Decided to try this Korean eatery as we've been to all the Korean restaurants in Kaneohe. Located in the Times Super Market shopping Center it's easier if you enter on Kam Hwy. You have to pass Domino's pizza , walking towards Jack in the box on Kam Hwy. Once here, you come to a spacious restaurant with tables & vent fans floating above each table. Yakiniku style table cooking is what you get here. You order up to four meat items @ a time and they bring various (banchan) side dishes & you cook the meats to the way you want . So delicious! It's all you can eat for $ 34.50 adults. You can other side dishes from the kitchen for an extra charge. We got greeted, & served by Elijah for the evening and was very please with his excellent customer service, he kept us filled with whatever dishes and condiments we needed. Excellent dinner& service! I was craving all you can eat yakiniku and thought that this was still Sikdorak. I decided to give this place a shot since I was so hungry. Our server was a sweet, friendly girl. We were just coming from working out at the gym and it started to rain so we figured we'd just stay in town and eat. No wait time and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The staff were sitting around until we opened the doors and prepped us a table with a bowl of rice, utensils, and (only) 4 choices of veggies. Booo. We only ordered four items in which you can order four at a time we started out with the garlic, pork belly, thin pork belly, brisket, and beef tongue. At lunchtime, the ambience was definitely quiet since that no one else was there. The beef tongue was chewy and hard to swallow and so was one other item which I believe to have been the brisket. Especially the brisket. Both items were dull and frozen when it was served to the table, but when fully cooked, it still tasted unpleasing. during my dining experience, there were some times where I had to use my hands to separate the meat from each other because it was just so Difficult to chew. It was brought to their attention and they were apologetic about it. Sadly, the business name was changed and the quality of the items (especially those two said above) Was not very appetizing. My previous reviews are for when this establishment was Sikdorak II. Always loved this spot because it wasn't too busy and everything was great. However they have since renamed under Yakiniku Cho Dang and it's not the same. Stopped in not realizing the name change nor was it even updated on Yelp yet. The prices went up, understandable but the quality of food and service was disappointing. Since it is so slow in the restaurant the service was very good and friendly. Its the food that sucks, especially for the price. The pork belly was the biggest turn off. Ive never seen the meat like that when it came. There wasnt much fat so it was extremely dry when cooking it. Other cuts of meats is all fat and barely any meat. Gen is in the $30 range with much more selection. This is about $35 with far less selections and not good meat cuts. Its obvious which one to go to instead. If expecting people to pay more, than gotta up the meat quality and quantity of items. We only came here because we thought Sikdorak was still here. Guessing that is why people just ended up here. Came here for my husbands birthday he was craving Kbbq. The prices are very affordable and they give generous servings of the sides. We really enjoyed the meat selections and amble amount of sides. It is BYOB but they also have Pepsi products. The service was great. The wait staff was very attentive. Our choices were brought out smoothly. For $34.33 per person, we were very disappointed. The meat was so tough. We ordered seasoned short ribs (which didn't resemble short ribs), brisket and thin pork belly. Didn't care for the flavor of the seasoned short ribs. They give very little banchan options and we even had to ask for more dipping sauce. The service was ok. New name same place. Was a pretty busy night, but that's typical for this place at dinner time. We were seated within 5 minutes so that was s big plus. The only thing issue we had tonight was the heavy smoke. Maybe because the ventilation was struggling with the crowd? Whatever the reason, everything else was as it's always been. Speedy, friendly service and delicious food. I definitely would recommend their steamed egg. It looks simple, but so flavorful and fluffy! I haven't posted a review of Sikdorak 2, but I have been here many times throughout the years. It was great until I had eaten at a Gen's restaurant for the first time. At that time, the prices were almost identical. We reluctantly ate here today because another restaurant was not open yet, and we didn't want to drive somewhere else during peak Kaneohe hours. We sat down after all of the sides were put out and only then we were notified that much of the selections were not available. Had we been told that at the door, we might have turned around and left. We made do with what they had. The "seasoned" steak and pork didn't taste well, but with no pork belly or regular steak, we had to make do. The best thing was the brisket. The wait help was nice, but I hope to look back