My review is based upon a situation that occurred when my g/f took our dog to get blood work for an appointment in the future for a spay.
Earlier in the week the staff called me 2 times to get our pups records. I told this to my g/f and she shook her head. She stated they had this information already. The kick in the butt for me was "I " never called for this appt. it was my girlfriend. They hassled her me.
So the day came to get blood work, our pup fasted overnight for her blood test. My gf goes to the appt and she is told the did not have records on the pup. We knew we needed to give them the rabies records but we had given them everything else in the past. They continued to bully my gf about the records. My gf saw them in the file and pointed it out to the staff. A very " pleasant" staff member said "well, they're not in the system."
Wow, is that really our fault?
They then proceeded to tell her that they would not do our dog's spay due to the fact that a non-licensed veterinary worker gave the pup her shots.
Well, my friends, my gf has been a RN for close to 25 years and holds a Master's degree. While in school for nursing, earlier in her career she worked as a vet tech for 2 years. I believe she is more than qualified to give our dogs shots. Evidently this office thinks the worst of people. No consideration at all. They've told me that with all of her experience she's not qualified to give our dog a shot. Really? I do trust her more then most, especially seeing how incompetent the staff was with the phone calls, our pups file and the fact that on my other dog, the vet wanted to give him a total of 6 distemper shots. That's unheard of. We researched and spoke to other professionals and never heard of such a thing. We agreed to let the vet give him the first, my gf did the rest. We went in for a check up and allowed the vet to talk us into the 5th but we voiced our concern. We were taken back that the vet asked us to come back in a month and get one more. Wow!
Now here's the kick in the pants: we gave most all of our shots to our first dog, we scheduled him for a neutering, not one thing said about this policy. So am I to think that there is malpractice on my first dog? What could happen to him in the future? Why wasn't the staff upfront with us and cognizant of her records? They had then the whole time. Why did a vet not review our pups chart before we schedule and then arrived for an appointment?
I called in to speak to the office manager Barb about this situation. She was rude, did not answer my questions and would continually speak over top of me. I asked a question specifically to her and she answered with another answer totally unrelated to what I was asking about. She wanted to get me off the phone so fast that she didn't even bother to listen to me. She was also very quick to state there were other vets out there.????
Really, you don't want to fix the problem you just decide that me and my gf's dogs are not worthy of your business?
Well you did lose our dogs and our business.
We will not suggest or use your services in the future if this is how you treat your customers.
I would like for anyone that reads this to pass this onto friends and family. Maybe you know someone who breeds dogs and gives them shits themselves. Maybe it's your pup. Maybe it's your time . Whatever it is do not use this business or these vets! It seems the will blacklist you and hold a grudge against you if you do not allow them to make money from you.
Most people know they can go to Tractor Supply and pick up the meds needed for your dog. They even have clinics so your pet can get vaccinated at a discount price.
Had the staff been nice and welcoming we would not have left but the way they treated my gf and our pup I have no other recourse than to leave that office behind and I had to tell this story! read more
