They are the friendliest family. They work hard and provide great food. I love ordering from here!

Food and customer service has gone down hill... The lady was rude I asked for soy sauce and she said "you need more" I said I didn't open the bag and she handed me 2. I checked the bag and there was 2 in there for 2 meals.. You use to be able to get veg or pork fried rice with your meal and now they won't let you. And only ONE BROCCOLI STEM with my chicken. This place use to be the best around and would hook you up. When I was a kid they would fill the box with veggies chicken and rice and side of your choice... still good flavor just stingy as most places now of days Even my 2 fortune cookies were smashed smh read more

This place runs like a well oiled machine. Orders coming in left and right. Walk ins and calls non-stop while I was there and I can see why. I ordered at the counter all in the midst of the chaos totally prepared to wait a bit because I didn't call ahead. That being said my order was still done in about ten mins. Even with all the chaos of other orders. I give them huge props for this because my food was delicious. Super hot and fresh. Loads of fresh veggies and an amazing Szechuan sauce. Friendly staff ready to take orders and to make them quickly. Not much of an area to sit so don't expect a bunch of booth or seats. Just a small business for mainly take out. My order made it at least 15 mins drive and was still hot. I also asked for a little extra heat with the chicken and they delivered without it being disgustingly spicy. It was perfect. A little sweat on my forehead but I can't stop eating it. Can't wait to try more from here. read more

Great Wall Chinese Restaurant - Szechuan chicken and Vegetable Lo Mein - Chinese Near Me - Port Huron, Michigan

Always dependable! The perfect Chinese takeout in our town. There's nothing I love more than an endless supply of general tsos chicken, swimming in broccoli It's always a nice night when we bring home a variety and just start chowing down It has a very small, but functional eating area with limited seating, as it is mainly a carry out place But do not hesitate if you're in the mood for Chinese! read more

The older daughter has no experience in good customer service. Was loud on an incorrect order didn't even look into it. Very unlikely as one that comes every other week with the same order. Very hostile over the phone. read more

Fast and consistent. Open when you need them. Good location. Pretty good Cantonese food!

Great Wall Chinese Restaurant - Sweet and sour chicken with chicken fried rice - Chinese Near Me - Port Huron, Michigan

The best Chinese in Port Huron. Not really a large restaurant for sitting and eating. But, the take out is great. Always very fresh with great veggies. Mongolian Beef is my favorite. read more

Quick and courteous service. Reasonable prices. Delicious entrees. Kind and hardworking family.

Love their chicken lo-mein. Quick and yummy with everything they make! My go to Chinese restaurant!

I've been in Port Huron for just over a year and this restaurant comes the closest to my favourite Chinese restaurant down in Jackson, Mi. They take my order(s) quickly and always have it hot and waiting for me when I get there. I tend to lean towards the lo mein and the shrimp fried rice. The lo mein always has plenty of veggies, meat and of course noodles. They put it in aluminum foil bowls so do NOT put the containers in the microwave unless you want to buy a new microwave. read more

Eat here often, very good take out, fast friendly service, large portions, good prices. Best in the area, favorites are fried dumplings, hot and sour soup, roast pork Hunan, shrimp with black beans, shredded pork Szechuan, and house special lo mein. Cantonese dishes are ok but not as good, stick to Szechuan and Hunan style. Back last week, just as good. Had shrimp egg roll, hot and sour soup, fried dumplings, and triple delight; all great. read more

Under the criteria of Chinese Takeout food, the place is worthy of 5 stars. I'm not comparing it to a sit-down restaurant, as I feel that expectations should be different. With that said... The service at the Great Wall is excellent, on par with what I would expect from ANY restaurant. The people are courteous, efficient, and helpful. An important value is if a restaurant is willing to "adjust" the dish to a customer's needs. For example, the combination meals come with fried rice and an egg roll. I asked for broccoli as substitute to the rice. There was a $1 upcharge, which is normal. The staff person was accommadating. Everyone has their preferences when it comes to Chinese food. I like the chicken dishes like Sesame and General Zhao options. Chicken itself was tender and good chunks. The meal portion was perfect. 1-2 people can enjoy one of their combination meals. If you're looking for a meal to take home or a hotel, this place is a definite winner. read more

"10 minutes"... until what I think is the tastiest Chinese take out on the northend of town. Our family favorites are the Shrimp Lo Mein (lots of veggies, noodles, shrimp and sauce), Cashew Chicken (lots of cashews, celery and other crunchy stuff), Almond Chicken (lots of sliced, batter-fried chicken and gravy), Sesame Chicken (lots of chunky chicken sprinkled with sesame seeds and sauce), and Beef and Broccoli (lots of beef, broccoli and carrots). All are fresh and full of flavor with NO MSG added. After a long day at work it's always so nice to have service with a smile too. ALWAYS a smile. Oh, by the way, did I mention...you get LOTS!! **My pooches are even fans of this spot... they get the fortune cookies!! read more

