I've been going to this salon since they first opened in MV. Service is always delightful and peaceful. Hard gel manicure with Katie was very detailed and pleasant. Will return back with another appointment.

I really wish I didn't have to write this review :/ I have been a loyal customer for years and have always looked forward to my apportionments Unfortunately I received bad service today. I initially came in with short/ medium nails with two lifted gel and one broken finger. The broken finger had happened the night before and I was unable to adjust my appointment that I had made to let the technician know of the issue. When I arrived, I was asked if I wanted to keep the nail that short but I asked for a single nail extension and was told "I don't do that.". After shortening the rest of my nails so that the initial one did not look too odd in comparison I noticed the issues. All of the nails are different shapes, and sizes. Some are very short while others are far above the nail bed. They range from oval to square to rounded coffin. The gel overlay is inconsistent. There are some nails that are flimsy and bend to the touch while others are rock solid, and some have no gel in the corners that can cause easy lifting. When filing down the original gel, the drill bit burnt my nail. I am used to a little twinge, but this hurt so much, I had to pull my hand away. I was very sad and frustrated with the service I received today. It has made me weary.

First time in this new location, looks very clean and nice! Irina was amazing, did a great job on my hands and feet! Love the bright pink ("brand color" :-) Wish more people knew about this dry manicure - pedicure place and give it a try! Much better and safer and cleaner than traditional nail salons.

Amazing service! Very detail oriented with very natural results. Be prepared to pay double what you normally would at a basic nail shop but the results do last twice as long and look better! If you are looking for natural, clean, attention to detail... this is your place!

This review is for the eyebrow lamination, tint & shape. I've seen this trend all over social media and decided to give it a try. I grew out my brows for 2 months. Today Tanya did an AMAZING job I am so happy the way my eyebrows turned out. I also get my manicure & pedicures here at YARCO. I've been a loyal customer for almost two years. I am VERY VERY picky and I'm so pleased with all my services here. Do not hesitate to give YARCO a try you will not be disappointed. All the ladies here are so helpful and super nice. Yara the owner is a doll such a sweet & genuine person who runs her business very well.

Decided to try out the "Russian" or dry manicure and was pleasantly surprised w the results. My manicure definitely lasts longer than my typical gel manicure and the overall look is a lot better. I think it's important to note that the gel setting for the base and first coat BURNS! I thought it was just me but the first time I went another customer made that comment to the tech. I've been 4 times now and it's the same every time. It's also A LOT pricier than your regular gel manicure and takes a lot longer. So prepare for that. This salon is very clean and the staff is attentive upon arrival. After that it's pretty quiet and every time I've been there the only talking I really hear is between the nails techs or if the person they are working on happens to speak Russian. But personally I don't mind a quiet session. All that said, here is my experience(s) breakdown: Cleanliness: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5 (they offer water, tea, etc. when you arrive), the only down side is they have a tv playing what seems like "travel blogger" videos with techno-like music as a backdrop ON LOOP. So if you're there for 60-90 mins and can't tune it out, it'll definitely make you a little crazy Staff friendliness:4/5 (based on above note) Manicure quality:4/5 (one time I had a different, presumably new tech and my manicure was def different, and this last time there was a little bit of "spill") Overall, it's worth trying it at least once and see if it's worth your time and money.

I have had very thin nails my whole life, so I need to keep my manicures maintained in order for my nails not to break often. I have been getting acrylic nail extensions for years and noticed that my nails were getting severely damaged from how rough acrylics are, so I decided to see if there are any nail techs near me that do Russian manicures (since I would get them whenever I was in Russia and LOVED the results). For some reason, Russian manicures weren't very popular in the USA until a few years ago so I couldn't find anyone local to me (in San Francisco) but I found Yarco Studio in Mountain View! I have been coming to Yarco studio since they first opened and I will keep coming back as long as I live in the Bay Area. I drive over 45 minutes to this salon for my nail appointments because the quality of their work and customer service is unmatched! Lena is an amazing nail tech and my nails end up PERFECT after every appointment, I am very picky about my nail shape and I have never had any issues or ever had to come back for a broken/chipped nail. When I was getting acrylics I would need to get a fill every 2 weeks because they looked so outgrown, but with a Russian manicure my nails last 4-6 weeks without any breakage and they grow out so naturally! I noticed my nails and cuticles started to heal with time and my hands are finally back to being healthy and recovered from acrylics/harmful chemicals they endured for years before. The manicures are a little more on the pricey side but it's so worth it once you see the quality and how long the manicure lasts you. Russian manicures are healthier for your nails, they last longer, and they look so much better!

