    Caprese Panini
    issa s.

I love the Caprese Panini from here! The size was of a sandwich is in picture, just enough to fill you up for a quick bite. Honestly for the price though, if you are hungry you might grab something more filling (might just have been my appetite at the time though so don't let my bias prevent you from trying this yummy sandwich especially if you don't want to go off campus.) Update: I actually came back. Despite my comment of it being a quick bite, I think it was because there was no meat in the caprese sandwich. After trying the Turkey Melt my eyes lit up at the amazing flavor and noticed how it actually filled me up. Good portion and wrapped nicely to eat to go If you are looking for matcha maybe not this cafe, they offer the Green Tea Latte but it is not the strong matcha flavor I prefer (extra charge for milk substitute btw!)

I'm a big fan of this Yali's. The location is huge, great menu selection (admittedly a bit pricey), kind employees, A1 pumpkin bread. It's a bit loud, so I don't recommend it if you have some serious work to get done / no noise-cancelling headphones. Loads of seating indoors and outdoors. Pumpkin bread has bits of chocolate in it as well, soo good. Other favorites include the regular drip coffee, orange juice, and tea bread. Definitely recommend!

A fairly normal Yali's, but with a few perks: * Lots of modern seating. There's usually a free space somewhere, and the vibe is very chic. * Fresh squeezed orange juice. I mean, I haven't tried it, but I really like watching the orange squeezing machine. * Avocado toast. The seasoning is not great, but it is rather large for an avocado toast and is topped with a large amount of fresh avocado. There's probably more, but that's what stuck out to me. Otherwise, there's all the standard Yali's stuff like fake frappuccinos, super sweet smoothies, and quirky quiches (they aren't actually quirky I just was trying to continue the pattern). Good place to get coffee on campus.

If you're ever on Northside, Yali's is probably one of the best places to study in the area. It's newly renovated and has great lighting. I've tried the food and coffee here, and it's nothing special and also a bit more expensive than similar coffee shops and cafes around campus. The small sizes for the coffees are ridiculously small, like the smallest little cups I've seen LOL but definitely still a good place to study for a bit or catch up with friends!

Yali's is a great place to study in between classes. Inside, it is pretty spacious but can get quite packed around lunchtime. The variety of tables and seating is perfect for group projects or casual coffee chats. Everything on the menu is definitely on the pricier side. I usually come for a quick bite (bagel, smoothie, soup). I highly recommend the smoothies! The pina colada smoothie and the strawberry banana smoothie are very refreshing and almost milkshake-like! [ Sliced Egg Sandwich ] All of their sandwiches are made with fresh ACME bread! I chose the sour dough bread over the baguette and the whole wheat. The sour dough paired nicely with the sliced egg! The sliced avocado and mayo give the sandwich a creamy texture.

Starting off with some positives, the service is great. The cashiers are straight to the point and nice. The baristas are efficient at pushing out drinks in a timely manner. In addition, this cafe is a great place to study on Northside. There are usually seats open but may be a little more busy around lunchtime. However there are benches outside too. Now with some negatives. The previous two times I went I got a Chai Latte with Soy. There's a surcharge for non dairy milk but the option is nice. Both times the drinks were extremely watery, making the taste seem slightly acidic. Today I decided to get a soy latte to see if their other drinks are good. They serve Equator coffee which is one of my favorites in the Bay. At Equator locations I can get coffee without sugar and tastes smooth but never bitter. Here, my Latte was extremely bitter. I had to use sugar. In addition my Latte was 1/4-1/3 foam. I didn't expect so little coffee. Overall this place is good for studying but I haven't tried any good drinks yet.

A great study space near the Northside of Cal campus! I really love this space after the remodel! Plenty of seating, amazing natural and white light, and low noise/good ambient music makes this cafe one of my new favorite study spots. I've tried their drinks before the remodel, so can't comment if they've changed, but as I'm writing this review, I'm munching on their Asian chicken salad. Very fresh and yummy vinaigrette, with a side of Acme bread.

Customer #2 with members of the Yali's A-team

Today is Opening Day for the new Yali's in the space that was formerly known as the Qualcomm Cyber Cafe. You'll find it on Instagram as @yaliscoffee/ . I was Customer Number Two. Because I was on my way to a workout, I ordered no food. However, I do want to point out that this new Yali's carries Firebrand pastries as well as pastries from Semifreddi's. The coffee is from Equator. I had a small cappuccino "for here" (i.e., in a ceramic cup). It was perfectly made. As you can see from the photos on Instagram (and I'll add two for this review), the space has been remodeled beautifully. The personnel today included members of the Yali's A-team. If the quality can be maintained as the months wear on, this may become my favorite campus cafe. Go Yali's!

