Took our 4 and 6 year old grandsons to Yesterland today (as we have done for the past three years )and I can honestly say it was our best experience yet ! They were finally tall enough to ride everything and they didn't leave anything out . Literally every staff member we encountered seemed genuinely pleased to be there and made our boys feel special . We booked our tickets online and felt like the value far exceeded anything we've experienced in DFW. Lines were short, restrooms were clean and plenty of handwashing stations. I would highly recommend driving the hour it takes from DFW to experience this nostalgic place . read more

This is a fun amusement park good for the kids and family . I recommend coming during the fall season when it's not so hot. There are not too many shaded areas and be prepared to walk. We had a blast amidst the heat and took advantage of all the fun things they had to do. Priced very well and adorable . We did not check out the food or drinks here but they have them available onsite . Looking at reviews from others, it did not seem to be worth it anyway. They have hayrides, fun rides for toddles and adult rides as well. I like the facts that we didn't have to wait super long for the rides and staff was very courted and welcoming. This was a very cool experience for a pumpkin patch. Clearly, it's way more than just that. You'll probably forget you can actually buy pumpkins there with the rides, animals, food, paintball, and apple canons. It's pretty amazing and a dream for pics. Only advice I'd give is skip the typical fair food of corn dogs and burgers. They're nothing to write home about. But they have brisket tacos which aren't as expensive and more flavorful. read more

YesterLand Farm - Yesterland - Pumpkin Patches Near Me - Canton, Texas

While driving to Dallas, TX in late October 2023, we noticed a large carnival/fair approximately an hour out from Dallas. I made a note of the sign/name so that we could look it up later. According to the Yesterland Farm website, take a "nostalgic step back in time" for "old-fashioned fun on the farm with vintage roller coasters and train rides, farm animals, pony rides, petting zoo, live duck and pig races." This is very similar to what P-6 Farms in Montgomery, TX offers but on a much larger scale. Pay one price and most activities are included with admission (extra cost for zombie paintball, apple cannons, etc). Yesterland Farm also featured skeletons for "Spooktacular Nights" in October. The intermittent thunderstorms prevented us from attending "Spooktacular Nights" (rain, standing water, mud), but luckily, they extended the dates and we were able to visit on their last night for the Fall Festival. - Admission: $87.92 for 3 (including taxes and fees) - Lemonade - $7.44 - Cream soda - $5.31 - Parking: Free I tried searching for prices on food and activities prior to our visit, but couldn't really find anything. This review is specifically for the Fall Festival 2022. Okay so this place is not perfect but stay with me on why I give it all my stars. In my family, we are BIG on Halloween!!!!! My boys are 6&8. We have experienced many fall and Halloween activities. So this year I planed carefully on where we spend our time and money. This place is truly magical and embodies the spirit of the season in all aspects. I mean once it gets dark the air fills with fog and it's moody and cute. I love mostly that it is family friendly. Something for all of us to enjoy together. Mommy and Daddy like to have fun too and we sure did! We got there around 7 pm and it wasn't enough time to do it all. Maybe next year we'll get there a couple hours earlier. We stayed till close and then drove for almost 2 hrs back home but it was well worth it. I highly recommend closed shoes. This is a field and I wore slides and that was a big mistake. My feet were completely dirty before we even got to the gate. I also recommend plenty of wipes and maybe a small bottle of hand soap. This place only has porta potties. This is my nightmare!!!! In this nasty world we need plumbing. Maybe in the future they can build actual restrooms. My tip is go in the barn. You're welcome. The apple cannons were a blast! . Oh and the staff,..... the staff were the sweetest people. Not the people at the front gate ticketing, those ladies were not welcoming. But all others all the rest of the staff super sweet even the young ones. Say hi to the lady in the pumpkin she was so sweet. Don't skip the kettle corn, the corn in a cup, and the pork skins. Yuuuuum! The haunted corn maze was fun, our boys were terrified and cried but they ended up wanting to go back and do it again. The fireworks are once a night on certain nights, don't miss it. Here's the downside beside the restroom situation, the animal area. Uhm maybe we don't need it. It seemed like none of the areas seemed the animals were happy. They looked miserable, especially the very vocal bird screaming bloody murder. It was so sad. Overall I fell in love with this place. It's not crowded, everyone is civilized, can't say the same for other places. This is not a place just to go and do your Instagram posts it's a place to be in the moment and be present. 