    The egg tarts!
    Karys J.

Cute little Portuguese egg tart shop! I went in, and was greeted by friendly service. Attempted some French, and then resorted back to English. The guy working there told me he spoke like 5 different languages! Very impressive. The egg tarts were great! They put some cinnamon on top, and it makes the tarts even tastier. There is very very limited spacing (maybe 1-2 seats max) but it seems people usually get them to go. Would love to go back when I'm back in Paris.

The best pastéis de nata in the city, coffee was amazing too. Great service with great staff. A great afternoon.

Not even close to the ones in Portugal

Anyone who thinks these portugese tarts are comparable to the ones in Portugal are insane. The tart here are NOTHING like the real ones you eat in Lisbon. I understand if you've never been, then you don't know any better. But if you have, then you are clearly delusional to think Comme a Lisbonne taste anything even close to ones that are actually good. Maybe it's because you also had crap ones while you were in Portugal. Pasteis de belem and Manteigaria are the best of the best in Lisbon. I have done my research and tested several in the city so you don't have to. If you get a chance to go and try them for yourself - you're welcome :) A real pasteis de nata is incredibly flaky and the light custard oozes out of the tart with one bite. The ones at this place are NOT like that at all. DO NOT COME HERE.

Good coffee. Small selection of pastries when we visited but they were so so so so delicious! And the service was excellent.

Their pasteis de nata being fresh from the oven makes it so special, at a reasonable price too!

Angelina, Paris, France -- April 12…read more Our family of four with kids ages 9 and 10 stopped here for lunch after visiting the Louvre, drawn in by its reputation for having the best hot chocolate in the world. We were looking for a place to relax and refuel, and the experience felt a bit mixed overall. Arrival and First Impressions The space is elegant with classic Parisian charm. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. The Challenges The biggest drawback was the price. The meal felt expensive for what we ordered, coming in at €154 for a fairly simple lunch. Service felt slightly rushed as they moved tables along quickly. Final Thoughts We would likely return if we were nearby and specifically craving the hot chocolate again. It is a classic Paris stop and worth trying once, but the value may not justify going out of your way unless that signature experience is high on your list.

So Angelina's fine. For me, it's a bit hyped up. My sister, loved it. She even bought their…read moreprepackaged bottle of hot chocolate to take home. This hot chocolate is decadent. It really tastes like melted chocolate with a bit of milk mixed in to make it more drinkable. We went at a bit of an off time, late morning and it wasn't overly busy. We saw our server once and I couldn't recall who he was when it came time to get the bill. I asked a hostess walking by for our check and she told me to ask our server while walking away. We were able to flag another server down eventually but the whole process just took too long. The tables for four have chairs that don't quite tuck in causing for a bit awkward seating. If you like really thick hot chocolate, give it a try but otherwise ok to miss this one. Plenty of good hot chocolate throughout the city.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more+ Notre Dame Granny Smith Apple Confit - Was refreshing! I couldn't tell if this was a real apple or some fancy French creation made to look like one - that's how real it looked! The mousse and apple bits were cold & delicious and the chocolate shell was good, but not sure if it was worth the price at €7.5. + Pain Au Chocolat Cookie - Verrrry good chocolate chip cookie, chocolate croissant mashup. Only thing that we were missing was some good ol' milk! + Almond Croissant - Once again, delicious! Solid croissant and definitely a good grab and go candidate. = Citronnade - Was just OK. Lemonade that was on the watered down side, but was somewhat refreshing because I was dying of thirst. THE SERVICE ----------------------- - Employee who helped us with our order was friendly, but the cashier was a bit blah and not exactly the friendliest person, especially when we asked for extra utensils and napkins. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ - Smallish, tight interior that you can dine in at, but don't be surprised if the next table is sitting on top of you. + There are also 5 outdoor tables on the narrow street. - Entrance is tight too. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- + Even though this bakery is ranked highly on Tripadvisor, there was no crowd on the Monday morning that we swung by. Line moved superfast.
