We came in with a party of 13, and overall the service wasn't bad. I'd give it four stars just for our waitress. She was awesome. Attentive, patient, and handled a large table really well. Where things fell off was everywhere else. The kitchen forgot one person's meal, and it took another 12 minutes to get it out after everyone else was already eating. That's tough with a big group. We stopped by during a shopping outing and were so pleasantly surprised. There was a minor issue where a pen exploded and ink got on our hands while browsing the menu. Great service! Went during happy hour prices which is half off pizzas and apps. For an appetizer, I had the fries and the Korean fried chicken. The chicken was very flavorful and delicious. Ordered the thin crusted BBQ chicken pizza which was the perfect size for me. They have a large beer selection. Visited the McAllen, TX venue with a friend. We sat at the bar. Servers were friendly but food was horrible. Started with a tortilla chicken soup, but there was no chicken and didn't resemble any tortilla soup I have ever had anywhere. It was more like chowder. Ordered Korean cheese steak sandwich with onion rings. Couldn't stomach more than two bites and two rings--the sandwich was inedible as it was like eating pure salt and the rings tasted as if they were cooked a day before. My friend's dish (garlic shiitake noodles) was so salty that she too couldn't eat it. The manager was friendly and removed the costs of the two dishes, but we left not even wanting to try anything else after the half-hour wait for those dishes. This is yet another overpriced, commercialized place with a very loud atmosphere geared more for a younger crowd whose palate is not too discerning. Certainly will not return. On a positive note, they have a remarkable beer selection but don't go for food. read more

Had my first taste of yard house years ago in Cali and loved it. So glad the valley has one. Been here multiple times since it opened and everything has been good. Favorite go to are the ahi tuna nachos, sliders, garlic lobster noodles...but honestly a lot of the items are pretty good. I was there last night with some friends for the game . I ordered the nachos but with beef and I asked the bartender can they make them fresh and she asked me how I wanted the meat? And I asked for medium! So the nachos come out and the portion of meat is small. I've ordered them before and they were delicious but they change the type of beef and I told them what happened and the manager got mad because they messed up? And he gave me such attitude and goes on to say I'm gonna make them again but you will have to take them to go ! I'm like wtf ? And you don't have to pay for anything just leave ! So they bring the nachos with a different meat and the meat is well beyond well done ! And I tell them and the other manager lady or whatever ever pronoun she was told me I had to leave because I complained the last time and I'm at fault because they keep messing up on my food ??? Then she says leave now and I'm calling the police to come escort you! I'm like wow just because they can't get an order correct oh and the second set of nachos the sauce was all dry like it was the same nachos from the first time . And I'm not welcomed there again? I wanted to do like a spiteful vengeful post because I think they cut you off more than any bar on earth. I get cut off every time here. They even kicked me out one time for asking people at the bar if they wanted the sound of the cowboys game. Because instead of the sound they were gonna play 80s music. It was a HUGE game too. So the service here is fkn terrible. The manager is like 20 years old. Ok so this a bit spiteful but I've ALWAYS had an issue with something here. OUTSIDE of the that, the service at every other yard house I've been in my life has been fine so I think it's just this place is poorly run. Beer selection is incredible. Great bar. Food is fine. With the small chunks of red Ahi, melted cheese, avocado, Siracha, with truffle sauce, and more- tho do be careful bc for me and my 2 other friends who ate it - there are like 4 spicy slices of peppers.. something. My bartender did let me sample some she thought were similar to the Porter, no luck. Next time I'll just go to Whistling Duck in Mission. I did try the Onion Ring Tower, I was expecting something better, something more genuine, like the ones at Cheddar's, for example. Instead, I got some rings piled up on a stick. The meat had great flavor but seemed to be a bit overcooked even though I requested medium cooking. Cocktails were on point.
