Awesome sandwich shop in Lawrence. Don't be put off by the ugly exterior -- this place is great. They make all their own bread, which is lightly toasted and almost melts in your mouth. They also have great selection and DELICIOUS shakes. The food is all prepared fresh, so you will have to wait a little, but it's worth it. TIP: Order ahead to avoid waiting for your food. read more

The waffle was still delicious, nonetheless! The chicken portions were enormous and could have easily made two meals. Per my usual M.O. though, I was a glutton and ate the whole thing - haha! The sauce/seasoning wasn't exactly like other Nashville hot chicken I've had, but it still had a great flavor, and the jalapeños gave it an extra kick that pushed it right to the edge of my spiciness threshold. Good thing I had that delicious iced tea to wash it all down! All in all, I had a great experience, and this will definitely be in my Lawrence takeout rotation. Probably the worst turkey I have ever received from a BBQ restaurant - basically inedible. * ribs: multiple days old - old and dry - old ribs have a different texture than fresh smoked ribs. Suggestion - please do not slice meats until the customer orders the meat (except burnt ends).
