    enjoying pizza and wine
    Anu G.

Came out to Athens for a few days (from Dallas) with my cousins and decided to check out this winery. Glad we did! I enjoyed Porch Swing white wine a lot, and others really enjoyed the Cab Franc tremendously. The family that owns the place were so sweet and made the experience so much better. The waitress was so helpful and patience as we made our choices. Also, as the weather got colder, we went inside, and they let us order pizza. So we sat and drank wine, ate pizza, and played dominos and had a fantastic time. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful log building made by the owner

What a cool experience. We drove through a residential area to get there but right past it are grape vines and a beautiful log building. We parked and as we walked up to the door we were greeted and welcomed by the owner and patrons sitting at a table. We were welcomed inside as well and enjoyed the tasting over great conversation. The wines are all Texas grapes and probably the best expression of Texas grapes I have seen. The Tempranillo reserve is excellent and the sweet wines are going to appeal to many Texas wine drinkers. Highly recommended.

Who would have thought a couple of wine lovers would have stumbled upon a great little winery tasting room in Athens Texas. Rae was a happy sweet hostess who described how she and the other P's came to open the tasting room. The Cabernet Franc was our favorite with overtones of cherry and cranberry. I'm sure this area will thrive with wine!!

My husband and I were staying at the Getaway House in Larue, TX and were looking for a fun afternoon adventure after hiking. We saw 3 P's In A Vine on Yelp and gave it a go and we're obsessed! It was the most beautiful property (gorgeous vines with a beautiful log cabin vineyard). We were greeted by the most friendly owners, Rae & Brett. They were the sweetest couple and made incredible wines! I got the pick your own wine flight (5 wines for $12, so reasonable & large pours ;)) and my husband got a glass of the cab & Tempranillo reserve. All of the wines were delicious!!! We brought our 2 dogs and had such an incredible evening. Thank you Rae & Brett - such wonderful hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Our…read moregroup of six recently visited for a mini-trip, and honestly, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we ended up staying hours longer than we originally planned. Here is why this place is a must-visit: * The Vibe: It is the perfect balance of casual and relaxing. They had soft live music playing in the background that set a wonderful tone--not too loud, just enough to keep the energy light while we caught up. * The Food: We are still talking about the artichoke dip! It was the perfect starter, and the pizzas were delicious and hit the spot after a day of tasting. * The "Cuteness" Factor: One of the highlights was finding their adorable cow plushies. They are actually flown in from Scotland, and our group couldn't resist--they are the perfect souvenir to remember the trip! Whether you're a serious wine lover or just looking for a beautiful place to unwind with your best friends, this ranch has such a welcoming, "stay-a-while" atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

I had the distinct pleasure of visiting a little jewel of a winery in West Texas today...Valle…read moredella Pace!!! I arrived hungry and they offered me 5 different options of Italian style pizza in keeping with their Italian style wines. It was larger than a flatbread and smaller than a typical Napolitano pie and it was rectangular versus circular and I polished the whole thing off while tasting through 4 of their delightful and unique wines. I started with the owner's suggestion of Blondie, their Blanc du Noir. What you immediately notice is the balance of acidity and fruit in this very affordable wine, as are all of their wines. I then tasted their Albariño, a bottle I'm taking home on the plane back to the Napa Valley. Next the owner's Son, Josh, suggested the RAM Shiraz which reminded me a bit of a California Pinot due to the color but wasn't as dry or fruit forward as Pinots often are. I finished with their Cabernet Sauvigon -Whiskey Barrel. Talk about a Cab you never tasted before. There was a hint of Whiskey on the nose and more than a hint of Whiskey on the palate...the barrel definitely infused its personality into the wine. Finally I had to have their Cheescake and as you can see in the pic it was drizzled in chocolate. That's Dr Don, the Owner posing with dessert. If you want to expand your East Texas winery day, I strongly encourage you to visit Valle della Pace.
