I wish to bestow upon the New York Yankees Organization, the Dubious Honor of First Place where Eddie ever got turned away at a public place or event. In a few days, I will be celebrating my 71st birthday with many happy memories of concerts, political events, town meetings, ball parks and large church gatherings. In my professional work capacity, I was always welcome for in house and customer functions that necessitated the most appropriate demeanor that the Wall Street environment expected. The successful run that I have enjoyed for so many years was rudely interrupted by the NYY security staff on said date and event. My first choice in the matter would be to file a Harassment Complaint with the City of New York Police Department; but for reason that the logistics and for personal safety concerns, I will not be pursuing this route. As far as I am concerned, your stadium, personnel and location do not belong in the category of "on the other side of the river"; rather, the "other side of the tracks." As an alternative, I am writing to you as a courtesy with a view towards corrective action on behalf of patrons of your ballpark. The purpose of my attendance this past Saturday was a gathering of friends and family celebrating a milestone 40th Birthday. Earlier that morning, the smooth transfer of tickets between the host and myself did not go smoothly, for reason of bungling proprietary software provided by your vendor, Ticketmaster. The software was not synchronizing between the mobile and personal computer's contents of my sole Ticketmaster account; this compelled assistance at the ballpark ticket window. Moments later, I cleared the security detail, the mobile ticket was processed for entry and a crazed security staffer in uniform alarmingly halted my entry into the ballpark rudely announcing of "You're Not Going in There with That." Civilly, I protested the objection towards my camera gear consisting of: a fixed lens, weather resistant point and shoot camera, plastic camera body, colored orange, model Nikon AW100; a harmless, three (3) ounce "pistol" grip made of plastic, rounded on all edges; a lanyard of a resin vendor. I demonstrated there was no need for panic, as I tapped my head several times with the "controversial" handle. The flustered security attendant appeared enraged when I tapped her wrist with the handle, incorrectly perceived as lethal. Admittedly, I have a shaky hand and a bottom mounted hand grip is an assist for taking photos; as well as a social courtesy of not jamming my left elbow in someone's face while taking photos. The "tucked in" elbows technique has worked well in many places like Madison Square Garden, various Performing Arts Centers in New Jersey, minor league ballparks and other events where patrons sit shoulder to shoulder. In bad faith and for dubious reasons, all unknown, I was ejected from Yankee Stadium with no recourse. This malevolent demeanor exercised by the New York Yankees Organization inflicted unnecessary bollocks upon this innocent patron and ceaseless embarrassment to the hosts of our party. Clearly, there needs to be major adjustments by the New York Yankees Organization when dealing with customers seeking a memorable day at the ballpark. In the situation outlined above, a lasting and very negative opinion of the New York Yankees Organization will remain with me. It is my sincerest hope and desire that repeat episodes will not be inflicted upon other innocent patrons with the type of maltreatment described herein. Furthermore, in the absence of posted signs about the Yankees Stadium Complex, for the purpose of advising patrons of the Do's and Don'ts a/k/a "house rules," the entirely subjective decision to oust a patron does infringe upon the Federal and State Civil Rights of an individual and warrants criminal prosecution upon the New York Yankees Organization. While on vacation to New York, a must stop on my list was to catch a game at Yankee Stadium. Getting to the game was about a 25 minute ride by subway from Midtown. Stadium is conveniently located right off the subway. Lots of bars to grab a drink out before the game if you arrive there early. Attended a Thursday night game and had no issues with long lines, crowds or getting through security. Ballpark is new, had no complaints on the drinks or food, and enjoyed walking around the stadium and hitting up the team store for a souvenir. Amazing ball park. If you're visiting for the first time here's some info that may be useful. 1) food wise I'd recommend the 99 Burger and the steak topped fries. We also got two milkshakes to end the night. They're nothing special flavor wise but they're sure cute. 2) if you need to charge your phone you can plug it your cord (usb) into any of the standing bars on Toyota Terrace. Guest services was completely useless in helping find a way to charge my phone--so Google came through for me on this one. If you have an outlet some security may let you plug into the outlets behind each section. But if you only have a cord then Toyota Terrace is your best bet. 3) It's 1000% worth the extra $$ to add a pregame tour to your ticket. It's only about $48 more per ticket (if I remember right) and it allows you to enter the ballpark early. I'd recommend the earliest time slot available so you have plenty of time to look at the Yankee Museum and Monument Park then make it for batting practice. If you do the latest time then you'll likely miss Yankee BP. The food and shops are closed until 5:30, so just enjoy the museum and monument park and BP then get food and merchandise and enjoy some baseball. 