We only, this past weekend, discovered this place...wow, what an experience! Rae and Brett are wonderful people. The atmosphere and service here is second to none. Oh yeah, the wine is exceptionally tasteful as well. We had a wonderful time visiting, relaxing and drinking wine. The grounds are well kept and the winery facility is warm and inviting. Rae opened the door and welcomed us before we walked into the yard. I cant say enough good things about the time we were able to spend here. We definitely recommend going here and we will be going back on a regular basis. read more

Came with my dog in a Friday evening, and Rae and Brett were so welcoming! The outdoor patio is really lovely with plenty of seating and lights strung above the tables. Wine flight was excellent and the pizza was just the right amount of food for one person. Music on the speakers fit the vibe well too. Came out to Athens for a few days (from Dallas) with my cousins and decided to check out this winery. Glad we did! I enjoyed Porch Swing white wine a lot, and others really enjoyed the Cab Franc tremendously. The family that owns the place were so sweet and made the experience so much better. The waitress was so helpful and patience as we made our choices. Also, as the weather got colder, we went inside, and they let us order pizza. So we sat and drank wine, ate pizza, and played dominos and had a fantastic time. Highly recommend!! read more

What a cool experience. We drove through a residential area to get there but right past it are grape vines and a beautiful log building. We parked and as we walked up to the door we were greeted and welcomed by the owner and patrons sitting at a table. We were welcomed inside as well and enjoyed the tasting over great conversation. The wines are all Texas grapes and probably the best expression of Texas grapes I have seen. The Tempranillo reserve is excellent and the sweet wines are going to appeal to many Texas wine drinkers. Who would have thought a couple of wine lovers would have stumbled upon a great little winery tasting room in Athens Texas. Rae was a happy sweet hostess who described how she and the other P's came to open the tasting room. The Cabernet Franc was our favorite with overtones of cherry and cranberry. Love this winery!!! Love the wine and love the owners! They are friendly! They are kind and they are just the nicest people. They don't offer much in food yet, but we their wine is top notch. We always get two or three to go and drink one or two there. It's tucked away and nestled on a back road so you almost feel lost in the woods. Don't skip out on this winery. read more

My husband and I were staying at the Getaway House in Larue, TX and were looking for a fun afternoon adventure after hiking. We saw 3 P's In A Vine on Yelp and gave it a go and we're obsessed! It was the most beautiful property (gorgeous vines with a beautiful log cabin vineyard). We were greeted by the most friendly owners, Rae & Brett. They were the sweetest couple and made incredible wines! I got the pick your own wine flight (5 wines for $12, so reasonable & large pours ;)) and my husband got a glass of the cab & Tempranillo reserve. All of the wines were delicious!!! We brought our 2 dogs and had such an incredible evening. Thank you Rae & Brett - such wonderful hospitality. We will definitely be back! read more

So glad we went! It's such a cute little winery. Everyone working there is so friendly and the service was so great! Our waitress was a girl with long dark brown curly hair and she was great - she was super nice and attentive. When I wanted to buy a wine, she was happy to give me a complimentary sample to make sure I will like it. The Cabernet is very good and easy to drink - the sangrias are also really good! This is a great local family owned vineyard. They have some great whites and reds from sweet to dry so something for everyone. They have a beautiful tasting room and a patio that is a great place to hang out and sip your favorite wine in the spring and fall. My favorite is their once a month bring your own meat event. They fire up the grills and provide baked potato and salad and you just buy the wine. Give this place a try and I am sure you will be back. read more

I spent the weekend in Mabank and stopped at some wineries in the area to pick up some good, Texas wine, and this was such a lovely winery and vineyard! I was so impressed with the staff and owners. They are some of the friendliest people you will meet in the area and you can see how much care and passion they have put into their business. They are warm and welcoming. Their wine is very good. I enjoyed everything I sampled and left with a few bottles. I will definitely return! read more

Came here while on vacation, and I highly recommend stopping here. The people are so friendly, and it's a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. We had our pups and sat on the patio, and they came to us and took care of us. The wine is amazing, I fell in love with the Porch Swing wine. Very nice, small winery (read, small business). Very personable owners that take pride in their product, establishment and your experience. During the warmer months they do a BYOM (bring your own meat) so you can grill your own food and pair it one of their great wines. The setting is very warm and always clean. read more

Brett and Rae, the owners, are super sweet and enjoy sharing the story behind their winery. They offer a wine for every palate. We lean towards drier wines and enjoyed 6! All their wines are made from Texas grapes. Their tastings are 5 for 10 dollars and you keep the glass. We added an additional tasting to make the 6 we tried. Not a bad wine of the bunch. Our favorites were the Chardonnay, very citrusy with a slick oaky taste, and the Tempranillo Reserve, super smooth woodsy wine. Really an amazing Texas Temp. Enjoyed our time and would love to have stayed and kicked back at their place if we'd have had more time. We will be back next time we're in the areas. read more

This was voted best place in Athens for a date for a reason. It seems like there is always some fun event going on. Of course, the wines are why people come. We prefer dry wine, but they also have sweeter wines if you are into it. I don't think I've ever found a tasting of 5 wines better priced than theirs at only $10.