Great Wall has the best Chinese food in all of Port Huron. I would rate them five stars, and I would help them bring them more business by spreading the good word. However, they have absolutely no customer service skills, and they especially have no regard for me every time I come here. For this, I rate them two stars. Yes, I've never had anything bad here. In fact, everything is absolutely delicious. Everything from their egg drop soup to their lo mein. They have plenty for us vegetarians. The omnivores love their dishes too. The portions are MASSIVE for the price. You can't get much better than this anywhere, even in Chicago. It's cheap, it's super good, and you get a lot for what you pay for. However, I find it very unfair that they cannot make the tofu dishes in small sizes when every other dish is available in small sizes, even seafood. I hate getting large portions. I am a tiny person, and I always have leftovers, and it is wasteful, which is why I always order the small size whenever possible. Everyone else in my party when we go to Great Wall gets to order their entrees in a small except me. When I first went to Great Wall, I tried to order General Tso's Tofu and I asked if they can make give me a small portion. They said "no". I ordered it anyway. I called a few hours later and tried to speak to the manager or owner (who was unavailable). She told me that they will do it for me next time. Next time comes around and they told me that they would not honor that request. I was not given a reason. They told me they wouldn't do it. I mean, really? I understand that they do not sell the tofu dishes very often, if at all. We're in a small city in Michigan. But, tofu doesn't cost very much, even at market price. Maybe ~$2 at a neighborhood grocery store. It's not like I'm asking them to change the recipe! Anyway, I was annoyed and angry that they told me that they would honor that request and they didn't. Plus, they aren't a friendly bunch anyway. At least, the lady who runs the front and takes orders. Yes, I would go back, but very reluctantly. I and my boyfriend's family like Chan's Buffet and Mongolian Grill. Oh yes, I went there. I listed other restaurants in this review. That's because there are other comparable options in Port Huron, minus the unpleasant personality of the manager and their lack of adaptability to the customer. read more

Great Chinese food without the headache! Food is amazing. Service is fast and friendly! Prices are good. 10/10

This place seems to be stepping up their game. They have been here for quite a while, but recently I have noticed the food is better. Some of my friends rave about the soup. The quantity and prices are good. 10 minutes for most orders, so you can't argue with speed. Not crazy about their egg rolls, but other than that a quick over the counter Chinese place. Friendly. You won't confuse this with health food. read more

Love the food there and Lucy is the sweetest lady, I'm in a wheelchair and it's a bit of a hassle to go inside to get my order. Lucy tells me to call and she will bring me my food. And the food is always great. read more

Best Chinese food in the area, without question. The building is nothing special but for takeout, there is no better place around.

If this place were in a major metropolitan area, I'd probably give it a three. But here we are in Port Huron, where this is just about as good as it gets for asian food. Their kitchen is clean, their staff is remarkably fast, and the food is pretty good and the prices are hard to argue with. There are a lot of dishes to like in this place, even if there isn't much space to enjoy them in. Best for take-out! read more

Great value and great service. Real Chinese employees who speak adequate English. Always very friendly to me and I do carry out on a regular basis. Try the General Tsao's Chicken, vegetable fried rice and won ton soup. read more

Some of the better Chinese take out in the area. Especially good soup and chicken dishes. Super quick service and great prices.

First, let me start off by saying that I haven't eaten here in a year or two. I love the beef fried yellow rice that comes standard with most of their dinner meals. I've yet to find another Chinese restaurant that does this. Their sweet & sour chicken is on par with other places as well. They have a house special (chinese chow mein) that is really good, a bit greasy (most chinese food is...) but good! Their sesame chicken is also extremely good! They usually aren't the friendliest but they're quick. They also have a few tables to eat in as well but from what i remember it's a bit noisy. They don't use Styrofoam containers for their dinners, they use foil pans and plastic lids although sauces come in a Styrofoam bowl (assuming the soup does as well.) read more

This place used to be our family's go-to for for takeout Chinese food. Apparently it's gone downhill, massively. Rude customer service. Hung up on 3 times before I could finish telling the woman that answered the phone our order. Was yelled at for wanting different rice. General Tsao's Chicken was very bland and didn't taste anything like General Tsao's Chicken they served in the past. Won't be going here again. read more

Best Chinese food in Port Huron. Always greeted with a smile, and always told "Have a nice day". Would not go anywhere else.

Waste of money for tasteless Chinese . The establishment is dirty, and staff not so friendly.

This used to be a great place for Chinese take out. I ordered almond chicken and I swear it is pork. Taste nothing like chicken and also looks like a boneless pork chop. Breaking in their chicken is too crunchy. Can hardly eat it without breaking a tooth. Will probably not order here again. read more
