We found the Yard House on Yelp knowing we were staying close by. Came in during a storm and sat at the bar. Chance was our bartender and took very good care of us. We ordered the Poke Nachos and they were delicious. The food is good and our server was exceptional. The rock music is really blaring so it is difficult to have a conversation. It is a place that is sports bar in feel. Many TVs showing sports. We sat at a booth. We ordered a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and shrimp tacos. The food arrived quickly. My friend meal included rice and beans. Unfortunately the rice and beans were not hot. The server returned shortly after he provided our meals. We told him the issue. He apologized and said he would bring another plate. He returned a few minutes later with a hot plate of rice and beans. Much better! The tortilla soup was huge and filling. Pieces of avocado were placed in the soup. A few chunks of chicken. A little salty for my taste yet still tasty. If you are paying by credit card, there are machines on each table for contactless payment. Genius! It was easy to navigate. It even allowed to split the bill. It tallies up your bill with a 20 percent tip. That can be changed if you want. You can also get a paper copy or have your receipt emailed to you. Car club had monthly lunch gathering and chose the Yard House as the venue. Everyone was glad we did. The Yard House is a big place with lots and lots of barrels of beer. Usually, a place this large is noisy and conversation is somewhat strained due to the crowd noise and the equipment to keep the crowd cool noise. This was not the case at the Yard House. We were all definitely comfortable on a hot day, but we could hear each other quite clearly. So kudos on the acoustics. We had a table for all 16 or so of us. The wait staff was great and took drink orders almost immediately after each person was seated. The menu is extensive with something for everyone and our group did have a good sampling of the menu. Several had burgers of varying composition, several had salads with salmon and other slabs of flesh on top. I had the Shiitake and garlic noodles. Pleased I did as this was just enough for a lite lunch. There was a good size crowd in the restaurant for the lunch hour and I imagine the place does a very good dinner service. As noted the wait staff was great. Sixteen dishes all arrived at roughly the same time, they were right there to replenish drinks and all with a smile. Great place, highly recommend. read more

Really awesome food at Desert Ridge marketplace. Had a serving of lobster garlic noodles with really nicely sized pieces of Lobster in my plate and some other Seafood as well. The experience we has at the North Phoenix, Desert Ridge location far exceeded our expectations, Taylor provided the best customer service we have e er experienced at any of the Yard House locations. Manager comes over to say he can hear the music just fine. Personally I don't think it good customer service to call you customers liars. It wasn't that big of a deal for him to even come to our table. Our server had pretty much explained the problem. What my father said is remarkably true - don't order fish in a steak house. This is a burger (10) and beer place (10) with other food (7). When busy, it has too many customers and too few servers and cooks so the wait for items you order can take a while or, in a few cases, forgotten altogether. Burgers and beer are exceptional but Korean whatever and fish could be taken off menu. Food is generally worth waiting for, although cheese curds are overly breaded and difficult to eat. I came here with a friend and our kids for dinner. I haven't been to this yard house in a few years and unfortunately the experience wasn't great. The kids ordered pizza, it came out burnt. My kids only ate 1 slice. They did like and ate their fries. My friend and I both ordered a skinny margarita. They tasted good but it was interesting that my friends had barely any ice in her drink and mine was filled with ice. I drank it in 4 sips. They did remake one for me which was nice but then brought me a regular margarita. I could taste the difference. They did take that one back and made me another skinny margarita. Then they brought me the wrong salad for dinner. They took it back but brought it with tomatoes, I asked for no tomatoes. They took it back again and brought me the correct salad. I have always loved going to Yard House at Santana Row in Santa Clara, but this Scottsdale location is not it... We ordered to go. Of course their poke nachos was the bomb and I love their crème brûlée cheesecake, but the worker literally forgot about us She told me she'd walk out to our car to give us our food but she forgot and we sat and waited for a very long time until we finally went in to ask. My friend got the steak bowl. The steak was great but the rest was too salty; too much sauce. Haven't been here in awhile. Got the chicken nachos for appetizer, it was delicious. It did take awhile for it to come out, it was busy. We chosen to sit outside on the patio. It was nice out. They had a special on burgers. Half off burgers by friends got some. I got the ribeye steak with broccoli instead of brocholini. It was super good. The entrance is on the outer side of the mall. Where the patio is, it's like the backside. If you sign up for emails they will give you a free appetizer the next day. There's many options to choose from. We always get pizza and horderves. Its hard to find a good pizza in AZ. Tried many places. Nowhere compared to what we were used to in Calif or Philadelphia. Normally prefer combos. Yard house came close the first 5 or 6 x for a pepperoni. Then one time not good, next time good then all of a sudden the last 4 times all bad. We keep going back hoping maybe they do it right. This last time was the absolute worse. I saw a little sauce. A few pieces were missed completely absolutely No sauce. Dried and bubbled at the top. Minimal cheese minimal sauce. Pizza was limp not crispy just a waste of money. Think maybe during dinner they rush it. We normally get it to go we live right down the street. Sad.