I heard about Russian manicures through TikTok and have been dying to try one because I am never satisfied with cuticle care at nail salons. I think this is by far the B manicure I've ever gotten in the US. I had the nail tech Hely and she spent about 1.5-2 hours perfectly cleaning up my nails, cuticle, and painting to a perfection with a thin brush. A manicure is $90 but soon to go up to $100 as per their website. You get greeted with a coffee and treat and they have phone cables of all types at each station. My nails were all messed up from lack of proper care and all different lengths and despite how short they were, with the cuticle cleaning and clipping, it made my nails look so much longer. I should have taken a before and after picture- I am soooo pleased with the outcome! They even gave me a little treat as a first time customer. I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the Bay Area!

Great customer service! They greet you with a beverage and chocolate. And if you're a new client they gift you a cute goodie bag with cuticle oil and lotion, that was a nice touch. Now for the nails themselves... Bema did overall good job with the exception of a few nicks/cuts when cutting my cuticles. I have 4 cuts that still sting. Hopefully that won't happen again at my next visit. But the paint job was good pand very detailed. I tried my first Russian manicure at a diff location and can tell the difference in their technique. This place seems more authentic Russian manicure. Let's see how they hold up. I'll follow up with retention feedback in a few weeks. Overall do recommend this place.

I cannot recommend this nail salon highly enough! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and relaxed. The space is spotless, beautifully decorated, and has a calming atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel like a pampering retreat. Russian manicure is on another level! You cannot compare it to any regular salons in the Bay Area. It differs in the way they cut your cuticles. After they are done, there is no space between the cuticles and the nail polish. They look instagram worthy! My technician was Lena. I have never had my nails looking as beautiful and flawless as they do now! I am very happy with the results. They look thin, natural, neat, evenly filed. Wow. Good job ladies! read more

I live pretty far away and was running late to my appointment this morning, but Yara and her team were so kind and accommodating even though they were short on time. I really appreciated how understanding she was despite my tardiness. I loved my nails the first time I visited, which is why I came back, and I love them even more this time. Very cute, clean, and with thoughtful details throughout. Every station has phone chargers for you to charge your phone while getting mani-pedi and a dedicated place for your purse so you don't have to leave it on the floor. The salon is light, bright and doesn't smell of stinky chemicals. You can always expect to be offered a cup of coffee and a delicious treat! Almost forgot; the manicures and pedicures are exceptional. Doesn't matter whom you end up going to, you are guaranteed a thorough and lovely job on your hands and feet. read more

The salon offers Russian manicure services, and I would never trade it for anything else! This was my second visit to the salon. I recently moved, and it's the closest one to where I live now. It's hard to book an appointment with the top nail techs, but it's possible if you schedule in advance. I also like their waitlist -- it's a great way to snag a manicure quickly if there's a cancellation. As for the quality, everything lasts perfectly with no lifting. The only downside is the slightly high price, and I hope they don't raise it with the new year. read more

The best and cleanest gel manicure i have received in the past 10 years in bay area. The salon is clean and quiet. Unlike other nail salons, there is no loud talking and laughing the whole time. To start off, the pictures speak for themselves. I recently visited Yarco for the first time, usually opting for nail salons in SF, but needed a last-minute appointment. I'm typically quite particular about my nails and tend to run late, but even though I arrived 15 minutes behind schedule, they graciously accommodated me. However, I'd recommend being on time to prevent any possible cancellations. The Russian manicure was absolutely worth it, with meticulous attention paid to detail and cuticle care. I usually go for short, nude-colored gel nails, and they met my expectations beautifully. The studio itself was impeccably clean, and they skillfully removed my previous hard gel nails. A huge thank you to Bema for the outstanding care and expertise! I loved how the pictures turned out! read more