4) when you're leaving the ballpark and you need to call a Lyft/Uber/etc. first wait inside the ballpark as long as you can. Take pics, go to the bathroom, whatever. Let the rush die down a little. No cars will be able to get close to the stadium because the roads are closed. We waited a while for a Lyft and in the end had to backtrack from where people told us to go to get picked up. The Bronx is kind of sketchy, especially at 10:30 at night, so if you can get picked up on the corner of 161 street at Macombs Dam Bridge (west of Gate 6 on the corner), that's your easiest (and maybe safest) bet. This was my fifth time visiting Yankee Stadium with my grandfather, a lifelong Yankees fan. I felt honored to have impacted his life by inviting him and giving him the chance to witness a game in person. It was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever. I recommend arriving early to give yourself enough time to find parking, locate the gate, and get to your seats. If you enjoy grabbing snacks and drinks, it's best to do so before the game starts, as the lines get very busy. However, the employees are well-trained and efficient, so orders are handled quickly. Of all the stadiums that the Yankees play in, this is provably the one they play at the most so it's a pretty good place to go if you want to see a Yankees game. Outside are long lines so you probably want to arrive at least a half hour before the first pitch and even earlier than that if it's a game with some giveaway item that everyone will want. You can bring in your own food within reason but no alcohol or open water containers or round throwable fruits unless they've been cut into segments. Inside are many overpriced and mostly terrible food vendors. The anathans hotdogs are probably the best choice. The Benihana sucks. The Sabrett's hotdogs are fine but not as good as the Nathans. There are multiple levels and you can spend between $10 and $3000 on a ticket depending on where you sit. For my money the best seats are between 118 and 114. You can see the batter, the pitcher and first base well from there. At the center if the stadium is the greenest field you ever saw and the beat and most highly paid athletes to ever walk the Earth practicing their craft. Yankees Stadium is one of the best things this city has. We've got the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park, Yankees Stadium. Three great things. Even if you don't know if you like baseball, come see a game. The spectacle alone will make you feel something. read more

Met fan that is giving credit where it's due to the Bronx Bombers and their stadium. The Stadium even in its newer 2009 form is a well-known, fixture of NYC boasting a slightly less capacity than its previous incarnation at a little over 50,000 seats. It does however boast more luxury suites/seats for the elites and celebrities whom probably frequent the Stadium. Yankee Stadium is they may just be the most well-known stadium in America, this being due to it literally being named after the team itself, rather than a company or sponsor and its opening in 1923 ushered arguably the start of baseball's greatest dynasty. According to MLB.com, with careful monitoring and high efficiency plumbing fixtures, Yankee Stadium saves more than 3 million gallons of water each year, a reduction of 22 percent from water use prior to 2009 with the Old Yankee Stadium. It's been quite some time since I've visited, but I've always enjoyed the relative ease of getting there. I've had the pleasure of going before and after it's renovation. Perhaps one day a return is in order. Even though I'm not a fan, I do like baseball, and I do like architecture. read more

I have been meaning to visit the new Yankee Stadium after it was built in 2009, but never got around to it. I finally got a chance to check it out. Ambience - this is a very modern stadium. From an architectural and ambience standpoint, it is on par with Citi Field, but falls a little short of Oracle Park (SF Giants). Some of the highlights: elevators that take you up and down instead of the tiring ramps and stairs you find in most other parks. Audi Club ... for those who want a panoramic view of the game while eating a buffet. Food - a notch above the average hot dogs and chicken tenders. We were able to get: Streetbird's Hot Bird Sandwich. A spicy fried chicken thigh sandwich? My hopes were set up to get disappointed. The sandwich tasted more like dry white meat that was over seasoned with old bay powder. 3/5 Bacon on a stick - a little taste of heaven. Savory grilled slab of bacon on a stick 5/5 Ice cream sundae - rainbow cake on a sundae. Smiles all around 5/5 Garlic Fries - should be named garlic "flavored" fries. The Delta Sky 360 Suite is an amazing upgrade for a reasonable cost. You enter through a private suite entrance and into a private elevator that takes you up to the Suite. Once there you are issued a wrist band for re entry. The reserved seating is nicely padded with fantastic unobstructed views behind home plate. Plenty of amenities including water bottles, coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn and peanuts. Spotless clean private suite bathrooms as well as a full bar area and food concessions. Never feels crowded. I have never been a Yankees fan let alone a baseball fan until I met the love of my life that's one of the biggest Yankee fans I know! I now have been coming for 3years and enjoy each time in rain or sweat lol! Everytime I go I must always purchase a new hat or shirt and I love wearing a cute new outfit! I love the chicken tender/fries bucket & their frozen strawberry daiquiris! I