1/2 the rides was closed, only 1 attendant working the ride, so it took longer to get on the ride and they lost our school lunches. Our lunches ended up in someone's else's bus. They the manager said since they finally found our lunches and we decided to go to lunch early, they only lost our lunches for 15 mins vs the time we really did wait to eat, 45 mins. My grandson had a blast. All rides were open. Lines went pretty fast while they do pay attention on giving you enough ride time to make it worth your while. Do not plan on eating there. There is nothing special about the food options. Funnel cakes turn to rock within a half hour (what ever you may of received that was soft and edible). Funnel cakes are the stable to fair going. For me anyway. TOTAL deal breaker for me was the dust. With as much as they charge they could afford to mulch the play area. Also need to throw some small pebble rocks down on the big major walk ways or Atleast some cheap asphalt. The solution needs to be to be wagon and stroller friendly. If they won't take a profit cut to fix the dust issue, they could charge a low two dollar per car parking fee, as the parking is free now, having the proceeds go toward maintaining the grounds. If the dust issue would get resolved, I would for sure go back but it was just to much. If you have any breathing related issues DO NOT GO... if you have dry eye issues DO NOT GO...if you have sinus issues DO NOT GO... and for sure do not play in the playground area as it is five inches thick of this fine dirt. Last but not least, I only seen one enter and exit entry that were at the same opening. If there was an emergency this could be a disaster As the park and parking lot appear to be completely fenced in. read more

I've been here twice in a week because it's such a fun place for the family! They are opened from 10am-5pm. There are many rides, animals, food & fun! I would say that this is a place for children of the age of 12 and under. Before you even come here, buy your tickets online. Its $3 dollar cheaper than it is on site. They are $10 at the door and $7 online which helps a lot. When you check in they give you cups of bird and animal feed. This is the first time they are opened in the summer but they are typically opened in the fall and winter. They have all sorts of animals; goats, donkey, sheep, cows, chickens, as well as exotic animals and birds such as parrots, camels, etc. You can pet and feed baby goats which is fun! They have a small restaurant where they bbq meats and sell fresh produce. The best part is the peach icecream and cream sodas that they sell! It was so refreshing to have a cold drink and ice cream after a hot day of playing with animals and riding rides. They have some fun little rides for the kids to enjoy as well. We spend about 3-4 hours here and brought our own food and had a picnic since we had a large family group. There are porter potties on site which are extremely clean and not smelly and hand washing stations with sanitizer to ensure you and your family and clean and safe! I took my family there yesterday and had a blast. My daughter (almost 12) and my son (almost 5) had a blast on the attractions. We bought our tickets online and got the package that came with tokens which you need for some attractions. The price in my eyes was fair for the amount of things you get to do. We all loved the paintball range and apple launcher. The petting zone and pony rides were fun too. The food was par for course for what you would expect. We had the cheeseburgers and kids had hotdogs. They had other varieties there that smelt amazing including brick oven pizza and tacos. Now for the minor complaints, the restrooms are all porta-potty but they kept them really cleaned. The weather was over 95 degrees and had no issues with the porta-potties. I recommend using the ones near the middle of the park as they have running water for the sinks, otherwise you have to use the portable foot pump style sinks. For food at the hamburger stand in the middle of the park I would like to make a suggestion as to not place your lettuce and tomatoes in the same baggy so those that don't like tomatoes can still enjoy lettuce on their burgers. We drove down from Prosper TX so it was a decent drive but so worth it. Again, the above complaints/suggestions are minor to the overall experience. The staff across the park were amazing and kind. Yesterland Farm is overwhelmingly a great place to visit. Take any critique I make in this review with a grain of salt because it's all an after thought or idealistic in my eyes. I think the first positive thing that needs to be said is that the staff is incredible. It's