We took out trees and plants and wanted to pour concrete in replacement to have more space. After speaking with many concrete pourers and pavers, Victor was very prompt and responsive which I appreciated. He was able to come over right away and give us a quote. Not only did he give us a quote but he hung around to give us an explanation of options and advice. One of the best things about Victor is that he has all of his own equipment. He has his own pour truck and all the equipment he needs so that he does not need to rent out or hurt other subcontractors. The job is completely done by him and his crew. We decided to go with Victor and scheduled for the following few days. Victor and his crew showed up on time (which I feel like is very rare with contractors) and was very respectful and got to work right away. Started by digging the dirt out (which was pretty rock solid) and created the area to pour cement. They took their time and made sure the grading was proper and rebates looked good. They made sure to include us to explain what they were doing. They capped off some sprinklers for us as well. The next day, they came to pour the cement and design it with texture and stamping it. They cleaned up very well and did an excellent job! We're very impressed and so happy with the result. We would hands down recommend Victor and his crew for any cement job. He has been doing this since 99! I liked that he had all of his own equipment so we didn't have to have subcontractors and wait for them on top of doing this. During the year since the concrete work was completed, I've watched small cracks develop in the concrete and thought, OK, maybe one or two in a large pad is to be expected but after a year, I have so many cracks that I need to hire another company to coat the dyed concrete(was dyed so it wouldn't need coating) before the rains start- so water doesn't seep below the concrete and make the problem worse (replacing the patio is not going to happen). Victor chose the concrete supplier, the thickness of the concrete, and told me the rebar was not required- I now regret that rebar was not installed- could have stopped much of the cracking. I checked concrete patio in my neighbor's yard- almost no cracks-they used rebar and the preexisting patio in my yard has one crack after 50+ years. Have lowered my rating of Yepez Concrete Pumping from 5 stars to 2 stars. Didn't go lower because I assume some of the responsibility about the rebar choice. read more
