a must visit place in paris Don't miss the hand made Mille-Feuille Only 50 per day ... and take the lemon pie on the side !

White chocolate fox!

After following them on Instagram for a while and peeping through photos, i knew I HAD to add Yann Couvreur to my Paris itinerary. I got the oh-so-famous lemon tart, which was amazing and very tart. I also had the white chocolate fox, which was tasty and unique as well, i believe the filling had mango and coriander. The star of the show for me though was the giant donut hazelnut eclair thing (sorry don't know the exact name). It was to DIE for. Full of different textures: crunch from the pastry and the candied nuts contrast the soft smooth texture of the hazelnut filling. I was amazed by the attention to detail and the perfection of all the different pastry/baking techniques that go into each pastry they serve. Would highly recommend!

50. The magical number is 50. That's the number of millesfeuilles are made to order at this truly special vienoisserie and patisserie. So, if you come late evening, you're likely out of luck. And will miss out on the Madagascar Vanilla buckwheat millefeuille that's a real work of craftsmanship. But, no worries: there's hardly a false note in any of the creations of this master patissier. There's often more than one quality patisserie in each neighborhood, but minimalist yet elegant Patisserie Yann Couvreur is definitely a fantastic establishment for the 10th arrondissement with an array of exceptional items. Quality croissants. AMAZING roules (rose praline being my absolute favorite in the genre!). An excellent, Chocolate Tonka éclair, airy filling playing equally to both chocolate and tonka bean, crisp shell, unique shape with its precise angles... you couldn't think of a better chocolate éclair. There was an excellent, moist mini pistachio cake as well as a superb chocolate sable cookie... I've never understood people who confuse desserts for being "a sugar fix". You've only got to visit top quality patisseries like Yann Couvreur to understand that sugar is often a subordinate ingredient to all the elements. Instead, what you see beyond a skillful dosing of sugar, is the contrast between notes of acidity, subtle creaminess, artful play between soft and crunchy textures - executed better in no pastry than the Citron tart which features perfect proportions of dough, cream, and meringue. Fresh, acidic, airy, you will be hard pressed to find a better citron tart - knowing fully well that you'll find this pastry in every single patisserie in Paris.

Delicious! I've been following them on Instagram for quite some time, so I was happy to find time for a snack there. It's not a fancy location, but the staff was nice and my pastry was fantastic.

Tarte Citron €4.80 Heaven! Meringue soft and not too sweet. Melts in mouth. Lemon cream is soft taste and biscuit thine crunchy. Gorgeous.

Nice and modern, clean and quick service. Desserts drop dead delicious. An explosion of flavour and wonders.

We went on a hunt for this place based on Instagram feeds... I have to say I was a little disappointed with the 'chain-like' feel of the decor. The service was good, still felt a bit like I was in a Starbucks or somewhere similar though. The coffee was so-so but the lemon meringue tart and eclair were AMAZING. So, what the ambience and decor lacked was definitely made up in the taste and presentation of the pastries. The fig tart looked and sounded amazing but was the least fav of ours out of the three.. However, it could've been because we had the lemon one first... Which would've blown our minds so ol'fig had no chance.

Angelina, Paris, France -- April 12…read more Our family of four with kids ages 9 and 10 stopped here for lunch after visiting the Louvre, drawn in by its reputation for having the best hot chocolate in the world. We were looking for a place to relax and refuel, and the experience felt a bit mixed overall. Arrival and First Impressions The space is elegant with classic Parisian charm. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. The Challenges The biggest drawback was the price. The meal felt expensive for what we ordered, coming in at €154 for a fairly simple lunch. Service felt slightly rushed as they moved tables along quickly. Final Thoughts We would likely return if we were nearby and specifically craving the hot chocolate again. It is a classic Paris stop and worth trying once, but the value may not justify going out of your way unless that signature experience is high on your list.

It really tastes like melted chocolate with a bit of milk mixed in to make it more drinkable. We went at a bit of an off time, late morning and it wasn't overly busy. We saw our server once and I couldn't recall who he was when it came time to get the bill. I asked a hostess walking by for our check and she told me to ask our server while walking away. We were able to flag another server down eventually but the whole process just took too long. The tables for four have chairs that don't quite tuck in causing for a bit awkward seating. If you like really thick hot chocolate, give it a try but otherwise ok to miss this one. Plenty of good hot chocolate throughout the city.

The portion sizes were excellent for the price. I was expecting smaller portions, so I was pleasantly surprised when my plate came out packed with food and definitely worth the value. I had a mimosa also which was 20 euros (too much). There is a long wait for a table at Carette as it's become very popular thanks to Tik Tok and IG. We stood in light for about 30 minutes. The staff does a great job of keeping things moving as quickly as possible, but they can only do so much as people are relaxed while enjoying their hot chocolate and treats. We noticed several tables around us getting strawberries and cream which looked amanzing but the price of this was not listed anywhere in the menu so we opted to not be sticker shocked any further (a-hem 20 euros for one glass of mimosa). Ultimately, Carette offers delicious hot chocolate and it's great to say that you went there, but I can't imagine having hot chocolate in 90 degree farenheit weather outside, after standing in line for 30 minutes, but do you boo! When in Paris...

She told me I needed to get the pain au chocolat as they tend to run out. I got myself the ham and tomato thing as well as a big log covered in chocolate. I ate what I got on my flight back to LA. Upon entering the bakery, I was greeted by the aroma of butter and the sight of neat rows of fresh pastries. I really wanted to try one of everything, but I was determined to try the pain au chocolat, a personal favorite. Le Grenier a Pain's pain au chocolat was much larger and heartier than others I've tried yet retained its buttery-flakiness without feeling too heavy. I really enjoyed the pillowy texture of the pain au chocolat, which included a generous amount of chocolate folded inside. Paired with a cafe au lait, I was in heaven. The bakery is small yet inviting, and there was no seating indoors or outdoors. While I was hoping to enjoy my pastry on-the-go, it started pouring outside, so I was forced to huddle underneath the awning while I consumed my pain au chocolat. While I'd definitley come back for another pain au chocolat, I would also want to sample their savory pastries on my next visit.

We sat on the second floor but there is seating in the passage way as well. They do have wine in addition to coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. We tried the pistachio tart, the acrulier (like a fancier Ferrero rocher) and Kalingo (a chocolate cake). I had the gunpowder green tea while my sister had the hot chocolate. I honestly liked their hot chocolate more than the one at Angelina. It was rich but not chalky and the perfect amount of sweetness. The pistachio tart was the best one we've ever had and revived our spirits after a long day of walking. You pay downstairs and credit cards are accepted.
