She is suffering a serious spontaneous brain bleed. A neighbor recommended I call this practice and ask to have it filled through their dispensary or for guidance on where to purchase it. The woman who answered the phone said I would have to make an appointment first. Okay. I understand. It would be easy to coordinate with my vet if they do not want to sell directly to me. But clearly they don't work with other practices. However, even if I had the money to spend (in addition to thousands spent this week on an MRI and emergency care), I don't have time to wait on an appointment. I also live an hour away and don't want to put her through the stress of another car trip. But then I asked for suggestions on other outlets since I was having difficulty finding it online. One would think this practice would be expert on sourcing alternative medicine in the DVM or online and happy to give guidance when they are unable to help. One would think a receptionist would take a message and pass it to one of the nursing assistants or vets. Nope. She literally told me to google it. Legitimate businesses are often happy to offer some guidance in a serious situation when they are unable or unwilling to directly provide a service or product. That is, unless money is their only concern.

When we had our initial consultation, it was definitely an elongated process; I really believed that there could have been more listening, as we felt that we were sitting in a lecture. With herbals, it's a trial-and-error type of situation, in which the combinations administered can constantly change, based on the response. Unfortunately, we felt that the medicine did not have any positive impact, and the follow-ups felt rushed and confusing. I think this place seems to be more for fur babies who are already in good health and whose owners want to explore additional services, just for the sake of it. It's nice to see other clients have had more positive experiences, but ours was super disappointing. Plenty of parking available. +plenty of parking available

Dr. Beth has the knowledge to help you understand what is happening, the compassion to guide you through it, and the kindness to come out to our place at some inconvenience to herself (last minute, outside regular hours, etc). I loved that she gave us special family time with our girl as we went through the steps of the at home euthanasia. I loved that she said some words of gratitude for her as she passed, almost like a mini memorial service. It was painful, it is painful, but I don't think I could have asked for a better person to lead us through an extremely difficult decision. I see sad photos of animals here. Support for Injury Recovery…read more I see Shari monthly for Healing Touch sessions, which helps keep me grounded and supports me in multiple ways on my wellness and self care journey. What I have also come to realize is that Shari is a great resource after experiencing a trauma to support recovery. I had recently slipped on the steps at home and hit my back pretty soundly. Though I iced it and did other things to mitigate pain, the next day it was still quite uncomfortable. I gave Shari a call and was able to see her that afternoon. After her treatment my back felt so much calmer. And over the next few days I only experienced mild tenderness as my back continued to heal. I was amazed at how quickly I was back to feeling myself again. Thank you, Shari, for your healing touch!

At that point we opted to stop all pharmaceuticals (Apoquel, ProHeart 12) especially after learning they can cause seizures. Going forward we will get titers testing done before doing any further vaccinations. We looked around Boise for a holistic vet practiced in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) so we could holistically heal Hanno and thought we'd found one. The results were less than impressive and we are still waiting to hear back from them a week later! I remembered that Rebecca L G Verna is a Holistic Vet and I contacted her. This morning, she spent an hour and fifteen minutes on the facetime call with my wife and me. She asked a TON of questions and even looked at Hanno over the video. Her knowledge is impressive and I felt like she was really invested in his well-being. She gave Hanno more attention on the facetime call than the local "TCVM" vet did in person. Not an exaggeration at all. Going forward, our go to vet is Dr. Becky Verna at Paws for Holistic Pet Care and we will use the local vet to run the labs and do the 'hands on' things we cannot do over the phone. You want a vet who will lean forward into the care of your doggie, I highly recommend Rebecca L G Verna. Thank you Becky!
