Got a windshield fracture from a rock while driving to Portland. I thought it looked too big to repair. Went to Yellow Dot the same day and luckily there was no wait. The fracture was repairable and was done in 45 minutes. I thought the cost was very reasonable. The fracture is still slightly visible but is not a safety issue. Steve was very helpful. I called Yellow Dot for an emergency 9 inch crack repair. I shared some pictures of the crack and made an appointment. The day before I was to bring in the car it was supposed to rain. He messaged me to let me know if I could cover it up would help the repair time. Which was totally awesome! I had no idea about these things, it really meant a lot for Steve to do this. Worth a stop as the owner does great work. Had him do a rock repair on my BMW and Porsche, you couldn't tell the windshield had any repair or chip at all. I just stopped by recently and he took care of a couple spots on my daily driver, once again impeccable work. The portable shop is at the Vancouver Mall and currently does not open till 11am. I purchased a new used vehicle that came complete with a small handful of rock chips in the windshield, one of them pretty nasty and right in the passneger's line of sight. I gave Steve a call and set up a same-day appointment at his new shop (no longer at the mall). He checked out the chips and said something along the lines of, "easy." His confidence made me feel at ease and so I agreed to his very reasonable price and left him the car for a bit. When I went back to pick it up, I could hardly find the chips! The big one in the passenger's line of site can be seen in the sun if you look for it, but I'm very happy with the results. Especially since the dealer wanted $2K(!!!) for a windshield replacement... something about "rain sensing wipers," I don't know. Bottom Line: If you need your windshield repaired, contact Steve. He's a nice guy, does great work, and has very reasonable prices. What more do you want? read more
