Spicy Tuna Hand Roll...
Cosmo W.

I usually have god experiences here, but this visit was very lacking, in both the food and the service. I came with a group of 6 of us, we were quickly seated and given menus. We ordered Saké and Beer, and we all ordered the $34.95 AYCE. Our drinks came quickly and then we all put our first food orders in- and this is where it went downhill quickly. I ordered several items, as did everyone else. We had different servers taking orders and serving food, I got 3 of the 10 things I ordered and then nothing. The food was brought in haphazard fashion, we had to sort out who ordered what and we had NO help from the staff. Several of us only got a couple of the things we ordered, meanwhile, all the Sushi chefs we sitting around talking, and then finally after flagging down a server, we were told that our orders weren't put in, and we were told to reorder. When the food finally came, it was okay, but not as good as it used to be here. To be honest, if it wasn't for the camaraderie of our group of friends, I would've left. There are SO MANY Sushi places in Las Vegas, and if this place doesn't step it up and get their food and service back, there are many other choices.

We went to try out this AYCE sushi place for the first time. We were a group of 8, 4 of them very hungry teens and I will say we all had a blast!!! The price for the restaurant was very affordable. The teenagers ordered everyone on the menu!! The fish cuts were generous too and they don't load the sushi with rice to fill you up like other AYCE places. Everything tasted amazing and the service was great. The server had a blast watching the teens order and challenge themselves for more food. If you are in the Vegas area I HIGHLY recommend this spot! (They even have sweet shrimp my fav!!!)

Tiny nigiri

I did the 34.95 AYCE. Only 5 bucks difference. The specials for this option wasn't really that special though Because I wanted to try as much as I can, I skip any rolls. Just did alot of nigiri and all the limit 1 specials. I think the only thing that was worth it was the nigiri and the carpaccio. The deep fry spider crab and garlic shrimp was ok. The rest was not... Just soso. Would I recommend. I probably go for the 50 down the block at imperial Service was excellent. I tip $10. The kids all hustle.

Hamachi Kama

Was it the best sushi I ever had? No, but it is the best $34.95 AYCE sushi dinner I ever had! If you don't care for the more expensive items, you can even select option A for $28.95!! You do have limits on certain items like uni or scallops. Otherwise, you can order anything on the menu if you get the option B, and as many pieces you can consume. I was surprised to see hamachi kama (yellowtail collar) and lobster rolls on the menu! There are so many options for rolls and the few that we had ordered was delicious with made with very little rice, which I like! The fish was fresh and delicious. Service was great and attentive! You can order with any waiter that comes by your table. They all carry an ipad, so it was quick to put it the orders. Food also come out very quick as they have at least a dozen people making sushi and working in the kitchen. Oh, they have a projector playing anime for entertainment. That was cool! Parking is difficult because it's a very busy strip. We had to park at the next shopping strip across the street but it was worth it.

Palm Job Hand Roll

AYCE sushi for $35pp (children get discounts). Huge menu with a large selection of seafood, sushi, and cooked food as well. We paid for the premium option which gives us access to special items but a lot of them were not available. I liked the happy ending / happy rainbow rolls a lot. Palm job hand roll was also memorable and yummy. Okay service -- they forgot a lot of our order and brought things out pretty slowly and some waitstaff were a bit rude. Tons of seating inside and able to accommodate large groups. Got the raspberry mousse cake for dessert and I really liked it!

First time to this location located in the Chinatown Spring Mountain corridor having been to another located off the Vegas Strip. What we ordered was solid with the exception of the garlic edamame in which the garlic was pureed making the edamame mushy with poor presentation appeal. We enjoyed all the nigiri and rolls that we ordered with the exception of the Snow White roll. 5 stars for overall quality and service.

Baked Mussel
Christina M.

Never ever disappoints!! Best sushi in town. I recently found out you can order half rolls during all you can eat sushi!! This is so great as you get to try a larger variety of rolls! I was able to try so many news rolls this time.

Hot sake

I don't like going to all you can eat sushi place- and this place proved I was right. Rolls were bland and my ramen was blah. Drinks were ok. Multiple servers came to us it was confusing. Ambiance was loud and chaotic. 3 stars.

Lauren T.

