I went to this location with the intention to buy a firearm women with black hair, long pink nails and has tattoos attended me. Her customer service energy was awful I would ask her question she would respond with just one word her nails were to long to even un clip the safety button and I asked her does she need my passport ID or California ID and she responded where in California we need California ID with such an awful tone small things like that made me go elsewhere please manager or store owner fix her before yall loose more potential clients like myself read more

Supposed to be open at 9:00 am on Sunday. 9:10 and still waiting for manager to come and workers say they come from outside of the valley so they don't get here on time. maybe they need to reevaluate what time they leave Their house. Located in slowly reviving, mid 20th century architectural Old Town Indio, very close to excellent family owned northern Mexican restaurant, Casa de Silvia, Yellow Mart is another locally owned emporium. I like buyIng locally since the money has more of a chance to do more good by circulating in the community where the money originated. BuyIng onlIne has the money going out which impoverishes the very community where one resides. We entered late Sunday morning when we were greeted immediately by a saleswoman who asked me what I needed. She personally lead me to two areas that had a similar product but of different quality so of course higher & lower prices. Nice of her to show me the different options. She asked if I wanted to shop further and told me she would hold the item that I had chosen in front. While wandering around to check out more of the store a young salesman came by to see if I needed help. Yellow Mart has a nice small town feel. 4 stars. read more

I don't even know where to start...So much gratitude and respect for the store, the workers, it's history (schooled real quick by B) and the positive vibes n love they showed my family and myself. I'm an ER Trauma RN in Long Beach and tired of the mandatory mask BS. If you want to wear one even if you're not sick, go ahead, but I agree with Mark and the store that it shouldn't be mandatory...What should be Mando' is common courtesy and teaching kids and all ages to be respectful and considerate. So to all of you giving 1 star for that reason...very unfair to the consumer pop and store because it's such an amazing place! They have it all! When I say all...let's just say they even have ammo...and that's gold in this day and age! If you need fishing gear, hunting or camping it's there! Shit...I even saw scrubs n school gear! It's insane! All I can advise is to go in there with positive vibes and don't be a douchebag...Good Karma n Lady Luck was with me as Mark and B hooked me up with Ammo and everything I needed to take my kids shooting for their first time. I purchased a Jersey from Yellowmart as soon I received my order It was too small to go over my head, I contacted them to the same night for exchange for bigger size. I've fighting with this lady name Linda she wanted me to send pictures of the measurements with a ruler or measuring tape of the jersey they send me. I've been taking pictures everyday and emailing it to them nonstop, and she refuses to accept the picture she wants more pictures and refusing to refund my money. her response not good enough don't care about reviews don't care about loosing one customer if I am bored and tired of fighting with them I can quit. I emailed them the same day they processed the order to change the size because they do not give in/cm description nor any adequate description for proper size guidelines so was not sure how to order something they claim as menswear for a young woman. They did not get back to me purposely through email until nearly a month later when they knew the jacket would be here and require pictures of items to exchange or return and try to use sanitation as an excuse to not exchange even though multiple reviews say they didn't care about that during the worst of covid. They claim that you must make exchange requests 6 hours after ordering but because I requested the exchange the same day it was processed but less than 4 hours over the 6 hour mark of ordering they are refusing to exchange. I've never heard such nonsense and understand why they are called scammers when you Google them and have multiple 1 stars, they deserve a zero. Will never order again even though they're trying to offer 10-15% off to order another. As if. There are proper ways to conduct business and they are very poor at it. read more

I took my son to yellow Mart last week to purchase fishing gear. We usually go to Walmart to buy our gear. I was very impressed with the Service of a young man who's name Unfortunately, I can't recall. My Son and I received all three important qualities that I look for when reviewing a business or service. Professionalism, Patience and a People's first attitude. With everything's that's been seen and read about (bad service and anxious frustrated people) on both sides of the retail industry sector during the pandemic. It was refreshing and welcoming to recieve top notch service from an employee that demonstrated great product knowledge and provided an exemplary friendly attitude. He helped my Son with suggesting just the right equipment upgrade to his fishing gear and bait ideas that greatly improved his "Catch per unit effort" My Son; needless to say, was stoked! Gave them a 1 star because there is not a zero. I purchased a MLB jersey which they never shipped to me. Then when I tried to contact their customer service, I only received a response one time regarding the status of my purchase out of 7 attempted contacts through email. I also tried to call their customer service number and they did not answer every time, but on the occasions they did, the call dropped (or they hung up) and I could not get them back on the phone a second time. I have had to dispute the charge through my credit card since they won't respond. I do not recommend using them. Walked into Yellow Mart only to find a long line at the counter that sells ammunition, 9 people in line not one wearing a mask. Turned to the young lady at the cash register, no shield on the counter and not wearing a mask. When pointing out the problem she just shrugged her shoulders and I was notified that there always is a line. I called earlier this week looking for the Benjamin 392 .22 cal pellet gun. The guy said they had it for $200. I looked it up and found it online for $145 (including shipping). I called back and said that I would rather give my money to a local business and asked if they would go down any on the price. The guy got pissy, said "do what you got to do" and didn't make a sale that day. I wasn't looking for them to match the online price, but wanted some flexibility when they are at the highest price point for the item. I understand they have to eat, but so do I. I make a principled decision to buy local as often as I can and I expect to pay a little more, but a $55 difference and a rude clerk equals no deal for me. To survive in a market place with Walmart and Amazon, customer service is more important than ever. The personal interaction is the one thing you have to offer that they don't. In the end, I received my pellet gun in the mail today and I may not go back to Yellowmart again (a longtime customer). read more

I love Yellow Mart. I remember working there while I was in High School in the seventies. Most everyone from back then is gone now, but Yellow Mart is still the best place in the valley for western wear, jeans, hats and boots. Lots of variety and a friendly, helpful staff. I had not been there in a very long time (moved out of the area), but when I moved back into town, it was the only place to go for sports equipment and jeans. In a day and age where so much is moving to the sterile environment of the World Wide Web, it's great to see that stores like this are still there and bringing a friendly human touch to the shopping experience. read more