Fra'mami sandwich - Cold cut salami and pickles w/ mayo & swiss on foccaia bread. Hearty & appetizing but for the price I'd choose a bagel

So I'm at the soft grand opening for Yalis. First impression, the lines aren't that long, especially compared to the lines at the Oxford St and Stanley Hall Yalis. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was lively and the café itself was spacy, casual, and contemporary. Their Spotify music choice was a bit interesting for cafe and was mainly chillwave and electric indie. Very hipster vibe. The baristas working were also very friendly and efficient for their first day on the job. As it was my first time ordering from Yali's, they recommended I get the tomato mozzarella sandwich or the fra'mami sandwich. I ultimately chose the fra'mami sandwich along with Firebrand's chocolate chip cookie and a small milky way hot drink. Also, this is the only Yalis that accept both Debit, credit, Cal1Debit and cash. The Fra'mami sandwich consisted of cold cut salami and pickles w/ mayo & swiss on foccaia bread. I think all of their sandwiches are cold cut even the "grilled sandwiches". The Fra'mami was heart and appetizing and the acidity of the pickles really balanced the salami and cheese but for the price I'd choose a bagel. The hot Milky Way and chocolate chip cookie both tasted really smooth and dark, albeit both were a little too rich. The half of the milky way was cream fat and the cookie also weighed me down with its fattiness. I did appreciate the much needed sea salt flakes on the cookie which balanced out the sweetness and enhanced the flavors. Overall Yalis was a pretty casual location for occasional eats. Although items' prices range on the higher side the food here is pretty decent and the café itself allows for a great place to study and snack on the Northside of campus.

I walked in and I was immediately greated by Sofia and Yesenia. They were so sweet and polite. Due to this being my 1st time here, I needed all the help in understanding how to create my own bowl. Sofia took lead. She provide me her best reccomendations, what she had tried together, what she believed wouldn't go together and her patience was impeccable. She handkerchief me with such beautiful care..lol. After finally placing both my orders, they both worked as a team to make the magic happen. She even found time to provide some cute humor while I waited. When they both were complete, we chatted for a bit as I took pics. I thanked them for my wonderful experience because that is exactly what I had. I felt like I was around familiar ppl. My wife was so pleased with the presentation. She told me that her entire bowl was delicious and she loved her matcha, s. splash and mango base alot. So ladies.. The menu has a lot of range which I'm grateful for: coffee, smoothies, bowls, toast, and everything is customizable with different boosts and swaps depending on what you need that day! I always feel good about what I order here. I usually go for the Power Shred smoothie since it has a really solid protein to calorie ratio (love the sprinkle of coconut on top too), and their avocado ricotta toast is so good (I always ask for pesto on it). The Original Fit Frappe reminds me of a frappe from bigger chain coffee spots, but it feels more balanced and made with better ingredients. I've been to a few other Earthbar locations and this one is definitely my favorite, the ambiance is clean and open, and the service is just consistently kind. Big shoutout to Victoria and Dom! As someone who works in service, I definitely notice that kind of care in places I go to, and they always make the experience feel easy and welcoming. It's nice to have them as familiar faces there. Love the aesthetic. While there is limited seating indoors, this feels like more of a grab-and-go style spot near the Cal Berkeley campus. I grabbed a smoothie and a bowl ~ checking out the menu a bit more thoroughly for next time, I'll order the Bowlieve Me, Baby (Red Dragon Fruit Base) or the I'm So Blue Without U (Blue Spirulina Base). You can adjust your toppings, and there's a checkbox to select the almond granola (GF, vegan) or with no granola. The bowl sizes are small, medium, large (8oz, 16oz, 24oz) and it looks like the smoothies come in one size. For the smoothies you can pick your plant milk (coconut/oat/soy come with a charge). They also serve energy balls that look adorably delicious and eye-catching. The bowls and smoothies are aesthetically pleasing and incredibly nourishing. What a fun find and win for the East Bay if in the area + need for a bit of elevated (and beautiful) nutrition. Smoothie-wise the Strawesome is delish and the Greenergy looks great!
