I only came in for a pick up order. Just have to say, online ordering was a breeze! I googled it and the website is easy and quick to navigate through. I wanted to order more than just a pizza, but decided against it, for the prices. Pizza and pasta isn't something I love to spend much on, it feels so relative and repetitive. The pizza was great. Like I said, pizza is all relative, but what stood out was the crust. We purchased a Hawaiian pizza w regular crust. This crust was unique because it was sturdy at the bottom, it was not messy and falling apart, if that's the style you prefer, you'll have to, go to your local Pizza Hut or dominoes. I won't say the crust was delicious, but the texture was what a pizza should be. I also wish there was just a tad more sauce, I think that would've made all the difference. I love that they did not skimp on the pineapple nor was it any small cheap pineapple, it was good chunks and juicy tender bites. I would recommend this pizza to any passersby, like me tonight. The best thing about this place is the service. They talk to you like you're a regular and make you feel really comfortable which sounds weird but I don't know how else to put it. It's like going over to a friend's for dinner maybe? I wasn't hungry enough for pizza although the ones my friends got looked delicious. I got the garlic chicken wings and I was super happy with my choice. I felt bad for my friends, but I'd still order them again next time I go and they can just deal with my garlic breath. You know what? They have this sauce. It's AMAZING. I was not expecting their "taco sauce" to be so bomb lol. My very picky eater buddy was also very impressed as was the rest of us. I can't explain it. You just have to go and try it out. You know what else was really nice that's kind of random for a pizza joint? They have a small, clean bathroom that kinda feels like you're at someone's house. Yeah, maybe it felt that way cuz the service felt kind of neighborly lol. Anyways, I plan to go back next time I'm in Hermiston.....even if it's just to buy a huge jar of that taco sauce..it's that yummy. the first person we saw was rude so we decided to go upstairs to the bar area. the bartender was wearing pjs but whatever, she was attentive. the food was way below subpar. we ordered the twisted pizza and got half a raw salad put on top. too many toppings and the dough was cooked but soggy from the amount of toppings. picked off most of what we could of the over abundance of cilantro (I didn't think they would add the entire plant) and cold carrots but still not edible. not even worth taking the left overs home. read more

So. Bummed. I haven't been in for a couple years and pizza sounded good so placed an order for pickup. The lady read my order back and it was accurate however the pizza I got was wrong (ordered deep dish and this was normal crust). 4 months later I thought I'd try again, now I don't think I will go back. The crust was burnt and so crispy (on a deep dish) that cutting it shattered the crust edges (pieces looked like potato chip thickness, except burnt, so opening the box it smelled burnt and I thought it had been smashed. The crust was very thin when broken and the bottom of the crust split and peeled off like wet cardboard. maybe they changed premade pizza crust dealer?? It was not a thick chewy deep dish crust like the first time I got this pizza here. Ate upstairs. Someone took our order and brought our drinks, but after an hour of sitting in a loud environment our pizza hadn't come. My husband went downstairs to check on it and they handed him a box that had been sitting there for 1/2 hour. Didn't take it out of the box, no apology. When the server showed up to check on our drinks (after an hour) she didn't even comment on the big bulky box on our table. Pizza topping were generous, but crust was not great. I'll start with the Pros. Delicious pizza delicious sauce fresh ingredients and the dough was so soft inside and super light crispy bottoms oh man!!! Was super excited to eat here as it's always been a favorite and we aren't locals but WE WONT BE BACK! The crust was so dry and was like a saltine cracker. I brought it to the attention of the friendly waitress and she gave the "supervisor" the opportunity to speak to me about it and she was completely silent and had nothing to say. Horrible food. Complete waste of money. Spent $40 for a medium peperoni pizza, wings & mozzarella sticks. Before picking up the food, i walked in to seeing the people behind the counter taking food out of the microwave putting it on a plate to serve the customer who was dining in. A medium pepperoni pizza is $17. Not worth it. It was dry, crusty and had been sitting out a while. The wings weren't even touched. They looked uncooked. I tried this place out years ago and it was terrible. But now that it's under new ownership and has such good reviews I thought I would try it again with my family. We came in for the lunch pizza buffet. We were the 1st ones there when it opened and the pizza had already looked like it had been sitting out for at least 2 to 3 hours. What we had was dry and tasteless. There was no flavor in any of the toppings and the sauce was completely bland. I could tell right off the bat that they use very low quality ingredients. Even waited for fresh pizza to come out and had the same problem other than it wasn't as crunchy and dry as the 1st batch. This pizza shop shows very little effort and pride in what day put out for their customers. I went in wanting to give a good review but I cannot in good conscience do that. I love how people write reviews..Especially people who complain about "canned mushrooms". Ye Old Pizza Shop is a gem in Hermston. Every time I go home to see my mother I have to eat lunch and have my "Hermiston Delight" fix Sausage, Mushrooms (canned just to make a point I have tried this combo with fresh mushrooms and its not the same), and black olives. Been my favorite when it was under the