very impressive to me that a good portion of the employees seem to be high school kids, or ones fresh out of school. At amusement parks you often get employees who just TOLERATE the guests, but we never got that impression here. The staff interacted extremely well and appropriately with my two young daughters and all of their friends, enthusiastically and genuinely engaging with them. There were several moments at the park where the staff went beyond what would be expected. One such example was an employee at the BBQ food court who noticed after I was given my bottles of water that two hadn't been chilled, and swapped them out for cold ones. I really appreciated the gesture, because I hadn't noticed. Sticking with the food court, the quality of the food was very good. The sausage on a stick, and smoked pork were especially great. The rides vary well and there are ride options for those as young as 2. They are operated well, and height restrictions and rules are strictly enforced. While in the moment it was a bit irritating, as a grown man being told I can't stand inside of the gate while my 2 year old rides a motorized horse carriage going .02mph, I understand that if any rules are going to be enforced, all need to. So respect to the employees for sticking to their guns (I didn't argue it). The petting zoo part of the park is great. Those goats make me laugh so hard. There's something about 40 goat heads poking out of holes that gets me. On top of that, all of the animals seem very friendly and domesticated. I'm no zoologist but they all seem pretty well cared for as well. Now for the negatives, which, again, are just nitpicks: We had my daughters' joint birthday party out there today, and got a discounted rate during an online sale on a lot of the tickets earlier, but still had to buy a handful of tickets at the gate, to cover all guests. Tickets at the gate are a bit hefty I think. For 4 tickets I think I paid $120 or so. One of these was for a senior who didn't ride anything and just wanted to be around for the party. A discounted senior rate would be nice. Also as a parent who only got on rides to support or ensure my child could ride them, it seems a bit steep. Also, we need to discuss the price of water at YesterLand Farm. A bottle of water is $3. I understand a markup for profits, but when you can nearly get a 24 pack of water for that much, $3 is excessive. Especially for an amusement park that is 98% outdoor with very little shade. The rest of the inflated food and drink prices I can deal with, but water should literally be half that price at most. Also, they won't fill your souvenir cup up with water for $3 either, you have to buy a 20 oz bottle. Sticking with the heat, another covered pavilion or two would be nice. There's one toward the front, near the main food area, and one near the back. Part of me appreciates the wide open nature of the place, but some shade, in the way of trees or tents would go a long way. And that's it! If you're looking for a cutesy date, OR you have grade-school aged kids, Yesterland Farm should greatly appeal to you. We had an amazing time visiting for Christmas season! It was overpriced and we almost didn't go because of the price for tickets but we had so much fun. We were happy to see a lot of free things to do with admission when we thought we had to use coins for everything. Our favorite things were cattle dummy roping, hay maze, cow train, hayride, s'mores and feeding the animals. We can't wait to make this a yearly tradition with the family. TLDR: Don't say you're open but neglect to say most of your rides are closed. This is in reference to Fall Festival 2023, and less about the experience itself than the Farm's operations, which is why I'm having to split the difference when it comes to my star rating. We brought our teenage daughter and her friends to last year's (2022) Spooktacular nights and even though it was crowded and a little bit muddy, they really enjoyed it. They loved the rides especially. Which brings us to this year. It's an hour and a half drive from Princeton, and farther from where we were coming Friday afternoon after picking up our daughter's friends in Plano, but with traffic delays and the storm we could see coming in, we decided to cancel and try again yesterday, Sunday. The Yesterland website had weather updates both Friday and Saturday acknowledging the rain but saying they were still open. Sunday had no weather updates on the website at all, indicating all was fine despite the constant drizzle and showers. When we arrived, though, we were told that only ONE of the rides--one of the main attractions of the park and the main reason our crew likes coming--was open because of the rain. (Plus it was extremely muddy.) So the choice was either eat the $40+ in gas and lunch for our 150-mile roundtrip, or try again on its final weekend next week, since the fall season tickets are nonrefundable and can't be used for the Christmas season immediately after. Considering they'd been looking forward to it for a couple of months, we decided to eat it and come back next week. But you can be dang sure we'll be calling ahead next week, even though we shouldn't have to. That's what the weather updates on the website and Facebook page should be for. Don't tell people that "We're open despite the weather!" without telling them that most of your rides are closed because of the weather. read more