I had a manicure at Yarco Mountain View yesterday. I had a "dry" manicure with a "top master." I was happy with my nail polish, but not with the abrasions on my cuticles, which today are scabbed over. The sores sting when I wash my hands, which is unfortunately a possible entry for infections. I have gotten "dry" efile manicures for 8 years and have not experienced cuticle abrasions. The technician was diligent and thorough, however I did not expect injury. But this does explain the legal waiver a customer is required to sign before service. This salon has a serious business vibe, super clean and somewhat clinical. I have been in salons with a warmer sociability with more ease of customers and employees. read more

This was my second time coming to Yarco for a manicure, and I've had a great experience both times. I arrived a little early but they were able to accommodate me. Marine did an amazing job-- she was very attentive to detail and ensured at multiple points that I liked the shape, color, length, etc. The place is clean/peaceful and they offer a beverage during the appointment. I have fast-growing nails but my last manicure from here lasted ~5 weeks! This will definitely be my go-to nail salon when I'm back in the bay. read more

I thought perhaps this was some kind of weird Instagram algorithm where they saw my patterns of "liked" microblading videos lol. Come to my surprise, a lot of my friends were talking about it and getting their eyebrows done. They looked amazing! I got so curious about it and read a couple of reviews and I was spooked off of some of the reviews I was reading... I read about eyebrow disasters and "trusting" your artist. So I had spent time on researching different artists and studios. I was introduced to Tiffany's work through complimenting one of my girlfriend's eyebrows! "I got it microbladed!" I totally thought she had grown out her brows and reshaped it or something, wrong. Microbladed. "Whats her IG?!?! (Instagram account)" I was impressed with her work! And I jumped on the opportunity immediately! And made the appointment. While introducing herself to me I started to feel at ease and comfortable. Honestly, I had been freaking out the night before up to the moment I met her, wondering if this was something I really wanted to commit myself to. During the consultation she was very professional and thorough. She was patient and reassuring answering all my questions. She was very attentive and took her time to get the framework even and natural. Im very particular and like my eyebrows a certain way but she never flinched frustration if I suggested a slight change to the shape and sizing of my eyebrows. Once we started the actual microblading process, she continued to make sure I was comfortable, talking me through the process, and played very relaxing music. The whole experience put me at ease. My eyebrows are really the only thing I occasionally put makeup on and I was interested in microblading to simplify my morning routine. An accident from years ago left me with a scar which kept hair from growing in half of my left eyebrow. Though I hadn't researched much beforehand (except to see her 5-star reviews and know I was in a good place), I felt immediately trusting of Tiffany's vision. She applied a first bit of topical numbing cream and I signed some paperwork. Then I relaxed as she drew an outline (which I confirmed), we chose the color pigment, she did the first round of incisions, applied the numbing cream (which needs to have cuts to go in in order to work), and then she got to work filling in the rest of my brows. I didn't mind the sensation, and the entire time Tiffany and I were excitedly chatting about all sorts of things ranging from travels, to dreams, to philosophy and "living our best life"! Tiffany was very attentive to creating a comfortable and nourishing space. I was impressed by her ability to concentrate as we were having such a good time! By the end of the procedure, I was a little nervous as I was bleeding a bit more than most people (I think maybe due to anemia but some people just bleed more than others apparently). Bleeding more means the pigment is less likely to stick, but Tiffany was sure to patiently clot it with a tissue and reapply more pigment after so it would stay. Thankfully, when she showed me the mirror I was giddily relieved as it looked AMaZiNG!! I am thoroughly impressed with the work she did. My brows looks thicker, fuller, darker (ahem- like they exist 100%!) and I feel more radiant than ever! I went for a long walk after just to show my babies off!! ‍ I feel more confident and very satisfied with my decision. Tiffany was so sweet, professional, wise, and intuitively able to connect with me on a deeper level personally and in regards to giving me exactly what I wanted (without much input from me). Her prices are also very affordable for such good quality compared to what some other salons charge. I 100% recommend her! Be sure to get an appointment before she leaves to share more beauty on the East Coast!

