I would call it just "ok". I had never eaten food from here before, despite living in the area 33 years. I ordered crab Rangoon and the garlic chicken combo, with fried rice and an egg roll. The crab Rangoon were good, pretty standard but tasty. The garlic chicken lacked flavor. It really didn't have much taste at all. The chicken was quite soft and spongy, which isn't my favorite texture in meat. I don't want it tough, but even though it was white meat chicken, it had the texture of just chicken fat. The egg roll was fine but unremarkable, as was the fried rice. I ended up eating one meal from it and tossing the leftovers. Port Huron has so few Asian restaurants, but I doubt I'll rush back. read more

Terrific food. Their orange chicken has big pieces and light crunchy breading. The chicken mei fun is great. I need to remember to ask for it to be spicy though. Great light crunchy spring rolls. The food is very good. We have our 2 favorites and they're always delicious. The service was fast as it's not a sit down restaurant. You order and it is quick. The sesame chicken is mostly tender white chicken that's breaded. We stop here often. It's very clean and that's important. read more

As a native New Yorker traveling across the country, I have struggled to find decent Chinese food anywhere but home. Peking kitchen finally changed that for me. The food is absolutely fantastic, exactly what Chinese food should be. I don't usually eat crab, but the crab rangoons were INCREDIBLE. This is my new go-to spot whenever I am craving Chinese. We did not like it at all. Almond Chicken consisted of a gross gravy and a side of deep fried breaded chicken that was oddly slippery chicken. The Almond Chicken had no Slivered Almonds and was not served on a bed of sliced Iceberg Lettuce as it should be. The Sweet n Sour Chicken was better as the breasts chunks were breaded as they should be. But again not a good sauce, Their chicken Fried Rice was not at all as rice should be made with Egg Water Chestnuts and sprouts. Not going back. I may have high expectations as I visited Beijing, Shanghai, Hong King and many other provinces and tasted excellent food first hand but comparing local to local seasoning was bland but OK. We visit this place when we get rained out for a meal when staying at the KOA in Port Huron. They have great Chinese food--especially their lo mein and their dumplings. The only dish we haven't liked was the Szechuan bean curd (tofu). The tofu was too soft and bland, which is disappointing for a vegetarian friend as it's the only tofu dish on the menu. But carnivores can be happy--their beef, pork, and chicken dishes are very good! read more

Peking Kitchen is quick, delicious Chinese takeout that (lucky me) is close to my work and home. I am a fan of the mixed vegetables. Simple, but well prepared with a nice (not heavy) brown sauce. My ultra picky hubby usually tries something different each time we order. He's enjoyed many of the chicken and shrimp combination dishes that he has tried. Only because we were famished. Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. My god this was place is filthy! Lobster sauce was water. Egg rolls were gross. We ate. It was edible but just really really bad. I'd go up two more stars if they just cleaned this place up. Old tape on the windows. Old peeled decals. Customers only sign on the bathroom door? Made me wonder if they have lots of people walking into their little dirty strip mall space to use their bathroom... The wall directly behind the front counter is old peeled and dirty paint. Seriously 1 quart of paint from Walmart for like six dollars would be enough to brighten it up and refresh it. The windows in lobby area could be cleaned up in a matter of two or three hours with a razor blade, some goo gone, and some Windex if somebody wanted to try. And that's the point. When you order something with vegetables (like "Bean Curd Home Style (w/ Vegetables)"), each individual vegetable is cooked perfectly. Best hot and sour soup east of Lansing - actually hot and sour & loaded with veg, tofu, mushrooms, & chicken. The food is easily the best Chinese in the area, and I'm a widely traveled foodie that's tried at least half the menu. Try the hunan beef or the house mei fun. The wonton soup is total comfort food, and the sweet & sour is plentiful and well done. Yup, the egg rolls are small & frozen (I don't get them), but the meat is plentiful in the dishes (no scrimping) and the veg is very fresh. Their sauce for Almond boneless and sweet and sour is terrible. They also need to update their food pictures okn the wall because they don't make some of the dishes and others look nothing like what is depicted. The chicken looked like big pieces until you took the breeding off & the chicken was greasy. The price you pay for the portion you get is less than you would get anywhere else.
