Great shop. My wife and I have taken our cars here a few times and they have always done a good job, and stood by their work. I had a little rust start showing after a year and a half from a prior repair and they said that shouldn't have happened and made it a priority to fix it as their mistake. This afternoon, my insurance claim got filed for a minor accident on my car. Mike at YD Autobody reached out immediately, let me know when I could come for an appraisal and gave me an idea on when repairs might be scheduled. The damage was minor - so I definitely wanted his opinion. He was available the same afternoon for an appraisal. So I headed over there. Mike was so helpful! He looked at the bumper of my Mercedes and was able to pop the back left section back in place, then and there. Everything looked back to normal, except for a minor ding on the bumper which isn't really that visible. SO - no need for a claim!! He wouldn't charge me anything and saved me a $500 deductible. Right before Christmas I was in an accident and used this place because it was one of Progressives auto body shops and I'm so glad I picked it. The gentlemen I spoke and dealt with were amazing, extremely nice, and I think more helpful than Progressive and Enterprise combined. All I can say is... They are great! Highly recommended! I recently moved south of Boston and my poor Subaru that is not even 6 months old was rear ended on the highway. I took a chance and came here and it was hassle free, professional and super friendly! As my luck goes... A month later someone side swiped the left side of my car in a parking lot!! Total hit and run!! Wtf!! Needless to say my insurance company tried to get me to have my car repaired at a place in Brockton! Really?? Wouldn't you think they would have referred me back to the same place who JUST repaired my car for continuity? Well I told them... I didn't want to go to Brockton and had a GREAT experience with YD Autobody and I wanted to go back to them because they were wonderful and they said it was ok! My insurance company, Liberty Mutual, was just as great as YD Auto! I will also have to mention Enterprise Car Rental because they also played apart in making my life easier through this chaotic time! It's great when three different companies can work together to make things easy for the customer. I do appreciate it. YD Autobody turned a very poor experience with another shop into a great one! First, our Nissan Pathfinder's undercarriage (radiator included) and bumper were damaged when we hit road debris we couldn't avoid. After having the car towed to another shop in Canton that AAA recommended, we spent the next week trying to get a straight answer about our car's status...until that shop told us that they couldn't do the body work, and that we should have it towed to YD. That was great advice! Susan in the office arranged the tow immediately, contacted our insurance, and kept us up-to-date with the car's progress. Not only did Mike give us clear estimates on the time of repair, but he then overdelivered by getting the car to us before a weekend rather than after. The shop did a great detail on the car's interior and exterior -- even cleaning the tires! They also surprised us by taking our Enterprise rental off our hands when we went to pick it up, saving us a trip. Bottom line: if you need a repair within 50 miles of Canton, this should be your first stop! read more

I've had my car serviced there twice. Twice from being rear ended. The 2nd time my auto insurance company decided to give me hell and refused to cooperate with me as if I was at fault. I was involved in an accident in a BMW X5 recently and took it to the concierge service at Travelers (my insurance company). They did the estimate and then gave me a choice of several repair shops. YD was nearby and seemed capable of fixing my car, so I went with them. I am so glad I did. First, they did a tremendous job fixing my car so that it looked brand new. Their repair of my rims was so complete that they look like new tires. Very cool. They also kept me informed through the process, which I appreciated. A week or two went by and I noticed a slight problem when turning the wheel. So, I called Travelers back and said I think we might have missed something in the original estimate. They said no problem and contacted YD to see when I could bring it back in. The YD guys were super flexible and I brought it in later that week. When I got there, I explained why I was there and the very friendly people went and got the actual technician, Jay, who had worked on my car. Jay and I went for a drive and he immediately recognized that there was a problem, brought the car back and put it up on the lift where he found there was a broken CV axle. They offered to fix it and make arrangements for me for a rental car and then took care of everything for me. The Enterprise rent a car driver picked me up and brought me back to their office next, and thanks to the YD guys lining things up for me, I was in and out of Enterprise in about 5 minutes with my rental car. Nice. They ended up fixing my BMW X5 in less than 3 business days, just because they needed to order the part. The repairs are top notch and they also did an amazing wash and interior cleaning of my vehicle. What a great touch! I'd gladly go back there for future auto work, even though I live in Boston. They arranged for a rental replacement, the repair/paint were done well, the car was clean when I picked it up, and I was even