Green Goat Winery is a lovely place to gather with friends in midst of vineyard any Fri 2-8pm & Sat Noon-8pm. Rip & Cindy's inside & outside spaces are warm & inviting. The new pavilion offers distance between tables. Follow their FB & IG pages to catch musicans bringing original acoustical performances. This winery is wonderful - the owners are super chill and kind. The Bo beep (black sheep) wine is a port with hints of coffee - unlike any wine I have ever had and I wish I would have bought a bottle! Come check it out next time you are in east Texas

Such a neat place off the beaten path! Great wine, highly recommend if you're in the area to stop by!

Are you interested in wine? You must be because otherwise you wouldn't be reading this. While visiting some friends in Texas they suggested we check this place out. So on a Saturday around noon we wandered on in. If you're about a clean place to drink some wine this is it. I can't tell you much about the wine, but my wife and friends sure seemed to enjoy it. But don't be deterred from checking this place out. They have beer for us non winos. A wine sampling will cost you $8 and get you six good sized sampling's. The owner Rip and his wife and staff are great people to chat with while you sample your wine. On Friday and Saturday evenings they have live local music.

I had the distinct pleasure of visiting a little jewel of a winery in West Texas today...Valle…read moredella Pace!!! I arrived hungry and they offered me 5 different options of Italian style pizza in keeping with their Italian style wines. It was larger than a flatbread and smaller than a typical Napolitano pie and it was rectangular versus circular and I polished the whole thing off while tasting through 4 of their delightful and unique wines. I started with the owner's suggestion of Blondie, their Blanc du Noir. What you immediately notice is the balance of acidity and fruit in this very affordable wine, as are all of their wines. I then tasted their Albariño, a bottle I'm taking home on the plane back to the Napa Valley. Next the owner's Son, Josh, suggested the RAM Shiraz which reminded me a bit of a California Pinot due to the color but wasn't as dry or fruit forward as Pinots often are. I finished with their Cabernet Sauvigon -Whiskey Barrel. Talk about a Cab you never tasted before. There was a hint of Whiskey on the nose and more than a hint of Whiskey on the palate...the barrel definitely infused its personality into the wine. Finally I had to have their Cheescake and as you can see in the pic it was drizzled in chocolate. That's Dr Don, the Owner posing with dessert. If you want to expand your East Texas winery day, I strongly encourage you to visit Valle della Pace.

Their wines are average at best, but you have to give them an "A" for effort. If you're in the area, I'd suggest stopping by just to get a flavor of wine from this part of Texas. However, I wouldn't make a special trip because you'll be disappointed. I suggest trying their reds over their whites.

Here is why this place is a must-visit: * The Vibe: It is the perfect balance of casual and relaxing. They had soft live music playing in the background that set a wonderful tone--not too loud, just enough to keep the energy light while we caught up. * The Food: We are still talking about the artichoke dip! It was the perfect starter, and the pizzas were delicious and hit the spot after a day of tasting. * The "Cuteness" Factor: One of the highlights was finding their adorable cow plushies. They are actually flown in from Scotland, and our group couldn't resist--they are the perfect souvenir to remember the trip! Whether you're a serious wine lover or just looking for a beautiful place to unwind with your best friends, this ranch has such a welcoming, "stay-a-while" atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
