Great quick service on the juices and bowls when I had gone there. Got the Berkeley Greens (which is their only all-vegetable drink except with lemon) and did a workout afterwards and threw up! The best item on the menu here is the purple cow. The color of it is in fact, purple. Like a bright purple. Not a color you typically find in nature, but everything in this movie is natural. It contains milk, banana, boysenberries, acai, peanut butter, and granola. It's a wonderful breakfast substitute. That smoothie will keep me going until about three or 4 o'clock. The services this place is excellent. They get a little busy and there are smoothies take a little while to make but that's the price of custom made orders. I walked in and I was immediately greated by Sofia and Yesenia. They were so sweet and polite. Due to this being my 1st time here, I needed all the help in understanding how to create my own bowl. Sofia took lead. She provide me her best reccomendations, what she had tried together, what she believed wouldn't go together and her patience was impeccable. She handkerchief me with such beautiful care..lol. After finally placing both my orders, they both worked as a team to make the magic happen. Sofia or my wife's bowl together and Yesenia put mine together. Sofia ensured that I was comfortable while I waited by inviting me to take a seat. She even found time to provide some cute humor while I waited. When they both were complete, we chatted for a bit as I took pics. I thanked them for my wonderful experience because that is exactly what I had. I felt like I was around familiar ppl. My wife was so pleased with the presentation. We came here before heading to a concert nearby at the Greek Theatre. The menu here is huge, consisting of juices, smoothies, and bowls, among other things. The juice that we ordered was blended freshly to order and we received our juice pretty quickly. The shop is very small and not made to enjoy the drinks/bowls there, though there is a small table outside of the place. It is definitely more of a grab-and-go type of place. read more

Purple Cow is a superb smoothie, good balance between healthy and tasty, get an extra large one as a fun way to add calories after a lift. My girls and I were in Berkeley and we LOVE açaí bowls, so we decided to try out Juice Appeal. The vibe was cute, really busy place and the weather was so beautiful outside! It's down the street from UC Berkeley so location is great for any student that wants something healthy to add to their body. I've been here years back but coming again was a different experience because it's new business ownership and the new owners definitely know how to run the business better compared to the prior. Their açai bowls taste sooooo much better! My belly was loving it! The lady that owns it was so sweeeeeet! I built my own bowl, I kept it simple since we just had lunch before and added strawberries, blueberries, coconut flakes, GF granola and date honey which I rarely see at açai bowl places. The worker was really helpful at suggesting different options for our bowls as well as completing some of our requests. My girls LOVES granola, and they were able to add all the extra granola onto ours bowls as they pleased. The granola had a crispy texture, tasted veryyy satisfying with its crunch that many people find enjoyable! The employee added the GF Classic granola so that the one to go for, you'll definitely be happy! They're very generous with topping portions here and have amazing bases that aren't too sweet. I go pretty often, and on multiple occasions--whether they are backed up or not--speed of service is severely lacking. There are times that I even order about half an hour in advance, though it is clear that does not make any difference as they neglect to keep up with incoming orders--based on my frequent experience anyway. Furthermore, if you do catch them during busy times, they WILL hand you a cup of liquid. Aside from that, quality of products is great and they have such a wide selection of beverages to choose from! Most employees are helpful in answering any questions or with helping customers at the register. The bowls are very delicious and always look visually pleasing!
