The owners were very helpful and informative, wide selection of plants on beautiful grounds that gave ne a lot of ideas on how to group plants based on full sun, semi-shade or shade. I took a lot of pictures for reference. Additionally, they have plant lists for natives and deer resistance and can order plants if not in stock. I plan to come back in the fall - the best time to plant perennials, trees and shrubs. read more

We found unique and familiar plants and had a good experience overall. The cute little out buildings were a pleasant surprise. They gave a 20% discount for Mothers Day which was equal to about 2 free plants! That was a nice surprise. We will make Blue Moon part of our annual Plant-Rescue mission! read more

Looked high and low for copper plants for front garden to no avail. On a suggestion from a friend called Blue Moon who had four which they saved for us. We drove a hundred miles for a delightful visit-the gardens are beautiful, the plants healthy, and the people were most helpful-even guided us to a nearby place for lunch. Enjoyed the textile building as an added perk. Young man who loaded our plants into the car was so helpful. read more

I was so glad to receive their email stating they were returning to their 7 days a week hours. I drove over on Sunday from Mansfield, TX (111 miles one way). I visited one other time and loved the place. This time however I was disappointed. I was never greeted even though there were helpers all around. That would have been fine if my check out had been friendlier. The woman never greeted me and instead told another helper to help her check me out, never looking at or acknowledging me. The whole situation start to finish felt cold. I don't think I'll make the effort to drive there again, even though I had planned to go to their spring festival. I just keep going back and back and back and- well, you get the idea. Fantastic, helpful and knowledgeable people who seem to love being there. The nursery, in itself, is a work of art! Every time I go, I see something new and I don't mean just plants. I find new little paths and gardens and places to sit and relax. They have a little shop that I've not had time (nor money) to venture into just yet. I sent my husband to get a tree that I'd bought and he came home just raving about Blue Moon. That man hates nurseries but fell in love with this nursery at first sight. He wants to go with me next time I go. Enough said! read more

This is one of the most magical places for gardeners in all of East Texas. It is not a normal nursery or garden center. It is like home, and is a home. The Staff are very warm and helpful. The plants are of such a varied variety that you will always find something you have never seen before, and just have to have. The layout is on a homestead which makes shopping more like cruising someone's own garden. Which allows you to see how to best incorporate plants into your own garden. They also have a very nice gift shop with cool items. The location is convenient from Dallas and Tyler and is well worth the trip. Just be sure to make a day of it and see Edom, TX and have some pie at The Shed. You can't go wrong. read more

Last minute, I was trying to locate accent flowers for my mom's memorial service that was being held at her house. I went to Blue Moon 30 minutes prior to closing desperately looking for the right thing. I explained what I was looking for and they immediately started making suggestions. They even showed me plants that were held in the greenhouse and not out for sale. I was able to find table decorations and several showy plants. The staff at Blue Moon helped find appropriate pots. They basically held my hand through the whole purchase. I have shopped and Blue Moon for many years. They are the ultimate in customer service and their plants are always beautiful and healthy. I highly recommend them for plant and yard purchases. read more
