Really delicious breakfast ,price is fair and service is fast paced but all in all good place to eat despite its hidden location.

Was in the area visiting a friend and stumbled upon this little mom and pop deli by chance and I'm glad I did! The gentleman and woman at the counter were so friendly and attentive as soon as I walked in! Chicken cutlets looked amazing so I ordered them on a whole wheat roll with crispy bacon American cheese lettuce and light mayo, decided to stay and ear ar the little dining area w high top table/chairs & a flat screen playing News12 overhead to enjoy my lunch,Sandwich was absolutely delicious! The roll were super fresh,chicken cutlets tasted homemade, not frozen delivered in a bag like some deli's & the bacon was crispy like I ordered it, I was completely satisfied w my lunch! thanked the staff on my way out and if I'm in the area I'll definitely be back! read more

I will surprise you all..... I found this place using Yelp. IK shocker, to be fair tho.. idk how else you would find this place. Here is the story, I was on my way from Melville Ny, to go to River head for Jury duty.... Yuck.. I was so hungry that I popped open yelp and found this place close by. I was greeted by a nice parking lot in which I parked right in front of the Deli. I walk inside and the place was actually kinda nice! I order a BEC on a Bagel and a nice hot coffee. The ppl behind the counter were very professional and kind. I was so happy to actually eat a good meal on my way to this miserable experience, I def didn't want to eat the food at the court house. I hopefully never have to be back to the court house again but If i do I will be stopping here next! read more

I can't rave enough about the food at the Yaphank Deli. First thing I have to talk about, is The abundance of food that they give you. Most people can't finish it in one sitting. My favorite hero, is roast beef, cheddar cheese,lettuce tomato, salt-and-pepper And heavy on the deli mustard. And the nice dell pickle a-long for the ride. Another important thing I feel I have to say is, The roast beef is made fresh on the premises. Not a pre-cooked section of beef wrapped in plastic, and delivered by truck. When I'm feeling hungry, and not able to get out for food, I call the YAPHANK Deli. I just ordered a bacon cheeseburger from there with a large order of french fries. With God as my witness!... We used to order alot from this deli and they always mess it up. Dont customize your order they won't get it right. When they do get it right, it's always good. However how is a Ham and Cheese Sandwich (no lettuce or tomato) $9.45. The last time I ordered a Chicken Cutlet BLT. When my sandwich arrived, the cutlet was a Tyson premade Patti not fresh food. Great local deli I found after doing a quick yelp search while in town for baseball tourney. Great local spot with friendly service and classic NY deli feel. We had two awesome lobster rolls that were made with a lemon sauce and they were fantastic on a tasty roll. Also, had a piece of their homemade lemon cake. Highly recommend! read more

New owners are awesome. We catered a hot breakfast and Alea and Jeff were awesome. It was a celebratory breakfast in honor of my sister being a ten year breast cancer survivor (Amen). Their food was great, and everything was as we agreed. They did a special order for breakfast potatoes and they were perfect! Everyone raved about the spread, the taste and all the extra little things they did that made our event special! If you tended to shy away from this place before, take a chance with them in charge. Lunch items and sandwiches are excellent. Prices are typical, very clean friendly place. Why two stars? Breakfast items are ridiculously over priced. $4 for an egg sandwich and even worse $3 for a cream cheese bagel. Cost me $15 with the kids for bagels and OJ's and the bagels are crappy deli bagels. Could have gone to the diner for that price. read more

I first came across the owners of yapank deli when the had a deli in wading river the wildwood deli late 80s early 90s I live around the corner just awesome. My favorite Delis have always been German Delis not easy to find anymore Then they moved to route 58 riverhead then they left couldn't find them lol by chance one day happened to walk into yapank deli and recognized the owner. Was so happy their food rocks best egg sandwiches their pastries and crumb cake insanely good. All the food is comforting and delicious as it's been since I first started going there. If you like rye bread order your sandwich on rye it's from a bakery that's fresh sliced. read more

Ate here twice after a long day of work and this is a straight up New York Deli plus the price is good aswell got an Italian subbed in Prosciutto instead of ham and it was awesome and who ever gave this place less then 5 stars definitely voted for Bernie or Killary Clinton but the real question is where's the Capicola. read more

If you are going to sell bagels then please make sure they always fresh !! Food selection is very broad. Something for everyone here. Sandwiches are well made and filling. A little pricey, but overall enjoyable.

I love this deli! I love the food. The owners are great. The breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches are generous in portions. If anything, you must try the crumb cake! Clean, friendly staff with a large variety of items, especially German items and baked goods. Everything is fresh and well prepared. You could make two sandwiches from the meat and cheese that they pile on one of their sandwiches. Went here for the first time on the 4th of July for a few sandwiches. I never expect much from most delis, but this place was WOW. The amount of food on the sandwiches, and the freshness, just blew me away. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Supreme, which had a very large portion of grilled chicken breast, melted Swiss, shredded lettuce, tomato, and thousand island dressing. Food is very good. Pricey but worth it for the right order. The Lunch sandwiches are awesome!! They make some really big ready made salads that are worth the $10. Unfortunately, I've been going to this place long enough to pick up on the bad things also. Some times the lettuce has been old in salads and sandwiches, the price for some stuff is out of whack, try ordering anything that is not exact on their menu and they mess it up, and the blonde on the staff is never happy and acts like you bother her just by walking in the place.
