My 20 year son obtained multiple estimates for a broken bumper. We went to Braintree Autobody because it was conveniently located and had been there years ago. When we went to pick up the car they charged $1000 more than the estimate. No additional work was done. we got no satisfaction from the owner. I had to get a new bumper and they were able to help me replace it in no time! They were always friendly and were honest with me. You don't find that everywhere, so this was a gem. I told them my budget and they didn't judge me. I ended up not getting the paint job right now on my new bumper. Since I'm a woman I've been judged up and down by many mechanics. Not here though, very kind and understanding. It was hard the first time I visited I didn't know where to find someone. I found out the office is right next to the gate opening on the right hand side after you enter. They were very communicative with me and informed me they had someone on vacation so expect to hear back from us on this day kind of a thing. Which I appreciated because I've had bad experiences in the past with no communication. Will definitely come back here when needed. read more

I took my car in on Monday, the rear bumper was destroyed and the car scratched by someone who rear ended me at a red light. I didn't have rental car coverage in my insurance so I wondered if they could get the vehicle done by Thursday or Friday so I would only have to take a taxi to work on Thursday night and to come home from work Friday morning. Well I get a text and a call on Wednesday, and they said that my car was all done ??? Ah,,what? They said that the insurance company would pay them directly and since it was not my fault the deductible was waived by the insurance company so I owed nothing, I could just come and pick it up. I was stunned.. They handled everything with the insurance company and made the car look better than even before the accident, and they finished it two days early.... who does that ?? Do not go to this place! I got in an accident about a year ago and had my car brought to this shop. My bumped was replaced and now it is a chipping and peeling off. It is the only part of my car that was replaced and is the only part that is now chipping. Awful read more

With this being said I have had auto body work done at countless auto repair shops all over the south shore. After being referred to braintree auto body from a close friend, MY SEARCH FOR AN HONEST, PROMPT AND FAIRLY PRICED SHOP IS FINNALY OVER!I know I sound over the top writing this but I have never been so elated and satisfied with the service and work performed at a garage before! In all my past experiences dealing with a post accident insurance repair has been that of which nightmares are made of. I was blown away by the fact that bob McNeil and his guys at Braintree Auto body treated my girlfriend and I as if I was one of their own family members. Bob DID IT ALL! He immediately was on the phone with my insurance claim adjuster (handling; in my opinion, THE MOST FRUSTRATING STEP in the repair process). I was almost in disbelief when he got them to pay ALMOST 4X the amount they originally quoted me ! Bob even took the time to explain to the both of us the car insurance claim process and what he has to go through to get his customers a fair deal. I've brought my car to Braintree Auto Body twice. Both times, they have done fabulous work. The gentleman who owns the shop has taken care of everything with my insurance and given me accurate updates as far as costs, damage, etc. When my car dealership screwed him over and sent him a damaged part, he called me up and said he needed to keep the car another few days. While I was able to commute by train, it was a bit frustrating to not have my car. The owner then offered us his rental car for free! It wasn't a BMW, but it got my husband where he needed to go while I used his car. They do good, honest work in a reasonable amount of time. Highly recommend them! read more

Insurance company sent me to this place to get my car repaired after an accident. The car took 2 months to repair when they said it would take a month tops. When I called to ask, they kept telling me parts were still coming in, etc. that part I could tolerate, the thing that makes this place one star is that they didn't even bothering matching the original paint color on my car. Half of my car is the original pearl white and the other half that got repaired is an ugly lackluster cream. read more

I strongly recommend this business. I recently dropped off my 2014 Sienna after rear ending a large truck. Braintree Auto was recommended by by Ins Co and not really having a connection with any other shop, I selected this one. From beginning to end, Gerry was great to work with. He was easy to talk with, stayed in touch along the way, handled all the insurance work and basically did everything he said he would. From start to finish he had my car 8 days. The quality of the work was very good. I am no car expert but I cannot tell a difference from the original car to where he had to do repair work.