helped afterwards in contacting the rental agency re my temporary replacement. I will update this if the status changes. So far this process has been horrendous and I have not experienced the excellent customer service that the previous reviewers have. While they have been prompt in their response time they have not performed as you would expect a reputable business to perform. You would expect that when you pay out of pocket and ask for something to be fixed, that it be fixed. When your insurance company is paying for separate repairs, you would expect the repairs to be done correctly and the finished product to be just that - finished. My car has been out of this shop barely a week and there are paint drips, compound left from the buffing, the clear coat is already chipping off of my brand new hood, my front end is loose and unsecure and a headlight was not clipped back in properly. We have been advised by the shop that they did not replace parts that they removed from my vehicle (such as nuts, bolts and splash guards) nor did they tell me about these parts prior to releasing my vehicle, just let me go thinking everything was fixed, that both my insurance company and I paid for, and I was ready to go. I am disgusted with the "pride" that they place in their work, I can't believe they would let a vehicle leave their shop with their name on it, in this shape. The quality of work is lacking, and I find it very hard to believe that this is the way they want to do business. Honestly, I don't know what recourse I have to get my car fixed properly, I am afraid to take it back to them as I want it done properly. This costs me time and money, as well as a rental car, when my vehicle is out of commission. It's really, really sad that this is what someone has to deal with after an accident when you're already stressed to the max and hoping that your insurance company and auto repair shop with follow through with their promises to take care of you. Update: My insurance company is now paying another body shop and the DEALERSHIP to correct the "repairs" that YD did to my vehicle. They MIXED the coolant (green and orange) in my NEW radiator and replaced my headlight with an aftermarket part (which was very poor quality). I really wish that I would have had a MUCH better experience with this company so I could have written a positive review, but this is my experience and my opinion so proceed with caution. read more

From the moment Susan answered the phone when I first called until I received my repaired Prius, my experience at YD was outstanding. Susan welcomed me warmly and helped me both with knowledge about insurance coverage for a rental and advice about who to rent from. Bob and Mike answered all of my questions thoughtfully and honestly. I was kept updated about the progress being made on my car. When I picked up my car, not only was there no evidence that my car had ever been hit, but it had been thoroughly cleaned both inside and out at no additional charge. they did a pretty good job with my car. I was actually surprised when I got my car back to find some of the scratches on my bumper filled in which wasnt even part of their duties. Seems like they did their best with the low rate insurance contracted them with but my car came back the way I wanted. The car looked fresh from a wash but I'm not a big fan of the tire shine. Very, very nice people at YD Autobody. The kind I'd invite to my cookout. I mean that sincerely. But the shop turns out poor workmanship. I gave them two chances: 1) They "detailed" my 2012 Chevrolet last summer. I use quotation marks because that is what they called it. I call it a sloppy wash, glaze, and wax. The car was covered in minor swirls that I had to hand-buff out myself. The car did not enter the shop that way. They wash a car like they are scrubbing an old skillet- circular motions. I never wash that way: fore and aft only, never a scrub. They made the swirls. They also did not clean around the exterior emblems, they did not remove polishing/glazing residue from around windows, and they did not clean the interior well. Example- there was dust still in places that were easily accessible. 2) insurance repair after the same car was hit this winter. The shop failed to notice paint scraped off the car adjacent to and within 1" of the damage to the bumper cover, which they had to replace due to damage. The damage had tape reside over it, they taped right over the missing paint when they buffed the replaced panel after painting. And the panel has swirls all over it, brand new paint. I had to point out the damage to them and make them fix it; they would have let the car leave that way. In addition I had to point out that the marker light was overhung greatly by the rear quarter and the other side was not like that. I requested they re-visit that repair. I found out later that they had to replace the marker light bracket *after* I complained of the poor body gap. I also found paint build-up from a masked edge around a window a few days later. The car has never before had any masking around a window, this was from YD Autobody. I had to remove it with a steady hand, a razor blade, a microfiber, and two hours worth of polishing by hand. Most people would never notice this sort of thing or maybe even care. People who pay attention to the condition of their cars do. This is not a shop to which you should bring a nice car. if you want bang it together, looks good from here work, by all means give them business. read more
