Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and you could tell they actually enjoyed being there, which makes such a difference. Nobody made me feel rushed or talked down to, and as a truck girl... trust me, that matters. Caleb absolutely understood the assignment with my Tundra. He took care of my girl like she was royalty, explained everything clearly, and somehow made buying tires feel exciting. They found a spike in the (nearly brand-new) tire and quoted me $150 for a new tire. I asked if they could patch it. They said size and placement of the spike made them unable to. I had them put the tire back on as-is, and took it to Mike. It was 15 minutes to close, and he still happily took a look at the tire. There was a spike, but his technicians said not only could they patch it, it was a standard, easy patch. I walked out 25 minutes later (his staff happily working past closing time) having only paid $10 for the patch. Every encounter I've had with Kress Tire has been pleasant, quick, and cheaper than elsewhere, with superior service. I heartily recommend them. Edited 10/2015 - Over a year later, and that same tire is still rolling. So glad I didn't get suckered into buying a brand new tire from North Hills Toyota.

I came for an oil change and left both times in a GOOD MOOD (who can say that?!) - timely, friendly, knowledgeable, NO BULL$H*T (or cranky tax for competitive prices.) I also had a reoccurring noise and the manager (Jason?) took a shot at it - he won when everyone else failed and wouldn't give me the time of day! The first thing that Glenshaw Auto did was to have a tech get in my car and drive around the neighborhood so that I could explain the issue. This didn't give any conclusive answers, but was something I thought was a smart thing to do on their part. I left my vehicle there, and within a couple of hours, their service rep (Matt) called to ask if he could email some documents (an auto-shop emailing me?! wow). The documents he sent were schematics of my car's suspension (the problem area). He then spent the next 15 minutes walking me through exactly what was wrong with the car and exactly what the other shop had not fixed properly. I gave them the go-ahead to do the work. Upon picking up the car, Matt asked that I text him to let him know if it seems that the issue was completely fixed after my drive home. He also let me know that I'd be receiving a follow-up call from them in 2 weeks to check that everything is still in order. What?! A follow-up call from a mechanic? I've never heard of such a thing. There were also a couple of things that he said they noticed on my vehicle that were not critical and didn't need to be addressed now (nice that I felt no pressure to make those fixes on the spot). He said that he would email me a quote on those other items in the next day. There's something that I really like about being emailed and/or texted as opposed to a phone call all the time. As far as price goes, it seems right inline with previous shops. I certainly did not feel that it was excessive, and they did fix the problem that the original shop could not properly do twice. I had also asked them to check a slow leak that I had on a tire. They removed and reseated the tire and charged me....nothing for it. It's not as if they forgot to charge me, it was right there on the invoice as $0. Other observations, very clean waiting room / reception area. Very friendly staff all-around. I'd certainly recommend these guys to anyone.

Unfortunately the tire tech left grease stains on the steering wheel, driver's seat, and interior driver's door, presumably when he drove my car in and out of the service bay. Despite this I will probably continue to visit this location because I they offer 50% off oil changes for healthcare workers on Wednesdays. UPDATE: I am updating my review to two stars. The tire technician did not use a torque wrench, so when I later went to a mechanic for maintenance, the mechanic had to use eight feet of pipe to remove the lug nuts. This (unsurprisingly) destroyed the lug nuts and I had to front the replacement cost. Brad keeps two stars because he refunded me for the services I received at this locations. I will also be contacting pep boys in an effort to be reimbursed for the cost of the new lug nuts.
