    This may be a long one, buckle up. We were in a jam with a leak behind our shower and so we were pinched for a timely repair. We didn't have much time to shop around or to wait for a more affordable general contractor to be able to come out to do the work. We agreed to a contract with Yankee Home Improvment for $19K, and they said they could be here within a week to get started. Commericals rave about "ALWAYS DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! NEVER CADDYWAMPUS!". Let me tell you the story how we now have a $19K shower that is still a bit Caddywampus after the not first, not 2nd, not 3rd.... but 6th time. Pros: -Quick -(thats about it) Cons: -Leaked -Smelled -Caulk has separated from wall within less than 3 months and proper care/cleaning on our part The day they came to do the shower install went good at first. They were moving at a great pace! There were 2 gentlemen working in the bathroom doing the demo/install and at some point a plumber stop in to do all of the plumbing work. He left before the bathroom shower/tub install was complete as his work was done. He NEVER tested his work, so when the 2 gentlemen doing the install wrapped the project up at the end of the day (I must be in the wrong business if a $19K job is done in one day btw! lol), they turned the shower on and it leaked all over into our basement and all over our firewood. Not the end of the world - it dries. The 2 install gentlemen "fixed" the plumbers work and the next day it was leaking. We called and they sent someone out timely - I believe this 2nd visit (3rd attempt at getting it done right) they re-leveled the plumbing/p-trap. That gentleman left and after work I went in the basement to look at the work and it was leaking. Here we are at 4th attempt, 3rd visit - no longer leaking but smells HORRID! (Turns out someone messed up the vent pipe and so septic gas was leaking into our house, stinking the whole place up. Brings us to the 4th visit, 5th attempt to fix it - no idea exactly what he did but left and following few days still STINKS. Call AGAIN and they tell me it has something to do with the washer and dryer. HUH?! the washer and dryer are across the basement, not in the bathroom or tied into the plumbing they worked on and never been an issue. That would be one HECK of a coincidence! Here we are at 6th attempt to fix it, 5th visit, they have now FINALLY sent their "Master Plumber" - He says WTH did they say anything about the washer and dryer?! And laughs it off. (Honestly feel like at that point they were trying to blame something existing in our home vs. standing by their work and its issues). After Master Plumber totally redoes the plumbing, admits it was the vent pipe and leaves (we are now a month and a half into our "new" $19K shower), we FINALLY have a shower that doesn't make our whole house smell like sh*t or leak. Phew! Here we are not even 3 months into our new shower and I look down today and the caulk or whatever material is used to adhere the wall of the shower to the tub part, has complete peeled itself back and if coming off. I don't have it in me for one more phone call or one more visit to fix their shotty work. Mind you, for all of this I did politely let them know I would be looking for some sort of monetary compensation for all of the hassle and smelling sh*t for a month in my house. You know what the BEST they could offer was on our $19,000 shower? A $200 Amazon Gift Card. I tried hard to refrain from this review and gave plenty of chances but this wall separating was just the last straw. For what we paid we shouldn't have had these issues once, nevermind 6 now 7 issues in less than 3 months so I wanted to fairly share our experience.!

    We absolutely love our walk in shower. It's so classy looking and easy to clean. The contractor's were very professional and kept me involved in the process. I would totally recommend them for your bath remodel. ​

    Had a rep named Timothy Robbin's come to are home today and basically told me cost for a simple tub to walking shower conversion would start at $12,000 $20,000 or more I was ready to spent and get for near $3,000-$6,000 he said no .They don't do that work for cheap I show a pic of are shower as a comparison to yours which is the normal home size and was told over $12,000 by this guy

    I have nothing but good things to say about Yankee Home Improvement. They did a wonderful job installing my new shower, Kerri was NOT a high pressure sales person and we trusted what she was telling us. We decide to go with Yankee Home and couldn't have been happier with the end results. I would highly recommend them. Marc and Jess were here exactly when they said they would be here and worked non-stop. They were polite and completely cleaned up after themselves before they left. I would definitely hire Yankee Home again. Yankee Home may not have been the cheapest but I believe you get what you pay for and I would gladly trust Yankee Home Improvement in my home again. I feel they were the right decision for me.

All the shingles needed to be removed, old gutter, etc. I chose this company because of their long years in the community doing home improvements. A young man came out and we went over what needed to be done. A quote was sent to me, and date to start noted. They stripped the house shingles and took gutters off and began insulating, installing new siding and a vendor of theirs created and installed new gutters. Shutters for 3 windows were installed ( ordered 6 sets but their supplier only had 3). the house looked beautiful after the work was done, and they finished about week late but in time for me to attend to a medical matter. Later that year (2020) my handyman noted that the new gutters he was trying to clean of leaves, had a tighter access area as the roof overhung the gutters now by 3". Not a problem ever before. I consulted a roofer who climbed up looked at it and measured the roof shingles overhanging roof to 3-3 1/2". I called Al Beaulieu to advise and sent photos so that he could see the issue. I said this needs to be fixed. He said your roofer did a bad job, we are not responsible. I said I bought the house with the new roof on it, so have no relationship with that roofer. I said I should have been made aware that the roof will overhang the gutters 3+ inches BEFORE the gutters were put on... I would have upgraded to 6" gutters to accommodate. I spent almost $20,000 with Beaulieu on this job and I have no additional funds to repair this and I should not have to bear the cost of correcting the gutter job they did. He refuses to upgrade the gutter at his expense. I did not read previous reviews on YELP about Beaulieu and am sorry I did not. I thought they had years of experience and a good reputation. I strongly advise going elsewhere.