The spooktacular nights event is not worth the money. The lines for all of the activities are soooooo long. And they do not move quickly at all. Zombie paintball took an hour to do. Unless you like long lines and crowds and crowds of people I would suggest not going. Went last year the first Saturday in November and had a great time. No lines for food or rides. That was apparently a fluke went to the spooktacular event and could not do anything. Also for what was advertised online didn't really see it in the park. Could be wrong though since the lines were so long. 45-50 minute lines for everything. Gave up after an hour and the line never moved for the haunted corn maze. For the cost of the tickets to get in just not really a bang for the buck. My boyfriend, our dog, and I were looking forward to coming here so we could pick out a Christmas tree. We live in Dallas and had to drive about an hour to get there but we didn't mind...that is until we arrived. We were denied entry because of our dog's breed. On their website it says that they welcome dogs as long as they are not a pitbull, Rottweiler, German shepherd, any mix of the sort, any dog that "has a history of biting," etc. due to their insurance policy. Sounds like some cheap insurance policy if you ask me. I highly doubt they'd be asking for any sort of record for a Labrador with a "bite history." They were just flat out discriminatory based on our dog's appearance. Our dog is very well mannered and loves people, especially little kids. He is a mixed breed and my boyfriend even offered to show his paperwork to prove it but they still weren't having it. The security guard was super rude. My boyfriend asked to speak to the manager of the place and he retorted "he's not gonna come and speak to you" in the nastiest tone. We were then asked to leave. We had a fun outing here, but it wasn't 100% what I expected. To set the scene, we drove from Lewisville, TX, so it was a bit of a drive. I'd heard great things about this place, and I wanted a place where we could choose and cut down our own tree. That being said, I knew a tornado hit Canton over the summer and that it wiped out a bunch of Yesterland's trees, so I went in with low expectations on that front. First of all, this place is pretty big! Don't be surprised if you have to park a ways out and walk a bit (but not too far, IMHO). Entry fees vary based on time of year. It was free for us during the Christmas season, but you pay during the fall (or you did in 2017) and you can buy a wristband for rides, etc. We bought my son a wristband for rides and I'm glad we did. He had fun on a big tall slide (old school with the canvas sacks you ride down on), a spinny swings dealie, a little roller coaster, a kiddie train, a small but respectable ferris wheel, and some other stuff. They have free activities, too, but you'll want a wristband for most stuff. These are definitely kiddie rides - I'm glad I didn't pre-buy a wristband for myself. Not needed! Note that pre-buying wristbands online saves you a couple of bucks. Next: trees. The selection of sizable (6' or taller) trees was indeed limited. But that was expected. What was not expected was... the condition of the trees. I guess maybe my expectations were off... but I thought they were pretty ratty. And... I'm almost positive most if not all were spray painted forest green to make their green more appealing. I couldn't verify this for sure, but there was darker green on the grass around them (little rings of dark, unnatural green), too, which seemed verification enough for me. So... that didn't sit too well with me. To me that meant the trees were turning brown and needed artificial green to look good enough to buy. Not cool. BUT! They had brought in quality pre-cut trees since they lost so many to the tornado. Now these were nice trees! They had a lot of fancy firs, like the Fraser Fir we took home. It wasn't cheap - its very top was about 6' tall and it was... $80, I think - but it's gorgeous and it's held up well so far. We've gotten lots of compliments on it and we're happy with it. But that's a long drive for a pre-cut tree... The people working the place were great. Super nice and helpful staff. The kids had a great time (mostly my 5-year old, since the 1.5-year old wasn't old enough to ride much yet). The only question mark is the quality of trees grown on site. I can't fully judge since it was an off-year with the tornado coming through, but I wouldn't drive all the way out there for a tree again... necessarily. We'd come for fun and games and to maybe enjoy something else in the area. East Texas is, after all, a beautiful area. So we might be back... I WOULD like to be able to properly judge their tree farm on a normal year... read more