at this review the next time we consider this place. I knew the previous visit wasn't great, but it was so long ago that I couldn't remember why. Our family notice that Sikdorak changed to Cho Dang and wanted to give it a try. We practically ordered one of each meat and shrimp off of the AYCE menu to make sure we had a good variety. We were highly disappointed. All cuts were tough. My cousin has worked as a meat cutter for a major chain market for decades and said they did not slice the meats correctly . Just remember that if you are a single party, they will only serve a single person during lunch hours until 3pm. I'm a townie, but love coming to the Kaneohe Sikdorak location. To start, they have many great meat options here. I love to order the thin pork belly, brisket, & honeycomb pork belly (they don't have this at the town location)! My boyfriend & I specifically come to this location so we can order the honeycomb pork belly. Service wise, the workers are efficient, but there can sometimes be a long wait if you go during their busy dinner hours. Ambiance wise, they usually play really good music (another reason why I love coming here) & it's pretty clean for the most part. We ended up waiting for about 20 min until the other employees came to work... yeah late. Although the employees were super apologetic, we were still kinda confused about the whole situation, if your hours say 11. You should arrive to work a litter earlier right? Food: Don't get me wrong, the food is always delicious. They added a bunch of new items to the menu, garlic pork belly, garlic shrimp and a bunch of other seafood items. The water they gave us was warm, tasted a little funny. I noticed they don't give lettuce now, they charge $7.00 for lettuce, I'm not sure how much they give but for $7.00 better be a decent amount lol. I must start off by saying not only was the food wonderful, The service is amazing!! Jenny & Cameron were so friendly, attentive and got us everything we needed before we even had to ask! This location is a nice size. We came on a Thursday at 5p and were the only ones in there for about half our stay. All of the meats were so fresh and super tasty. Loved this place until they over charged me $30 because they did not honor their lunch menu on the weekends and didn't post it anywhere that the price difference was 33 instead of 22. Their lunch menu clearly states $22 their dinner menu is $33. I went to lunch at 12 o'clock to one. Their lunch menu goes from 10 to 3. This location is my favorite location out of the three. The staff here are always wonderful and the service is always on point. There is usually no wait most of the time we come here. They do have a sign in sheet however, incase there is a wait. Their prices have increased since the last time. It's almost $30 now for AYCE. Although the price got higher, it's still worth it in my opinion. We came here exactly at their opening time 11AM on 3/26/22. The time limit now is 60mins to eat, sometimes they'll let you go over depending how busy they are, but we were full by then. The staff working that day were very accommodating, always making sure we had everything we needed. We love their sides, so the servers made sure we always had them full. Our favorite meats has to be the brisket, beef tongue, and pork jowl (pork cheek). The brisket never fails, and one of the fastest meat to cook, same as the beef tongue, although it is an acquired taste. The pork jowl is thicker than the pork belly so you have more a chewy texture. There are many other selections that we also tried. They also have some seafood selection as well. Don't forget they have pre made dishes as well that you can order on the side or even to take home. read more

Its sad that a place I use to frequent and love so much is now a place I will probably avoid. This was my go to sikdorak location when it opened but now I frequent sikdorak 3. My visiting friend wanted to eat beef tongue and I decided to go to sikdorak 2 instead of 3. We arrived and got seated right away. They gave us our banchan and started taking our orders. For our first order we found out they were out of beef tongue, dissapointed but decided to stay since we already eating the banchan. On a later order we were also informed they were out of "Idk remember what I think it was steak" again sucks but oh well. I didnt care as much for them not having steak but not having beef tongue was huge for me. Thats the one thing sikdorak has over gens and they didnt have it. Everything at gens is superior to sikdorak 2. The 1hr time limit is short asf and has never gone back up even after covid restrictions have been lifted. They don't make certain banchans any more. Its just super sad. Thank god the service was great. This locations always has the best service out of the 3 but its not enough for me to plan to go back. read more