would suggest to pack light and bring unopened bottles of water just to save a bit of $. I love the atmosphere and always getting to sit in a diff part of the stadium. I have also gone there for the Bad Bunny concert in Aug 2022 & the 50years of HipHop concert in Aug 2023. My coworker had some extra tickets so my husband and I went. The seats were awesome. The stadium is huge but wasn't too crowded, which I was grateful for. Ordering food was easy, as was the beer. Be mindful of the prices. I think my only real complaint is the tickets. Mine were digital and I had some difficulty having them scanned. The excitement is multiplied considerably when you factor in 27 world series championships and having Hall of fame Yankee inductees like Babe Ruth, Joe Dimaggio, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gehrig and more recently Marianno Rivera and Derek Jeter who had donned the pinstripes. The sheer history makes coming to the ballpark special. Arrive when the gates first open and visit monument park and the museum. Hungry? Food options are pretty typical, hot dogs, burgers, chicken tenders, ice cream......... If you have club access to the Pepsi lounge and Audi Club, expect to pay a premium for mostly ballpark food. They do have higher end restaurants located inside. Try booking a stadium tour during off season to see different parts of the ballpark and hear the rich history of the franchise and the logistics in what it takes to run a Major league ballpark, it's pretty amazing! TIP- You can bring up to a 20 ounce bottle of water unopened. This can save you a little money. Don't freeze the bottle solid, they won't let you bring it in. Getting here from the other boroughs via mass transit is not bad, but driving here is a real chore and parking is hella expensive! You really have to be a dedicated fan to sit in traffic to get here to see a game, but the dedicated fans are here and the stadium is always filled to capacity. Leave early to get here! Baseball is a great past time game and the Yankees rich history makes coming here worth the hassle and expense. The energy here is amazing as are the Yankee faithful. This was a 60th Birthday treat for my husband. We purchased our tickets well in advance because we wanted to get the best seats we could afford. Mission accomplished! We got to the stadium with plenty of time for lines and people watching. What an experience indeed. People were so friendly in line and the crowd was filled with excitement. It is a beautiful stadium. When we were finally able to enter, we were just in awe. What a great place and the pride of the fans really shines. We found our seats and they were perfect! Great views and amazing how we could see everything. We ordered beverages and the lines were quick and if you had Apple Pay it made it even easier. Food was good and there was a variety from Nathan dogs, to peanuts, fries, burgers and more. The beverages included beer and seltzers and also craft brews for those who like the local flair. There were concessions for Yankee shirts, hats and other items all around the stadium. It was really neat to see Aaron Judge #99. Although they did not win, it was a win for us to just be there! If you want to talk about classic...it's a baseball game at Yankee Stadium. And make it better and more exciting by having it be against the Boston Red Sox! Went to the stadium last Friday for a game and I had an amazing time. Although the process to get into the stadium is a little bit confusing as there was not much of an order to get in and just people flocking to gates. There was an entrance that was only for people with Clear and just happened to be on that line not knowing that. But eventually made our way in and went through security. We were sitting up in the 400s but the view was great!! There is a variety of food and drinks and alcohol in the 300s section. It was such an exciting game even though the Yankees lost. It was one of those games that you sit at the edge of your seat. Overall the stadium was fairly clean and there is a large variety of food and of course the classic baseball food--peanuts and Cracker Jack. Parking is plentiful as there are pay lots everywhere. You can also download an app and pay head for some of the lots. I definitely want to come back again for another home game. Go Yankees! read more

When I tell y'all my partner and I had a whole ass food tour during the game would y'all believe me? Well believe it because that's exactly what we did!! Got there early so we got beach towels, the gate people were NOT at all prepared. This girl was taking each towel out of a plastic bag at the same rate grass grown. LOTS of angry New Yorkers around. I felt bad. Thankfully someone came over and started taking them off for her. The Stadium store is beautiful. Huge, lots of options, great layout, etc. I was able to find a small lego figurine for my 7 year old my partner got his beloved shot glass. As Chicago Cubs fans we PROUDLY wore our Anthony Rizzo Jerseys. We started off with some beers and a burger, tried to order a chicken bucket through uber eats (DONT DO THIS!!! it took us almost 2 hours to get our order even though it was ready!!), then headed to get chicken bowls and of course finished off with dessert!! Yankee Stadium is honestly such an experience, even if you don't care about baseball that much. The moment you walk in, the energy feels huge, like the whole stadium has its own heartbeat that you can hear in the crowd. Security lines weren't bad as one would expect, the staff was actually nice, and the place feels way cleaner than you'd expect with