John and his Team at Ace Auto go above and beyond for their customers! They deserve 10 stars! I brought my Dodge Durango R/T into Ace Auto Body after I was in an accident. Ace wasn't on the insurance company's list of "preferred" shops; the insurance adjuster went as far as trying to talk me into sending my vehicle to another shop but I'm glad I never did!! It is very apparent that John and his Team at Ace Auto work for you, with your best interest in mind and not the insurance company's!! John kept me updated every step of the way while we waited for the insurance company to send out appraisers and rework their reports (he provided me with far more information on the status of my repair claim than my insurance company ever did!) Although my Durango ended up being totaled and Ace Auto didn't complete body work to it, John provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond to help me navigate my insurance claim that involved two insurance companies, 3 appraisers and 2 months of insurance adjusters dragging their feet handling my claim. John guided me to make sure I received a fair valuation of my vehicle, helped me research comps and valuations and helped settle my nerves when the insurance company was trying to strong arm me. He was available by phone, text and email even while on vacation, on a National Holiday and after business hours; you'll never find that with an insurance company's "preferred" body shop!! When it came time to clean out my vehicle and release it to the insurance company, John and Joe helped remove and load all my belongs into the car I was driving. Joe made sure I took my ezpass transponder and carwash pass that I would had totally forgotten. Ace Auto Body takes care of the customer and does not work for the insurance company. My car ended up being a total loss and John walked me through what I should get for the car and how to get it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs!!! They are the most incompetent company I've ever dealt with. I got into an accident and needed a new front bumper, hood, and a few other parts. The paint job was done very well but the car was not put together correctly. My turn signal fell out of it's socket within 2 minutes from leaving the place. They also promised to use OEM parts but did not. I ended up getting the bodywork re-done at another shop. read more

Can not say enough good things about Ace Auto Body! From John (the owner?) who knew exactly what to look for on my car at the accident location to the bearded guy, (painter?) who did an unbelievable job on the paint matching and blending, to the gorgeous girl in the front office who I would expect to be a model rather than in an auto body shop..(family?) but she was very prompt and responsive in regards to the insurance paperwork, and getting the adjuster to actually show up and approve the repairs. Which btw, if you have Plymouth Rock Insurance, good luck! Let me tell you about Ace auto body and the owner John and the experience I had when I brought my Nissan Murano in for body work after being hit by a truck coming out of the Tip O'Neill tunnel in Boston. Ace auto body is a small shop in Stoughton, it was a little bit out of my way but I went there on a recommendation. HANDS DOWN THIS THE BEST AUTO BODY SHOP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!! Over the past 15-20 years I have been unfortunate enough to require the services offered by an auto body shop, and each time my experience had been lousy! Shoddy work, cheap parts and bad paint jobs! Needless to say I was a bit apprehensive when I went to Ace auto body. I met John the owner and a few of his guys, they arranged for a rental car to be there when I needed one, so I left my keys and my car with John. Soon thereafter in fact real soon, something like 3 weeks I got a call telling me my car was done. John explained there was quite a few things that were not on the original estimate, and each time he discovered something wrong with the estimate or a missed part he picked up the phone and called the insurance company, he took care of everything, he dealt with the insurance company who was trying to convince him to use lesser quality parts, but John's a fighter and he wouldn't let them pull any crap when they tried to give me sub par parts, he demanded I receive the right parts not the cheap substitutes.The quality of his work is without question quality! My paint actually matches everywhere (my past experience has been close matches, missing paint in areas where taping was done incorrectly) often it's a shade off but that's not something that John will allow he wants everything right he wants his customers very happy and it shows in the way he deals with the insurance people, in the way he dealt with my claim, in the way he was determined I would be happy. If you ever find your self in need of a really good autobody don't hesitate don't waste your time going somewhere else just go to John and put your car in his hands he'll make sure you are pleased. If I could have given him 10 stars or 15 stars I would have, but YELP only allows five stars for excellent service!!! Trust me- better yet, trust John!! read more

I brought my van over to Ace a few weeks ago for a rear quarter end repair. It was great as John helped me with everything from letting me know who to call (to get the ball rolling for the insurance) and , keeping bbq in touch with me for scheduling a convenient time. It took a few weeks and then he called me letting me know it was set. I even dropped my enterprise rental with them and they made sure enterprise back. The car was a disaster when I brought it in from all the junk from the kids that I could not get cleaned out and they returned it with the interior (detailed) spotless!! It looked brand new. The body was a mess with scratches and scrapes. I would say at least 95 percent were cleaned up / buffed out. This includes a huge white paint blemish neither myself nor a large local Honda dealer body shop could remove from the front passenger door going into the rear slider. I never could imagine the vehicle looking this sharp. The repair itself came out amazing and they fixed my rear driver sliding door in the process that kept sticking when you open it. (So far so good) they were extremely professional and wonderful to work with including showing before, during, and after pictures. If I need a repair I would ABSOLUTELY come here again and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of body work. They know their stuff ! read more

Above and Beyond Expectations My 2013 Mitsubishi Evo X was backed into by a neighbor. Knowing a fellow car enthusiast/Evo owner with an impeccable paint job, I asked him who he had do his work: Ace Auto Body. I am beyond impressed with this shop (John's) knowledge, expertise, and care for their customers' cars as well as the customers themselves. Not only did John expedite getting a tow truck out to me to get my car but he was available any time I needed to get into contact with him. My insurance company quoted $1900 for repairs (I'm noting this due to the end actual total). John was/is very knowledgeable regarding the insurance industry's tactics as well as what some preferred shops do (which is definitely not in the best interest of the customer or their safety and well-being). "I fix the car as if it is my own," John told me. After seeing their work, it is apparent this was the truth. With a total invoice of around $10,200 worth of work, pictures to prove it, a long part list, etc. I can truthfully say I could not have picked a better place to ensure my safety and that my Evo was restored to better than before. If ever I am in this situation again (hopefully not), it will be a no-brainer: Ace Auto Body is the ONLY place I would trust to touch my car again. Excellent job John and team: thank you very much for taking such great care of my car. If you're still reading this and wondering where to go, stop...and go straight to John outstanding service, work, and above all knowing your vehicle will come back better than new. Whew.
