The womens book section is also excellent, lots of fiction, self-care, and inspirational reads at reasonable prices. The Starbucks inside B&N is a huge plus. Grabbing a coffee while browsing magazines or purchasing a new book makes the experience relaxing and enjoyable. The store is clean, well organized, and has a comfortable atmosphere that encourages you to stay awhile. Definitely a go-to spot for book lovers and anyone who enjoys a good magazine and coffee break! They do have restrooms here. However, people are real pigs, so the restrooms aren't very clean. Ugh. I had selected a Studio Ghibli board game and when checking out, the cashier asked about my favorite Ghibli movies and made a book recommendation for me! Equally the day prior $4, for 3 tubs of books. I could have let it go if it weren't for the comments which I shared with corporate and won't bother to share here. I am extremely offended and never pull the "race" card, but that employee in particular is rude and racist. I drove the items up there in a Porsche I'm QUITE certain I wasn't smoking. I was told they only deserve $1 and that the library wouldn't take them. Unnecessary comments weren't needed. I could have said he looked like a proud boy who just left a far right tattoo parlor but I didn't. I've lived in Frisco for over 11 years and have frequented this location without a problem. If you are a person of color and see this man, spare yourself the trouble when he is evaluating, you will get nothing but profiled. It's not the money clearly, no one cares about that when getting rid of things or giving back. It's the rude and ignorant comments that other patrons didn't have to experience. The rest of the staff was great, kind, and very accommodating. He is combative, ignorant, childish, and rude. His customer service is terrible and for this to be the standard for an ASSISTANT MANAGER is insane. Your staff is a representation of your brand, so if nothing more this is a serious coaching opportunity. For him to feign offense to being called out about being overtly racist was an insult as well. Pure ignorance. Then laughed as if it were funny, as if calling corporate didn't matter. Smug, ignorant and arrogant. Like what are you gonna do about it? These type of ignorant employees are the reason why companies lose businesses that were once cherished and reputable.
