I chose to get married outside because my wedding was in October, and I can't even put into words how beautiful it was. The whole bridal party kept saying "I can't even believe this place exists in East Texas!" I had a very large bridal party (11 bridesmaids) and the dressing room accommodated everyone very comfortably even with our hair/makeup team in there. As silly as it sounds, the bridal suite was the one thing I was picky about while I was "venue shopping" and the Villa certainly has that part figured out! We opened the doors to the patio and had the most relaxing/stress free day of getting pampered! The reception room is so elegant and very spacious with a built in bar area. I could write a book on this place but words just don't do it justice! Not only is the venue amazing, but their team of coordinators/owners are the absolute BEST. Rhonda and Bonnie made sure every detail was taken care of so that I didn't have to stress about a single thing. It's a very quaint place- there is a patio area outside where you can picnic and drink wine. If it rains though, that area isn't protected but the inside area, while it's small, is super comfortable. They are open on Saturday's from 12 until sundown. Will definitely frequent this place often and bring friends!

Can't use real candles because of handmade farmhouse tables that aren't even in the best condition and owner has limited LED or battery operated candles. Guests said alot of the chairs didn't look or feel stable. Owners have their children do parts of setup they aren't capable of doing properly. One of the owners told my dad that the bride had a bad attitude when I had barely even seen or spoken to the man. You have the venue until midnight and the owners starting flashing the lights on and off at 1030 because they were trying to get the bartender to start packing up. They hired the bartender for 5-11 but the reception didn't start til 6 and nothing could be served until security showed up at 630. We paid $1000 for the bar. No heat or AC inside reception building. Propane heaters outside that don't do a whole lot of good. Bridal suite is not practical for bigger bridal parties at all. Owner had supposedly just cleaned bridal suite and it was still very dirty minus clean sheets. Light bulbs were out and toilet paper was not stocked. Bathrooms are located completely across the property from the reception building. Apparently they have a sewer system that sprays close by the bridal suite with no signs not to park there. Owners attended the entire reception and just watched everyone making everyone uncomfortable. Their kids were mingling, running serveillance and telling people what to do. Paid $100 for non alcoholic beverage station and it consisted of arizona sweet tea (in TEXAS!) and great value lemonade. A door apparently was left open and a cat ate what was left of the cheesecakes and some of the cake and trailed cake covered paw prints all over the tables. When I visited the venue the pond in the background was green and she said they would have it cleared up by my wedding. It was still the same. The venue is gorgeous but it's not quite functional for big medium sized weddings. It's not great for the winter and I imagine it's not any better during summer either. If it had owners that knew more about the culture where they are located now and weren't so uptight and rude, it wouldn't be a bad place. It needs some work and is definitely not worth the money.

I'm told they lost all their money in that deal. Making Bella Vista happen for them was a three month money and planning scramble for a young couple that lacked the financial resources to make up for the loss. Luckily, by delaying their event by just one day on the same weekend, they came out the true winners. I'll leave the details at that because I had no involvement in the wedding arrangements other than showing up and enjoying this couple's special day and happy occasion. But I will say this. If you're looking for a scenic wedding or meeting venue with a gorgeous overlook of Lake Palestine, ample parking, and a very genial staff, look no further than Bella Vista. They make lifetime memories at Bella Vista, yours included. They keep their word, honor their commitments, and won't leave you rode hard and put up wet.