Look at that tail!!! I fell victim to her selected postings on Instagram of her perfect work.... No, she cherry picks the best to showcase for her portfolio. I sent her additional message and she just ignored them. Please do more research. I also found out the "nano brow" she does is not true nano brow. She has the tool for it but does not know how to actually practice the technique. It's supposed to be whispy, not microblade-like. My only hope is that my tattoo brow will fade drastically. She fked up so bad. She shouldn't be teaching if she's this bad. She can't even do her mapping right. Maybe that's why she didn't do it when I requested it. Maybe she knew the mistake she made and didn't wanna make it obvious. I can't believe I even tipped her. She only worked on me for less than an hour. The artist I talked to said Chu was supposed to be careful and taken her time 2-3 hours to really do a better job. But her job here is apparently amateur. It's so bad.

I booked a Russian manicure with a "Master Nail Tech" and was expecting a premium experience, especially considering the price point. For a service that starts $100+, I expected both the salon environment and level of expertise to reflect that investment. Upon arriving, the receptionist was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, the overall salon itself felt like a standard nail salon and did not provide the elevated or luxury atmosphere I expected based on the pricing. The bigger issue was my appointment. I had booked with a Master Nail Tech and requested that two of my shorter nails be extended so that all of my nails would be the same length. In my opinion, this seemed like a fairly reasonable request for someone advertised as a master-level technician. I was told that the service would require a specialized technique, additional time, and that my technician was unable to perform it. This was surprising given that I had specifically booked a two-hour appointment with a Master Nail Tech. When I asked whether another technician could help, I was told no one else was available. At that point, I felt the salon made little effort to accommodate me or offer an alternative solution. The overall interaction gave me the impression that my technician simply did not want to perform the service I was requesting. What made the situation even more frustrating is that after leaving, I immediately booked an appointment at another salon. They were able to get me in right away, perform exactly what I had requested, including extending the shorter nails, and complete everything within the same two-hour timeframe. That experience made it difficult to understand why the service seemed impossible here. As a result, I left roughly 15 minutes after arriving because the salon was unable to provide the service I came in for. To make matters worse, there was discussion about charging a $50 cancellation/ no show fee even though I had shown up for my appointment and the issue stemmed from the salon's inability to perform the requested service. Overall, I left disappointed. Between the lack of accommodation, the mismatch between the advertised expertise and what I experienced, and the premium pricing that didn't translate into a premium experience, I won't be returning. read more

I've been wanting to try a Russian manicure for a while now and finally came to Yarco for my first one after the studio was recommended by a friend. My nails came out great and I'm very happy with the quality, service, and overall experience. Russian manicures are much more expensive than the regular gel manicures I've been getting for years, but I think they're well worth it and I'm not sure I can go back to regular anymore. They even gave me a really cute gift (cuticle oil and hand lotion) on my way out for being a first-time customer. I've known Yara, the owner of the salon, for over 5 years, and I can confidently say that she is a master of her craft! I've tried both her manicure and pedicure services, and each time I leave feeling like a queen! The salon is always spotlessly clean, and the staff is incredibly professional and friendly. They make me feel so special and take the time to understand exactly what I want. Best nail salon ever. Best manicures and pedicures ever. Amazing technicians that always do great. I've been going for more than a year and they never fail me. I love going to Natalie, Lena, and Illona! They do the absolute best every time! One thing I focus on the most is retention. Their retention is amazing and I don't take care of my nails THAT much. I'm pretty rough with my nails but 4+ weeks they're still on, no lifting! These are the few sets I've gotten. As you can see, no lifting :D and it's been more than a month! read more

I had my first gel manicure ever with Anna at YARCO. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. She shaped them perfectly to compliment my nail beds/hands and was meticulous with the gel application to make them look natural which is exactly what I wanted. Since it was my first time getting gel, she talked me through each step, helped me decide between a few colors, and answered all my questions. My nails have never looked this good after a manicure.