This is a hopping place. It changes from season to season but you can bet you will enjoy this attraction. They have plenty of parking except for on the first Monday weekend and in that case nobody has enough parking. I like the little roller coaster it's not scary but it's fun to ride and hold your hands up in the air and screaming with all of your fury! read more

This place is a blast for 5 year olds and under. The majority of the rides are catered to the smaller kids which is great. We have twin 3 year olds that absolutely loved it. In addition to the rides, there's duck races, a candy cannon, gemstone mining, pony rides and fishing to name a few. Some of the activities cost extra to do but there's plenty of free activities to keep the kids busy. I was really impressed with the friendly, welcoming staff and how clean and organized everything was. Apparently they have a pumpkin patch in the fall and sell cut your own Christmas trees in the winter. read more

What a huge disappointment! We have come to Yesterland every year on their opening day (Friday after Thanksgiving) with our grandchildren to start our Christmas holiday. I don't even know where to start with how bad this trip was. They opened at Noon. We got there at that time only to find that most of the food trailers were closed (no pizza, chili dogs, corn dogs, nachos, sausage on a stick, bbq sandwiches, Mac n cheese, cotton candy, tea...I could go on). All that was available were turkey legs and chicken strips. Many of the rides were either closed or being repaired! One roller coaster had to be started by the operator using a long board to push it up the track to get it started! The new train that goes around the corn maze wouldn't start and was being worked on. The big slide wasn't open because the employees were "trying to find the fencing that goes around it" before anyone to get on it! I'm afraid there's a serious accident just waiting to happen. The animal area smelled horribly and I'm actually concerned about the welfare of the animals. We were met with numerous unfriendly young employees at the few rides that were working and at the one grill that was open. The cost is outrageous for the limited amount of things to do and if you just get general admission tickets and not the super package, everything other than the rides are extra! After years of going to Yesterland and from reading numerous reviews of the bad experiences others have had, we will not being going back. And it's a shame because the owners started out with a small yet fun and nostalgic, friendly place to take children on a holiday outing but it now seems to be just about making as much money as possible before people quit going. read more

This used to be such an amazing place. We have attended every fall for the past 8 years. We just left and it was an awful experience. The lines were like nothing we had ever seen before. The lemonade was watered down, no lines in the Cotten candy line but the wait for one bag of often candy was 15 minutes, and the restroom lines were outrageous. When it came time to do the night time activities the line was all the way across the park. For the price we paid, this place is no longer worth it. So this is the best pumpkin patch, farm, Christmas tree patch I have found in the DFW metroplex. They have a corn maze, pumpkin patch, hay-ride, apple gun shooter, live music, pig races, great rides for little kids, and festival food! Found this place while driving to Tyler and had to stop. 1st impression from the highway was a cute little pumpkin patch with a couple of rides....then we walked in. I'm not sure how many acres this place is but it was huge and I'm sure we didn't even see it all. My group consisted of myself, my mom, 12 yr old daughter and 3 yr old nephew and there was plenty to do for all of us! It was a bit pricy to enter the farm ($56...no discount for the toddler) so we passed on the tickets/wristbands and there was still plenty to do for a couple of hours. The corn maze is giant! It was definitely a task to conquer but the maze-oply game made it fun and you didn't focus on how hard (or hot) it was. They have a huge cannon that shot off 40lbs of candy! It is a lot of walking, so be prepared. My only complaint would be the farm isn't very handicap accessible. It's tough to push a wheelchair on the unpaved ground or close parking. Expect to drop some cash if you plan on eating, buying from the gifts hop or riding rides. The tickets are pricy. But if you just want to enjoy the scenery and the free things you can still have a great time with the family. The employees were also very