We visited Yama in Chinatown, having previously enjoyed their former location on the Strip. While the sushi selection is solid, and the quality of the rolls we ordered was good, our overall experience left a lot to be desired. We don't do AYCE, so we noticed the rolls were a bit smaller than expected. We started with two rolls which came out quickly, but we wanted to order a third and unfortunately the service was extremely slow. There seemed to be plenty of staff walking around, but no one actually checking on our table. To add to the letdown, they had run out of Kirin Light--which was surprising for a sushi spot. While the food itself was decent, the lack of attentive service and the beer situation made the experience frustrating. Unfortunately, we don't think we'll be returning.

All you can eat is the way to go. This place is very good. The rolls are not packed with rice so you can try many different rolls. The spicy rolls are pretty hot so watch out. Potstickers - good Fried rice - good Mussels - very good Beef teriyaki -tender and good Calamari - ok Bacon wrapped shrimp - small but delicious Ordered many rolls and all were very good. See the receipt The service was average at times we had to wait a bit to order food. It was not too busy since we went early. The atmosphere was very good and we enjoyed the time in there. We will be back.

Sherica G.

Food is great...delicious. It gives a delighful workout to tastebuds. We concentrated with the "yellow" menu and got full, we did not get the chance to try the regular menu. Kitchen to table food delivery is just okay, there was a few times we waited a few minutes for our order. But the table service is good, staff were attentive.

Everything was delicious and came out quickly, I really like that compared to other AYCE sushi place they have a lot of other foods too, such as bread, korean galbi/other meats, skewers, etc. Items marked as 1A I believe you can only get once, and they are worth trying! I tried the Galbi and it was so tender and juicy. All the rolls tasted fresh and delicious, I love that you can order any of the 8 piece rolls in half orders so you can try even more out. Nothing mind blowing here, especially for being surrounded by the seafood offerings you'll find in Las Vegas. But good. You'll leave satisfied that you've had decent sushi and are full. The Cost: Unless you're eating 3-4 rolls per person, you're probably better off ordering individual rolls here instead of the AYCE special. Most of the options on the menu are on the heavier side, fried or heavy on the sauce. The SERVICE: They say there's a 90-minute time limit but they're not subtle about rushing the tables. Our waitress wasn't super pleasant but when we decided we wanted to finish our meal off with miso soup (instead of starting with it) she seemed annoyed and said, "I thought you were finished!" We told her we still wanted some miso, and were also going to have the Korean coffee for dessert. She didn't seem pleased. It was awkward for no reason. We hadn't been there for even 45 minutes, and hadn't ordered even close to what the AYCE pricing cost us vs what individual ordering would have cost (far less) The Ambiance: lovely. Chinatown is always a must visit when in Vegas. The restaurant itself is nice. All in all, it was fine. We wouldn't go back. It seems like a place that comes up on Yelp and a lot of people go because it's easy and seems popular. There's better sushi in Vegas by far. For the same or better pricing. But if you're a big eater, you might find it worth your while.

Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch. You don't need to go to the Strip for Ari yeah!…read more Ari Sushi & Izakaya is a very well-Yelped restaurant in the southwest. I've particularly seen buddies post about it on Instagram a lot, and I finally made my way out there since I found that it aligned with my mom's food craving. I went for the Ari Ari Combo ($29.00). It started with a little bowl of balanced miso soup and a tiny side salad with fresh greens and a simple sesame dressing, and was followed by six thin but delicious sashimi slices and four basic but also solid-quality nigiri. I would be more than happy to come back try to more of their raw fish any time. If that doesn't sound like enough for lunch, I did share other food items. The Garlic Edamame ($7.00) felt a little less salted than I expected but was a good portion and had plenty of both a garlic sauce and crispy garlic slivers. I also helped out with a Bento with 3 items ($25.00): bulgogi, mixed tempura, and spicy tuna roll. The bulgogi was tender but not strongly marinated enough and the spicy tuna roll felt pretty standard, but I did really enjoy the shrimp tempura and the veggie tempura pieces which I tried. They were super hot and crispy while being cooked perfectly inside, and the sauce was perfect. The music was relaxing and not played at a very high volume. The restaurant is a little more dim than I'd like and could benefit from overhead narrow-angle lights, but maybe the food was just that good that the lighting wasn't so important. The server was happy to refill my complimentary water with lemon as often as needed, as well as to add more water to the Hot Green Tea ($4.00). I did try some of the tea, and it was potent and low in bitterness. I'm pleased to report that Ari Sushi really does offer delicious sushi, enough so that I'll probably have to make more trips from Henderson to try more of their menu. If you want high quality mid-price-range sushi that's not in an all you can eat format, this is a great place to look.
