at 7am to call in my order, then walked there and got it around 7:40. My understanding is that it's considered a short wait. I got the signature noodle roll ($8.50) and hot almond soup. Both tasted freshly made and satisfying. They packed it with soy sauce and plastic utensils so it was convenient if you are staying nearby.

Shrimp Noodle Rolls! Be sure to tell them which sauces you want :)

Simple, satisfying, and easy on the wallet. These Shrimp Noodle Rolls are silky thin and hit the spot. Freshly made to order, so expect to wait a bit, but that first bite makes it worth it! There are a few stools outside to perch on while you wait. Great service. The ladies working there are super warm and welcoming. Heads up: bring cash! This spot is a solid hole-in-the-wall with takeout only. No frills, just good food done right!

ABSOLUTELY the BEST place I've eaten in New York City. The chang fen are cooked PERFECTLY with the BBQ pork on the inside adding the perfect sweet meaty accent that helps the carb-loaded rice roll still be filling in a protein kind of way. Their sweet soy sauce is amazingly balanced and they offer as much as you want in a massive squirt-bottle you can use to serve yourself! There is a rich almost MSG-like flavor in the aftertaste... We couldn't figure out if it was MSG or something else but it completely sets their chang fen apart from any other I've tried (and I have tried a lot as someone from Hong Kong). I will say, they tend to have completely ridiculous wait-times. I went twice in a week, on Tuesday there was a 30 minute wait-time after placing our order for the food to be ready and on Saturday there was a 2.5 hour wait. That's right a TWO AND A HALF HOUR wait. For such an unbelievably low price though, their dishes provide such good value that I'd say the wait time is worth it since it doesn't require physically standing in a line to wait. You can go do other stuff in chinatown in the meantime!

Hands down one of my favorite spots in NY Chinatown. I came on a Wednesday afternoon as part of a food crawl. There's almost always a wait since everything is made fresh to order but I guarantee you that it's 100% worth it. I ordered the char siu rice roll topped with a couple curry fish balls. The rice rolls are super thin, silky, and perfectly chewy. The curry fish balls were so good that I ordered another round of just the curry fish balls by themselves. Simple flavors but hits the mark every time. I also really like their sesame and almond drinks. Last time I visited, I ordered two huge cups to go so we could enjoy them back at the hotel. The prices are super affordable, which makes this place even better. Note: There is no seating. The space is tiny with just a small counter where people typically stand to eat. This is one of those spots I'd come back to every time I'm in Chinatown. Cheap eats done really well.

Come here if you can or you might be met with a 1+ hour wait. I've tried to come a couple times but never wanted to wait, so I only got to try recently. When I came, I wanted to get their signature. However, I was told that it would be a 40+ minute wait. Fortunately, they had other options I could get right away. I ended up getting their shrimp party instead. They had sauce and chili oil at their standing tables inside the shop. The rice rolls were chewy and the perfect breakfast. While I wouldn't wait for these, I can't deny that they are great.

A lot of Instagram reels mention this place as the best rice rolls in New York City. They are absolutely right. They open early too at 7 AM. I went straight to get here as soon as my Amtrak from Philly arrived at 6:40 AM. Very small store, a lot of signage and menu outside. At 7 AM, they are already busy with phone orders. My order came out fast. I ordered the Signature. It has roast pork, egg, shrimp, and cilantro. Very thin noodles, a lot of fillings, not clumpy. I read a sign that you can tell the cashier to add peanut butter sauce, sweet sauce, red sauce, or sesame seed sauce. I wasn't aware of the sauces until later. There is a small counter with sauces. I add the one that is salty and it definitely adds more flavor. Fish balls has a bit spicy kick. They are ok. Friendly lady at the counter. Cash only. Not a big portion but enough to provide a healthy fuel for my NYC outing. I highly recommend coming here early.

Always busy to wait and cash only in Chinatown. Around 12 pm the walk-in orders demand a 25-minute waiting. Storefront is crowded and small but you can see their kitchen and the making of rice rolls. We order two rice rolls with a small cup of soybean milk, and pay for 20 dollars. Don't expect too much of services. Due to the communication we order a different rolls than we expected so we ask why there is no cilantro in the plate. But the staff immediately fight back to blame ourselves. This is quite brutal since we just want to reconcile the situation. Food quality is okay but the price already absorbs it. Consider the portion and cost to make rice rolls, I would consider it slightly pricey and overrated.

However, as the night got busier, the lady sitting next to me didn't receive a menu till I have her mine. When I first entered the was a strange almost off putting smell. However once I was seated at the bar, the fragrant scent of cooking food quickly dispelled the smell. The food itself was quite tasty. Two of the dim sum were first for me (edamame dumpling and a seasoned rice shumai). They all had wonderful distinctive flavors. However I felt the prices were a little large and awkward to eat. The price seemed reasonable to me for the service, ambiance, and food. However I couldn't give them 4 stars because I just can't get behind paying for white rice with an entree at an Asian restaurant.
