Small tom yum soup with shrimp.
    Alexander W.

I went here with my parents at around 8:30; the restaurant was completely empty other than a second table that came in a little after us. Vegetarian cold rolls were very large and very tasty. The tom yum shrimp soup was also delicious--not super spicy, but still had some heat to it, and the shrimp were fully peeled, which I always appreciate. The vegetable rice noodle house had a very large portion size; my parents shared it and were satisfied. Overall, food was very good and service was fast. Definitely an enjoyable experience. (However, some of the menus are outdated, including prices--these menus are red, while the up to date ones are more yellow.)

The hotel I'm staying in doesn't have a restaurant. Nearby are Swiss Chalet and Pizza Hut. The woman at Reception recommended the Rice and Noodle Restaurant, about a five minute walk away. She actually raved about it. I love Thai food so I had to check it out for supper! There is a lot of choice on the menu. Without being asked, my server said that the Pad Thai and Cashew Chicken were the most popular dishes. I love Pad Thai so that's what I ordered with chicken It looked and tasted bland. Any Pad Thai I've has had a reddish sauce and a bit of a kick. On the plus side, it was filling and my server was very attentive.

    My delicious Wonton Soup!

I had been here before years ago when I used to work in Chatham, so when I was visiting today to meet up with my mother who lives in Windsor, and my sister who lives in Harrow, I made this suggestion based on previous experience. This place was phenomenal! We walked in and waited a moment to be seated, and then as soon as we sat down our server brought us water as we reviewed the menus. It was their lunch menu from 11:30am-3pm and the price was just right!! I had the Chicken Pad Thai, which came with a spring roll and wonton soup! Everything was so delicious and our server Lindsay was so attentive, which was awesome because it was starting to get busy and she had a lot of tables to hold up, but didn't miss a beat and handled everything with a smile and she was so friendly! I am definitely coming back here again, but this time for dinner so I can see what that menu has to offer!

    Soup was decent

A little more pricey than average, however the food is definitely worth it! Cozy and intimate while eating in.

Consistently good food and friendly service. Try the ginger fried rice. Not greasy like so many, and tasty.

One word. No heat. If you don't mind wearing a coat while you dine , the food is very good.

Love this place, the staff is great! Finally some variety in Chatham. I highly recommend the Brian Pad Thai and a Ashi (Japanese beer).

The spicy basil chicken is fantastic. If you like spicy, this is the place for you. Their exquisitely layered seasonings ring true.

I'm surprised I'm the first to review here! I am staying Chatham for a few days because my mom had…read morehip replacement surgery done, and I'm staying here while she recovers. While we were sitting with her and discussing dinner plans, the student nurse who was with her recommended this place. She had said it was a Chatham staple and everyone knows it. I had seen many awesome reviews on Facebook and Google, but nothing here, not even a photo. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Thursday evening, and we were greeted right away and told we can sit wherever we wanted. We took a booth near the front, the place wasn't that full at the time we arrived. We were handed menus and our drink our was taken. They have a Chinese menu, and a Canadian menu, but we opted for Chinese cuisine that night. You can order the standard items separately, or they have a combination platter you can get that comes with wonton soup, and egg roll and desert. I ordered the combo platter with the sweet and sour pork, and my sister had the combo platter that came with three chicken balls, and beef and broccoli. Everything came out so quickly, and our waitress was quite attentive with us as well as the other patrons in the restaurant. The owners were walking by and smiled when we first walked in. The food was delicious! it was hot, flavourful, and there was a lot. My sister enjoyed the beef & broccoli, and I enjoyed the sweet and sour pork, which came with sliced carrots and pineapple (which I'm not a fan of so I just scraped those to the side), and also came with chicken fried rice, which was hot and tasty! The egg roll was crunchy, and the wonton soup was tasty and not too salty. Our desert was a small piece of mocha coffee cake and a dollop of whipped cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. It was so good, and you only needed that small piece of a taste! The prices were really good, it was $11.99 for the combo plate, and they take interac/major credit cards. You go up and pay at the front. We had a wonderful meal and you get a lot of food. This is definitely a Chatham staple and we were happy to report back to the student nurse how awesome it was.

Pretty good sometimes slow but not bad for the price like the online order and pickup stuff makes…read moreit really easy