nice, the farm was well maintained and clean. Are you looking for a real review to this Yesterland Farm? Well you're reading the right review. Considering this is someone who used to work there. Let's start with the biggest problem. The animals. I was not the one running the pig races but I did go back there. I was told that the owners would not allow the pigs pins to be cleaned. Which means during the rain there would be feces all over and you would have to wear boots, it smelt horrible. Did y'all know that they made a pregnant pig race? Which is illegal. The petting zoo. I loved being with the animals. But as I started to watch, I realized what was going on. The birds; people provoked them. Not to mention I rarely saw them being fed. The deer are miserable, not allowed to roam and run around. The cages for the animals are the only places they are allowed to be in. There's no free place to just be an animal. Why do you think some of the animals won't come up to you; or may bite you? Now let's venture over to rides. This is what everyone comes for. To let your children have fun and ride these rides for hours. Let me just tell you that most of the rides are not safe at all. I worked on the rides and had a fun time doing it until I realized how often these rides mess up. Or how easy it is for something to go bad. The ever loving Santa ride.. I wouldn't trust it for a minute. Almost every week someone had to fix it and would be broken all day. The range ride, in the big fort. It is holding together by chains because the original bolts are too old to hold it together. You can 100% get a concussion because there is no padding for your head. I had several people want their babies to ride with them on this ride and I wasn't allowed to let them because it's so jerky. If you have any sort of problem, you don't need to get on this ride. Definitely not worth the wait. As for the other rides in this place, they are okay. Moving onto prices. I would never afford to bring family here (coming from someone who's broke). For a family of 4 the price you could be looking at is around $300 just to enter. But that also depends on when you come because they always change prices depending what the season is. Food. It is expensive for a very little portion. Now the meat is 100% legit and it costs that much because it's so good. The rest you could make at home for the amount you're paying. Not worth it! As a former employee I would like to talk about my experience working here. Kama and chuck. Let's talk about the owners before we get into anything else. You see them together and it looks like some people you would want to be, correct? Wrong. They fight constantly! Kama only cares about people spending money. The pig races? She hasn't been back there in years (according to reliable resources). Chuck on the other hand is someone who genuinely cares about the farm and about the people coming in. I rarely saw him when working because he was always gone doing something for the place. Kama on the other hand she has a golf cart and her two dogs going back-and-forth up the farm constantly talking to people or being on Facebook live. Some of you may have parked in the back parking lot. And that is all of our land. But do you know what they have planned for back there? They plan on building houses for family. Now where would money to build a house come from? Well, you. Instead of investing the money towards the farm and making it better, y'all are paying for them to build a home. WHAT FUN! We met my father here since he lives in Lindale. We had so much fun picking out our tree and chopping him down! The best part is this place has everything! It is a GREAT place for the full family. There are rides and food as well as pre cut trees and trees you can chop down yourself! In the grand scheme of things, my family had a good time. I went with my parents, husband and our 2 kids. So, it was expensive. Way to expensive for what we got. My parents and husband didn't ride any of the rides due to medical reasons. It was me and my 2 kids. I don't understand why they don't have senior pricing or special wrist bands for people who cannot participate in a lot of the events. The lines for food were very long. We came here on Saturday and it was not as crowded as I thought it would be. Parking was easy on the dirt lot and the walk was dusty all the way to the front gate. They accept cash and credit. There is food inside that also takes cash or credit. For rides though, you need to buy tickets. The hay ride and corn maze are included with admission. Things such as shooting apples at targets using high powered guns, and a slingshot are not included. Additionally, pony rides are $5 and they do take cash. There are tons of things to do for all ages and lots of photo ops. There are pig races and the animal farm/petting zoo. all this to say that there is wnough here to do which will make your drive worth it! read more
