Made a call to get a consultation to get our yard completely hardscaped. We have a BIG yard, so this would be an expensive job, definitely over $20,000 to get the whole yard paved. So, I talked to Jacob, he made an appointment to come out the day after I called. He arranged for Wednesday, because it was the only date that he was completely open. That worked for me as my day was open. He didn't show up! 30 minutes after our appointment, I tried to find out where he was. He said he was on his way and running late. I asked him when I could expect to see him. No answer! An hour later I text him and ask him if he's still coming. No answer again! After nearly 3 hours of silence, I text him and tell him no need to come as I was going to be giving my money to a company that actually wanted my business. There was no apology or anything from him to even make amends. He didn't try to reschedule. He just went silent. In business, you're supposed to try and make a good impression on new clients. However, Jacob already showed that he thinks of his customers as garbage. He is extremely unprofessional and this business will go close at this rate. read more

We chose Jacob because of his good reviews (we should have looked at his yelp reviews instead of the google reviews as they had the same exact issues we did), but our experience was nothing short of terrible. Despite a clear agreement for the services we expected, the outcome was shameful and deceptive. For the $830 paid, we received work that was incomplete, poorly done, and fell far below acceptable standards. Before work began, my mother had detailed discussions with Jacob about what was to be done: - Clearing the rocks of all debris (weeds, sticks, grass, dead leaves) without using weed killer. He stated he would remove the grass growing in the rocks even though he may have to use a special machine to do so and that, as a result, a couple of inches of dirt will be removed in the process which was okay with my mom. - Trimming trees and bushes neatly - Mowing the grass and trimming around bricks and pillars - Sowing grass seeds for regrowth - Fixing the sprinklers and a leaking hose faucet Jacob provided an estimate, and my mother decided to proceed, despite delayed and vague communication on his part. Things quickly went downhill: Poor communication: Jacob did not provide specific times or dates for the work. He showed up unannounced, initially with one other young man and no crew, which raised concerns given the scope of the work. Substandard execution: The rocks were untouched, still full of debris, weeds and the grass was neither removed from the rocks nor trimmed properly. Some areas of the lawn were unevenly mowed, while others were left completely unmowed. Plants were butchered, with branches left half-cut and dangling. Unfulfilled promises: The sprinklers for the grass were not fixed and do not turn on automatically and the leaking faucet remains unrepaired despite an additional charge of $160 for these services. The faucet is leaking even worse than before Jacob "fixed" it. It is now leaving a giant puddle in the rocks. He also said he would sow seeds into the dirt patches in the grass to help it regrow. He did not do that either. Jacob texted after leaving our property that the diaphragm needs to be replaced in the backyard or the sprinklers would need to be turned on manually instead of turning on automatically. If that is the case, Jacob should have specified that before we paid him $160 that was supposed to go toward him fixing the irrigation system and leaky faucet as agreed upon. Once paid (we paid cash before he began working due to our schedule) he became unresponsive, ignored follow-ups, and failed to return to complete the job. When we reached out to Jacob asking him to come back to finish the mess he left in our front and back yard, Jacob attempted to ask my mother if she'd be open to using weed killer (most likely at an additional cost) after already agreeing to remove the weeds and grass without any use of pesticides. After Jacob replied with a vague text saying he's figuring out a time and date. One month later and we still never heard back from him. We are deeply disgusted and feel robbed of our hard-earned money. Pictures of the messy aftermath and our communication with Jacob will be posted as evidence. We had trash bags full of leaves and a pile of sticks from what was left behind by Jacob that we had to pick up and trim ourselvesIves. I could not upload all the photos as there is a 20 photo limit. We contacted Yahweh ahead of our trip to AZ ( we live out of state ) to bid on our house that was being done in AZ . We set an appointment and waited ( we are renting somewhere else ) in the hot sun ( our house is only framed at this time ) and he didn't show . I tried to contact him and he finally got back to say he was running late .( he should have called us to let us know that instead of me calling him ). We had another appointment and rescheduled it for him and kept waiting in the hot sun , but he still strung us out for over an hour with his other appointment and never showed . I had him come to my house end of April to trim my palm tree. After trimming it He said it wouldn't need to be trimmed again until next summer. He was wrong. I needed the palm to be trimmed again just a couple weeks later. I texted him asking if he would come out again to to trim the tree. There was no answer. I tried again and he said he was busy and he would get back to me in a couple hours which he did not do. Then 2 weeks later I texted again asking to schedule. He finally responded & said he was scheduling 3 weeks out. I said that's fine & he scheduled me for today (3 weeks later) and never showed up! I texted him as a reminder at 7:45 pm. No response. He doesn't care about negative reviews either. I do NOT recommend this individual as he is irresponsible & unprofessional & doesn't warranty his work. Horrible customer service & he is dishonest. When I requested several quotes on Yelp, Yahweh was the only company that agreed to come out the next day. Every other company was swamped and couldn't help me out for months, and understandably so with the recent damage the monsoons have caused. They arrived a little later than they said they would, but they took care of the fallen branch, loaded it in the truck and blew the leaves and debris away as if it had never happened. Quick response to my requested Yelp quote -- and were willing to negotiate. Perhaps a misunderstanding on my part, but I thought more of the fallen leaves and debris around the yard would be cleaned up. Seemed kind of expensive for one tree cutting, and the small backyard lawn mowed for $150. Back when we lived in California we used to have landscapers come out weekly for a much larger grass area being mowed, plus yard clean up -- charging $80 - $90 range PER MONTH. They were friendly, and great about getting back to me when I wrote. The guy that came out to do the work was nice, and checked in to make sure he cut enough of the tree -- when I asked for a couple more dead branches to be removed, he willingly went back to work on it. read more

Was able to get in on one week's notice. Would appreciate a confirmation on the day of since so many contractors are not showing up nowadays but I called them the morning of and it all worked out. Not only was the work that was done terrible quality but they never came back to correct it. After numerous contacts with Jacob (owner) it was never corrected. There were many promises and "we're short handed" excuses but the initial work was garbage to begin with so correcting anything from them would have probably yielded the same result. I had one over the phone conversation with Jacob for a 54 sq ft paving job of which he would do for a fair price, he said he would be there on a Tuesday following our conversation, the Tuesday morning appointment came and went with no phone call or explanation as to why he wasn't there as promised. Tuesday evening however I received a text from him saying he was sorry but he was in a accident. I'm not cold hearted, I told him I'm sorry that happened to him and let him know to give me a call to reschedule the project and discuss options as I was on a deadline, two days later and I was still waiting on a phone call from him. Finally got the job done by someone who showed up, kept in contact with me, did great work at a fair price. They did a great job with cutting the palm trees. I had the team remove an orange tree as well and that did not go as well. A part of the drip system was broken and oil from the chainsaw was spilled on my pavers. Nothing was communicated to me after the work was done (was not home when work was finished). I asked over the span of 2 weeks for them to come out to repair/fix. Was told someone was coming and then no one showed. Reached back out an additional time and still nothing.
