Ramen
Mike M.

Went to Yagi Noodles after discovering this great food court at Track 15. Great hearty meal especially on a cool fall night. Location is great with indoor and outdoor seating options. A short walk from waterplace park. With long wooden tables inside great for groups or solo travelers. Services was quick and easy. Overall a great experience and would recommend if in Providence.

Yagi Noodles is the Asian food option at Track 15. I believe they have a location in Newport but it's nice that they have one in Providence too. Everything we ordered was delicious, including Bao Buns, dumplings, and chicken wings. The sweet and sour chicken wings were crispy and flavorful. The dumplings and bao buns were both incredible as well. Plenty of ramen options on the menu. The staff were accommodating and friendly.

Tonkotsu

I ordered the Tonkotsu honestly not expecting too much. But damn. I was surprised. The flavors in this are layered so well. Complex. Delicious. The pork and mushroom so crispy and the pickled onions really set the dish off. Served with a perfectly jammy egg. This is ramen done so well that I'm surprised this is $20 and in Track 15. Don't sleep on this ramen. It was dang good.

Service was quick and friendly, and answered our menu questions like pros. The green curry and veggie ramens were both so different, but each had rich flavor, fresh ingredients, and chewy noodles that were amazing! Thanks for making my bday great!

My friend originally wanted the Green Curry Ramen, but it was out of stock, so they tried the Spicy Sesame Ramen instead. It was decent, though not particularly memorable. We also shared the cabbage salad, which was crisp and tangy--a definite highlight. If you're looking for ramen that's very traditional or bold in flavor, this might not fully hit the mark, but there are some tasty options to try. Service: Our waitress was friendly and polite, though we noticed she didn't check in as often as we might have hoped. We did have to go to the bar at one point to request the bill, but overall, she was pleasant. Ambiance: The restaurant is cozy and intimate. There's a sign and curtain near the entrance that says "wait to be seated," which was a little confusing at first, but a regular customer kindly guided us around it. Inside, the seating is a mix of a long bar and smaller two-tops along the walls, so it works best for smaller groups rather than large parties.

We were sadly in a rush and had to be out by a certain time to catch a show, and our server understood the assignment and got us out on the tight schedule we needed. I'm just sad I had to slurp down my soup so quickly as it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered the Snow Mountain Ramen - the creamy tofu broth is unlike anything I've had and was so so unique and delicious. I thought about it for at least a week straight after eating it and am still dying to go back to get more. I also got the Iced Rose Matcha drink - $10 felt too pricy for this but I wanted a fun drink and a little caffeine kick - and again the flavors were unique and tasty. Both my friend and I happened to see someone we knew here - it's definitely a popular spot! It was packed on a Saturday night but it was still pretty quick for us to get a table for 2. Being a downtown city restaurant, the tables feel a bit cramped and I was a little too close to the table next to me for comfort - claustrophobics beware (honestly the soup is worth it though!!) Parking is pretty easy in the lot, although Holy crap they need to fix the potholes / harsh drop-off where it meets the street, and it still was not fully plowed many weeks after the big snowstorm (it's a shared lot so not a Y Noodle specific issue, but just saying). The only thing that was unpleasant were the bathrooms - I get it was a busy weekend night, but they reeked of a litter box the second you stepped in, the floor was dirty and very wet with unknown substances, and the Dyson hand dryer is at such a weird, too high level on the wall that it sprayed water in my face. Everything else was a dream, can't wait to go back! Hopefully the bathrooms were just a fluke.

We recently visited Sakuratani in Bristol for the first time and came away very impressed. This…read morefamily-run restaurant has only been open about a year, but it already feels like an established part of the local dining scene. A nice space. We began with spring rolls (VERY good - chicken and shrimp) and sake, and the sake program deserves special mention. We selected a very enjoyable $38 bottle and noticed several other bottles at lower price points, along with a wide selection of canned sake--many around $11. Some diners may balk at paying that much for a can, but they will happily pay more for a mediocre glass of wine at half the volume. The value here is actually quite good, especially for those looking to explore sake beyond the ordinary. Our entrées--the ramen and chicken katsu--were excellent. The ramen featured a rich, deeply satisfying broth, while the chicken katsu was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. If you want a "hotter " ramen - the have an add on for a buck. Service was warm and attentive, reflecting the pride that often comes with a family-owned business. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, allowing the quality of the food to take center stage. Bristol is fortunate to have Sakuratani. Strong Japanese dining options can be hard to find outside larger cities, and for a restaurant only a year old, they seem to be doing many things right. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu--and their sake offerings. Highly recommended.

Turns out the chicken ramen was the best I've ever had. It was perfect. Hot temperature and medium spicy. The chicken was lightly crisp and fried. It was a surprise and really good. The Thai iced tea was average and not made fresh.