original owners when the place was in Hermiston Plaza and its true today. Their crust is crispy on the bottom and layered pillo type on top.. the Sauce complimetns the pie without over powering the taste.. I have eaten pizza all over the world and I have only found one place in Portland and One place in Texas that has anythink like this type of pizza. I had two chances to change my mind, and I'm sorry that I didn't. Spending an afternoon in Hermiston, we wanted to start with lunch. He wanted to eat at El Tapatio, but I said I wanted to try a different type of cuisine. I looked on Yelp for nearby restaurants, and seeing this one, I decided that pizza sounded good. True, some reviews were good, some were bad, but I wanted to give Ye Olde a chance. And I was sure that we would be happy with the family owned eatery. Driving into the parking lot at 2pm on a Thursday, my beau said, "This place looks closed down. Sure you want to eat here?" I encouraged him to drive closer to the door so we could see the hours. Sure enough, they had been open since 11am. We decided to park, making sure to not hit the woman who was sweeping the parking lot. I found myself thinking that it was really nice that the restaurant owners hired someone to sweep their parking lot, who may otherwise not have a job. As we got out of our truck, the woman was walking in our direction so I looked up, smiled, and said hello. She said hello back. For a couple of different reasons, Beau said in a low tone of voice, "You still sure you want to eat here?" I said yes and we walked in. It was completely empty inside, with low lighting and a peculiar set up. We found our way past the salad bar to a table, and the woman in the kitchen very briefly looked up at us. As I smiled, she did not return the pleasantry or provide a greeting, and looked down back to whatever she was doing. I could only find one menu, of which I grabbed so we could both look at it while seated at the table. I then took a closer look at the salad bar to see if I would like to order a trip to the salad bar with my lunch. Unfortunately, the ice berg lettuce was of such poor quality, as evidenced by the only colors in the bowl being white and brown, that I wouldn't have even eaten a salad had it come with my lunch. Once deciding on what we wanted, I went up to the counter by the kitchen to order. The lady said,"Did you finally decide?" After ordering and paying, I decided to write in a 20% tip. I thought that maybe this young woman was having a very bad day, so that might brighten it a bit. No 'thank you' for the tip when she looked at the receipt, which I found slightly off. I sat down and she brought our soft drink to the table, while we began to peruse our newspapers. Ten minutes later our appetizer came out: jalapeño poppers. All was fine and good except... They were brought out to us by the woman who was sweeping the parking lot. I had figured she wasn't a food service employee, judging by a number of characteristics of her appearance, and I at once began thinking to myself that I really hoped she washed her hands prior to touching our plate. She asked if we wanted ranch or marinara (it would have been a nice touch if they brought out a little cup of each), and when we said we would like ranch, she returned with a mostly empty, food service-sized, no-label bottle of ranch. The jalapeño poppers tasted good, no complaints, but then my pizza came out; it was a small cheese pizza. The first thing I noticed was the low quality of cheese used. Picture a slice of cheese pizza: ooey, gooey mozzarella, hugging the sauce and bread, dripping off the sides. This was not that cheese pizza. This pizza not only had about 50% cheddar cheese on it, but the two cheeses were not melty or ooey gooey. The cheese had a solid, smooth look to it. That type of low quality cheese that when it's melted, it's not really melted. When biting into eat, I could only taste crappy cheese and bread. The amount of marinara sauce was barely perceptible. When my pizza was brought out, I figured his burger was right behind it, as the parking lot lady didn't say, "The burger will be here in just a couple of minutes" or anything of the sort. We waited one minute, two minutes; he told me to go ahead and eat, as his burger should be here soon. One slice, two slices, five minutes, ten minutes, now half the pizza is gone. I stop eating. Fifteen minutes rolls by; no one has said anything about the burger to us. I go up to the counter, and after about 30 seconds the parking lot lady walks by. I ask for a box for the rest of my pizza, along with money back for the burger. She says, "I'm sorry" and gives me $9 and some change back (we had paid for bacon on the burger), we boxed up the pizza, and then we left. Driving away, I realized I didn't ask for the money that I tipped back. Dang it! This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in a long while. read more

I was astonished... Absolutely speechless. Where do I even begin. First of all, the place is reminiscent of a 90's biker bar that all the Walmart employees head to after work to listen to George Michael and play video poker. At 1:00 pm, the place was practically empty. The smell of mediocrity and possible disease wreaked trough the whole place. The gentleman was very nice who took our order, however I felt robbed and assaulted by the quality compared to the price. It was freezing cold in the restaurant! The thermostat was set at 56 degrees. I over heard three different customers complain about the cold. I ordered a half taco, half pepperoni pineapple pizza and a soda. The young woman at the register was too quiet for me to understand. The soda was all ice and was seriously watered down. The pizza came out about half hour later, and was terrible. No one cares about how the pizza turns out. It had a good appearance but you cannot judge a book by it's cover. The pizza didn't sit good and it was burnt on the bottom. For 30$ this date night turned out a disaster. Also!