thousands of people running around. Once you sit down, the view is insane. It doesn't matter if you're high up or closer to the field, everything is clear, and when the crowd cheers, it gets loud, lively, and lowkey electric. Food is expensive (like, painfully expensive), but that's every stadium. The chicken buckets and fries are actually good though, not the cardboard stuff you'd expect.And honestly, can you really complain about prices when the whole place feels like a giant moment you can't get anywhere else? I really loved my first experience at Yankee Stadium! The ambience is unbeatable, even up in the nosebleeds where I was sitting. It's a great place to hang out with friends or family and just soak in the vibes. The only issues I ran into are the lines getting in since I didn't arrive early enough, and, of course, the food is insanely overpriced. I spent $25 on a hot dog, some fries, and a water bottle. We got last minute tickets on stubhub for the game with the LA Angels (Shohei and Mike Trout fans!). Our tickets were in section 117 (great views!!!). Our tickets also had pepsi lounge access. I suggest trying to get last minute tickets for great seats (if you can) cuz otherwise you are just in the nosebleed sections for $47. The tickets we got were around $100 for a great section. We got there around 5:45pm and there were a decent amt of people there. Around 6pm they start letting people into the stadium and the game started at 7:05pm. Since we got there early (highly recommend), we went to the pepsi lounge. The pepsi lounge was a great experience, they serve food and drinks there (no lines) and there are tables to sit at. Great views as well! I got the chicken tenders and fries - delicious! Overall it was a great experience since we had pretty decent seats! The drinks and food are pretty pricey but it's NY ...so I wasn't surprised. $18-20 for a cocktail- it comes with a souvenir Yankees cup tho (which I brought home of course). I think if you eat and drink before then you prob won't spend money in here or just get a beer. They have nathans hot dog, benihana, etc...bunch of food options. Be sure you know your seat number and row because some people don't sit in their seats and you have to let them know that they are in your seat! We took the subway to get here, the stop is on the 4 train and is called 161 st- yankees stadium so you can't miss it. There were a lot of people taking the train there too. We left around 7th inning to avoid the mass exodus when the game ended, had no issues getting on the train. The area itself is in the bronx but the train station is located right across the stadium so it is easy to get in and get out. I would not recommend wondering outside the stadium at night unless you know where you are going. read more

The best thing about Yankee Stadium is definitely the atmosphere, which makes it a must-visit for baseball fans. The original field is still there but there are some beggars outside the stadium too. NYY Steakhouse and Hard Rock Cafe are open to everyone. The concessions are on par with Citi Field nowadays but with shorter lines. Thankfully the seating doesn't really have any major obstructions. The added safety netting thankfully wasn't overdone. The bleachers unfortunately have no backrest. You can stand in the outfield or foul poles with a Pinstripe Pass. The staff is some of that most courteous professionals I've encountered in MLB. This place is pretty expensive but well done. Overall this might be the fanciest stadium on MLB. The field and sightlines are inadequate for Nycfc games. But they'll be leaving soon. read more

Finally had a chance to go to Yankee Stadium on my most recent trip. I love stadiums that are easily accessible by transit, and this one's probably top 3 for that. A big positive here was that I love the views. Even from the 200s left-centre field I was able to see the entire field. For a Yankees-Red Sox game, the price was reasonable at $50 in the 200s. I know they suck right now, but still. Security was really slow here. We arrived at 6:45, and didn't get inside until around 7:20, so we missed the first inning. There were also people in our seats, so we had to shoo them out. Apparently they had others in their assigned seats, so it took a while to reorganize ourselves and determine where our actual seats were. Food options were decent, but goddamn the prices...I was told to get a chicken bucket, and that ran almost $30 with a drink. I'm Canadian too, so the conversion really hurt me! Overall though we had a decent time. The organization leaving the stadium and into the subways was efficient, they didn't allow anyone in the platforms until the previous train leaves, to prevent overcrowding. A decent stadium, with great views, overpriced food choices and disorganized security is the best way for me to describe Yankee Stadium. read more

One of the most iconic venues in baseball, and it lived up to my high expectations. Even though the Yankees aren't my team, there's so much history that's part of the club, and I felt like the stadium honors the legacy of the players and people who build the Yankees into the powerful franchise that it is. It's hard not to walk away awestruck after seeing your first game here. My only negative note about the stadium is how slow the entrance process is. We waited in line for more than 30 minutes just to get through the metal detector, and the line at Gate 6 looked to be even longer. If there is a way the Yankees can speed up their security process while still keeping everyone safe, Yankee Stadium would easily get a 5-star review from me. read more
