Got a windshield fracture from a rock while driving to Portland. I thought it looked too big to repair. Went to Yellow Dot the same day and luckily there was no wait. The fracture was repairable and was done in 45 minutes. I thought the cost was very reasonable. The fracture is still slightly visible but is not a safety issue. Steve was very helpful. Rock chip happened earlier this afternoon. Called Yellow Dot for a rock chip repair and they were able to get me in within an hour of it happening. The chip was fixed within 30 minutes and costed well under $100. They even added thicker filler for my chip because I have a 12" subwoofer. Worth a stop as the owner does great work. Had him do a rock repair on my BMW and Porsche, you couldn't tell the windshield had any repair or chip at all. I just stopped by recently and he took care of a couple spots on my daily driver, once again impeccable work. The portable shop is at the Vancouver Mall and currently does not open till 11am. Check with the owner if you're on a tight schedule or need appointment but do see him before replacing your glass. read more

I purchased a new used vehicle that came complete with a small handful of rock chips in the windshield, one of them pretty nasty and right in the passneger's line of sight. I gave Steve a call and set up a same-day appointment at his new shop (no longer at the mall). He checked out the chips and said something along the lines of, "easy." His confidence made me feel at ease and so I agreed to his very reasonable price and left him the car for a bit. When I went back to pick it up, I could hardly find the chips! The big one in the passenger's line of site can be seen in the sun if you look for it, but I'm very happy with the results. Especially since the dealer wanted $2K(!!!) for a windshield replacement... something about "rain sensing wipers," I don't know. Bottom Line: If you need your windshield repaired, contact Steve.
