It was disappointing to see the roti on top of the bones chicken and watered down gravy. It was not wrapped neither. I ate the roti 4 hrs after I bought it so the flavours could come together. I know the city of London is filled with people that don't look like you or me, if your gonna sell a roti at least sell It with the options with or with out bone.

I love Carribean food!…read more Atmosphere: Tucked away in the plaza, this place has both a restaurant sit-down area, as well as a take-out area. We decided to go for take-out, but peeking into the restaurant area seemed quite cozy. Service: Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Food & Price: Oh my goodness. This place lived up to the hype from the reviews! We ordered both the large jerk chicken (12.99) and the large curry goat (13.99) as well as a side of beef patty (2.50). Personal favourite was the jerk chicken. It is spicy and delicious. The chicken was soft and flavorful, the rice was nicely covered with sauce, and the macaronis and coleslaw balanced the flavors out. The curry goat was also yummy. Personally am not too big of a fan for gamey meats, but my bf enjoyed it thoroughly. Finally, the beef patty was delicious as well. My bf had recently visited Jamaica and he believed that this was probably one of the most authentic places he could find in London that replicated the patties he had overseas. Overall: For the price, the size and the deliciousness of the foods, I recommend you give this place a try!

They have a television and it's clean. The owners give it a Jamaican feel and vibe. I believe it's a couple that owns it. The man working the counter was pleasant. The food comes out hot and promptly. So no issues with service. However, the prices inside and online don't match. I need an updated menu to make sure that I am paying the correct price. As far as the food it was decent. I really liked some items and others were just ok. The Jerk Shrimp is a winner. The shrimp are seasoned with some love. The flavor is amazing with the sauce and the vegetables are delicious. 4 STARS The cabbage is lacking in taste. I expected it to be more flavorful. It could have been a bit softer too. 2 STARS The oxtails were tender, but again lacked in flavor and seasoning. 3 STARS The rice was cooked perfectly. 4 STARS The plantains weren't good. Something was missing. I was disappointed with them. 2 STARS The portion size is good for the price. I felt they gave me a fair amount of food. It's hard for me to rate them. I love supporting small businesses. However, I have definitely had better Jamaican food in the USA. I also have been to Jamaica and loved the food. I would definitely recommend the Jerk Shrimp. I would return for this and the rice only. Overall I would give it a 3.5 STARS. It was cool to try a new place while visiting home. I always enjoy having a new experience. I'm not brave enough to try the cow foot on the menu. I do wish them success.

Caribbean Authentic Cuisine restaurant is a cozy cafe with a cool Afro-Caribbean aesthetic…read more On my visit I did not see anyone dining in, however, there are several tables for patrons to do so. I visited to experience the cuisine, which I haven't had much of admittedly. However, after reading several reviews I was led to try it. There was a large order ahead of me, and since there is only one gentleman, the owner, preparing the food, I was there for over an hour waiting for my carryout. I definitely can't stress enough how important it is to order ahead. The menu is small but mighty. It consists of jerk chicken, curry chicken, oxtails, curry goat red snapper, salmon, and Rasta Pasta for the mains. Side dishes include yams, rice & peas, cabbage, plantain and other items. He also sells juices and Jamaican beef patties. Now admittedly, I'm a lightweight when it comes to spices, particularly heat. I don't care for hot spices this is why I shied away from eating Caribbean food. *haha* I ordered the pasta thinking I would be avoiding the curry and the jerk seasonings. But being unfamiliar with the dish, I was wrong. The dish was full of flavor and very spicy. If you like that sort of thing, I am sure you will enjoy it as it had a deep flavor as if it was stewed overnight. The pasta comes with chicken, which was very tender and juicy. I also had a beef patty. The crust was flaky and delicious, as was the beef filling. Before I left, I shared with the owner that I had planned to leave a review on Yelp. He shared with me a letter that he had received from Yelp congratulating him on his driving business. He is humble, with a great spirit. I enjoyed him. I highly recommend Caribbean Authentic Cuisine. Whether you're familiar with the cuisine or you're looking to try something new, this is a great choice.

It doesn't need Drake to make a music video to drum up hype, the food is hype enough. My favourite is the goat curry (roti and meal) - tender chunks of goat, saucy curry with chickpeas in the right level of spice. The roti has many thin layers making it bouncy and the perfect medium to sop up the curry. Hands down one of the best rice and peas I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Gravy is perfection. The jerk is reminiscent of a Jamaican jerk, but better (not as sweet, low-med spice level). Chicken roti is a standard staple that fills you up. Portion sizes are healthy (you might want to share...but you should really get your own). Everyone needs to try it out!
