I attended a Paint Nite at El Torito in Long Beach and Stacy was our instructor, it was a blast! She was awesome, had a great sense of humor and was just super delightful; she kept everything fun and light hearted. I'm no where near being Picasso but she made us all feel like we were wonderful artists. It was my first time and it definitely won't be my last! I can't wait to attend another event.

Have done 3 Paint Nite events including this weekend. All have been slightly different but overall wonderful and fun. The 1st event was in Long Beach at BO-beau kitchen + roof tap. For this one the location was great and the instructor was awesome. He was very attentive and extremely detailed with his instructions. He took his time and made sure to pay attention to each and ever attendant. Great 1st impression of Paint Nite! The 2nd event was at a Mimi's Cafe in Long Beach. This one the location was ok. Still fun and location was great because we had a private area in restaurant. The instructor was good but not as detailed as the one from 1st event. She did make her rounds and was attentive to everyone but I wish she would've been more detailed with her instructions. I'm not for guessing how to achieve a certain look. I will say if I asked she would help me achieve what I wanted but I didn't have to ask very much 1st time. The 3rd event was at Settebello in Newport Beach. Spectacular location, across from the ocean. While not in a private area, the set-up was beautiful in the back area of the restaurant. The instructor was great! Very attentive and detailed. Overall, 5 stars because each time we have had a great time. Highly recommend everyone try a Paint Nite event. Be sure to visit their sight in advance and see which painting you prefer. Also, if you use Groupon, it's super easy. Buy Groupon and then go to Paint Nite website, select event and number of tix and at checkout enter code from Groupon purchase. Easy!

I highly recommend coming here instead of a chain because they have great selection of ceramics, paint, and music! It's such a vibe. Go grab a matcha next door at Vivot Cafe and paint your life away! I swear I was painting for 4 hours and they didn't mind as long as I finished my piece. I was very grateful to have the time to complete my birthday plate. The studio fee is $11 along with any ceramic you choose (price varies) and they also have a stamp card! On your 7th visit, you get the studio fee waved. It's great to know they appreciate those who come back! And I know I will definitely be coming back soon! Also, they do take reservations so that is very helpful as well. Overall 10/10 experience.

It does get really busy,…read moreso a reservation (or at least calling ahead to see if they can hold seats on the day of) is pretty much a must. The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. With its central location in downtown Brea, it's such a perfect spot to catch up with friends, celebrate a birthday, or have a cute date!

This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.

They couldn't find it under either. Jennifer, the owner messaged me on the side and offered studio credit for when we come back to glaze. I appreciate that offer since my bf and I had to and have to coordinate this date to come to the studio. I live around half an hour away and he lives over an hour away, which made it that much more disappointing when we drove all the ways last time only to be told it was lost. I messaged and asked to see if it was possible to have our pottery ready this time for when we came to glaze to prevent further mishap. They were kind and had our pottery ready for when we head back. I was happy with how our pottery turned out. It was with the red clay so it looked tan. Ashley helped us with the glazing. She gave us tips and instructions. They have a ton of different colors. They have a color section that's easier to work well and good with designs. There's also another set of colors that have some details and undertones. I picked four colors and hoped for the best. It's interesting because the more special glaze are all shades of gray, even when you paint it on. It's really is trusting the process. They put our pottery on the rack and told us it would be ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping the pick up this time goes better! This glazing experience went well and I appreciate, Jennifer, the owner, reaching out personally and offering the studio credit.