This was my first time dining at this location. I've been to the original location on Keeaumoku and the memories of it wasn't as great as tonight! We came a little after 7:30 and were sat right away after the initial check in. The servers there were all very pleasant and very attentive!! One of the best service I've ever gotten at any Acye Korean bbq place! I would have to say that my experience here was wayyyyy better than what I have experienced in Keeaumoku. The tables here weren't as squished so there's more room to move around versus the town location where I felt so claustrophobic. Also, it looks so much cleaner than the town location. I haven't eaten at Sikdorak in years because of the previous experience I've had. Although the price went up to $29.95 per person and they also charge $7 for lettuce, it's still really good. The portions they bring are smaller but then I like that because it may feel like you're eating a lot but not really. My bf only ordered the beef tongue and I ordered pork jowl, honey comb pork belly, garlic pork belly, and spicy sweet baby octopus. Although I ordered more pork jowl than anything else but then they ran out so it was subbed with the garlic pork belly lol. But the food was really good! We also ordered the corn cheese which was about $9 but it was a big bowl of it and it was soooo good! It was worth it!! I know that the sides here are all $8.95 each but if it's good then I'd definitely order it! I saw their kimchi pancake and that looked good too! I'd definitely want to try that next time! My bf said that this was the best Sikdorak on island and I definitely have to agree with that! So glad we were able to get sat right away because right after that a lot of big parties started to come in! Will definitely be coming back here if we're in Kaneohe!! it was just my husband, my baby and myself who went on a Sunday. we went in and nobody greeted us or told us to do anything for that matter. no sign either to let us know what to do. we kind of just stood there until we saw a notebook with other people's info that they had written so we were like ok lets put our names down. 10 minutes.. 20 minutes.. until finally we were just like okay were gonna go somewhere else. like literally nobody told us to put down our names, or nobody greeted us. they saw us and kept working. there was a few tables open and there was a 5 top ahead of us, but even then they also did not tell them anything. (the 5 top was also talking about how they didn't have any communication with them) i wish they'd at least greet you and tell you "hi there welcome, put your name down and we'll call you when we're ready." sucks, we were actually excited to eat here but didn't get to try it. maybe next time. read more

We specifically asked if these were available in the evenings too, she said yes. Having had bariatric surgery, we physically can't do AYCE. When we arrived the place was about half full. The gal started setting our table, but then we were told by the guy that we needed to sign in. They sat us at a table with the ban chan already at the table, water, small dishes and chopsticks. When we tried to order the lunch specials, they told us we couldn't. Being that we had already started eating the Kim chi, we felt obligated to stay. Unfortunately, the whole experience was a disappointment. The servers checked on us frequently and kept offering to change our grill. But it took awhile to get it seasoned properly. We kept the one we started with. The ban chan was Kim chi, bean sprouts, mac salad with corn and potatoes. The mac salad was different. It had a sweet twang to it. We all skipped it after a small taste. The rest was ok. For 3 people it came out to $94 before tip. First and last time for us. There are much better places around town that we prefer. Others seemed happy as we looked around the restaurant, but for us it was not what we were looking for. We probably should have just left, but now we know. All-can-eat Korean BBQ for a reasonable price! And they're also BYOB so you can buy and bring in a bottle of soju at the grocery store just around the corner (same building). You can order up to four types of meat at a time, and keep ordering more until you're full. My friend and I really enjoyed the Honeycomb Garlic Pork Belly, Garlic Short Rib, and the Ju Mul Leog (small pieces of marinated prime rib). The interior of the restaurant doesn't look as nice as Gyukaku in Windward Mall, but hey you get good meat for cheaper so I think its worth it. I'll probably choose Sikdorak 2 over Gyukaku because I like the laid back atmosphere and BYOB. (I'm not fancy -- I just wanna eat, drink, and have a good time with friends!) read more

Hands down one of the best service I have received in the longest of time. The staff were really quick to respond, take our meat orders, and refill our banchan and waters. We went on a Sunday night and the wait was 5 minutes. It wasn't too smoky in there like how kbbq places are normally and it was pretty busy. Delicious meal and great service. We entered and were immediately sat and from there on the service was top notch!! I mean seriously PAR NONE!!! Grill was changed anytime there was a little build up on it. Food didn't stop coming once we ordered and they returned to take our order right before our last meat was thrown on the grill, returning with fresh meat shortly after. Want to take my son to the bathroom and the floor had soap and I literally had to catch my son on my knee from slipping.