    Chose windows with sales rep who gave us contact info of 3 contractors. Mentioned she found them…read moreby seeing their trucks around town etc. At no point did she ever offer us an "installed by Pella Quote". Installation began mid Nov. At one point I heard a circular saw, they were trimming headers & sills because the windows were too big for the rough openings. I found out they were cutting the rough openings bc most windows were too big. The foreman and I determined at one point when they were trying to put in the upstairs bath it belonged in the downstairs bath. Turns out all the windows were in the wrong holes. And then we found one of the windows was not even ours. They had to pull out all the windows & put them in the right holes. It was at this time I met with the contractor & sales & we noticed several warranty issues. The living room, 2 of the 4 window latches were loose because the screws were stripped. Sales took pictures & was supposed to investigate. We also noted the felt insulation was mangled on the same window & a sash in the bedroom had a gouge in it & a scratch on frame of 1 window. I know all the installation issues happened due to the installation crew I chose but this was the crew I was referred to by their rep while never being offered a quote from Pella which would have included labor if future issue were to arise. Late Nov, I call to see what is going on with the latches noted a month before. She said she sent the info to service dept & she could not look up the info or ticket number on it bc they didn't allow her to use the computer anymore. I got the phone # to service & called them, the manager was not available. I called next day & they were closed. 3rd day I talked to Manager, as he look up my case he found it & said the ticket for the latches was just opened two days prior by the store. So, Sales realized they never did do anything about it. Had they done it in the beginning the replacement window would have been here with the correct window for the bathroom & I could have had it swapped out by the contractor while he was here. Servic scheduled a tech to come look at the latches. 2 weeks later, tech got here he said it was a manufacturing defect & said he could do a temp fix by putting in a wood dowel in the hole. Said it might/might not last & I had the option to swap out the fixed panel of the 3 panel assembly . A permanent fix is better than a jury-rig & opted for that. He opened a ticket. About a month went by & I reached out to Service to see what was going on & he said he was waiting for an answer from someone as to fix. So, I waited yet another month & called & he said that he was sending out 2 technicians to do the repair & he would have them bring the sash & paint & felt with them. The 2 technicians arrived & I asked about the plan, & they said "huh?". The agreed they were clueless as to why 2 techs had been dispatched since they had no plan. They came in & inspected the front window again. Both agreed the latch issues were a manufacturing defect & took a bunch of pictures again. At this point they tell me the center stationary window is not removeable & the whole unit would need to be replaced but it was covered parts & labor so not to worry. After 2 weeks, service said the new unit was to arrive on 4/22 & I would need to be here to sign for it. I replied: since it was covered parts & labor, that it would be nice to schedule his guys to put it in the day it arrived. He replied: only removeable parts & simple repairs are covered by that warranty & this situation was therefore not covered. He went on to say that if I got a quote, they would submit it to Pella for consideration & that at times they make full or partial coverage. I requested for Pella to do the reinstall so that I could be sure it got done right but they refused do the reinstallation. I got a quote & sent it, it was 450.00, he submitted it. I got an email saying that Pella had agreed to 1/2 the cost. I still felt that due to all the issue I've had with this project I wanted to pursue the full reimbursement so I emailed Servce as such on 4/10 but he did not respond. I called Pella customer service & shared this story. She put me on hold while she discussed with her manager & called Servic to discuss. She returned she said that Pella Corporate will only ever cover 50% & that the franchisee would have to cover the other 50% at their discretion. Yet service led me She said Service was going to call me but they never did. So, what I see from my perspective is that I have done absolutely nothing wrong but am being stuck with 1/2 the bill to remove & replace a unit at my expense that arrived defective. I contacted socialmedia@pella.com 2X before posting this review to avoid having to put yet another 1 star review. They never responded. Pella of Boylston & Pella of Springfield I discovered are both owned by same person and share the same email address to respond to reveiws

    Unethical behavior of the staff from sales to installation supported by crude manager. Gave them…read more20k business. They pushed prices after negotiations, got the contract signed in cheeky manner with higher amount than what was agreed with the sales staff and approved by MassSave. No change order produced -- sent a letter stating that I should get the inspection from the Town whereas they were the contractor and Pella holds responsibility for any liability as per Mass Law and get their work cleared from the Town. Finally, the letterhead sent by installation department had a phone number 413-739-9239 which has already been disconnected. Highly unprofessional culture deeply rooted in lower level sales staff, installation staff and management. Here is the kicker -- installation team arrived at 8 am on the day of installation without informing the timing (despite a reminder I sent and asked for the time to kickoff) that disturbed the tenants and finally left black nails bare on the window frames. I will strongly recommend to find another vendor who has ok product but good service rather than going for good product and slimy staff to deal with. I am considering a legal action and report to BBB.

The salesperson that came to my house spent most of his time discussing the technology of various types of roofing rather than trying to sell me something. Ended up giving me an excellent price quote and accommodated some special time restraints that I had. The installation (roof, extra large covered gutters and downspouts) was very quick and the crew were very professional and polite. Cleanup was excellent. I was so pleased with the roof installation that I had Nescor back to install some new windows in the basement and garage which were not replaced when new windows were installed in the house a few years earlier. The price was again excellent when compared to some estimates that I had gotten. The installation crew was again very professional and polite, and cleanup was great. With my previous positive experiences I again called Nescor when I wanted to replace three entry doors to the house. Their price was again very competitive and I chose them. The doors were special ordered so there was a wait for them to be manufactured. The installation crew was as expected, professional, polite and excellent cleanup. There was a problem that developed during the first month after the installation with one of the storm doors and the sweep of one of the main doors. Adjustments were made to the storm door and a special sweep was ordered for the door with the problem which was installed when received. I also had a vapor barrier installed in the attic which has done an excellent job of stabilizing the temperature and humidity levels in the attic which contributes to the overall efficiency of the heating and cooling system of the house. I am very pleased with the service and prices for the work that Nescor has performed on my home. I would recommend them without reservation.
