My car broke down 2 minutes into a 45 minute drive home Saturday around 6p. Luckly I was still close to my aunt's house and was able to pull into a neighborhood side street. I put a AAA request in for battery service, thinking it was the battery. A few hours later AAA calls and says they talked with some of the battery techs and they think it is the alternator not the battery and recommended a tow. I gave the OK. This was about 8:20p. By 8:34 I received a call from Yafoo Towing's main line. The gentleman confirmed my info and tow price to get my car back home. I was at my aunt's at this point so asked if the driver could call when he arrived. I took a look and if the driver left their Chicago Heights location, it would be about an hour and 45 min until they got to me. The driver called when he was arriving to make sure I was back at the car. He was very friendly, tested the battery and confirmed it probably was the alternator. He was able to jump start the car with one of those portable jump packs so he could drive it onto the flat bed. I went home with my husband in his car and met our driver at the house. He carefully unloaded the car in our driveway. I was also able to quickly and easily pay for the tow over the phone, and received text with the invoice. Pricing seemed reasonable for a flat bed tow truck and a 45 minute trip home. Overall, despite the long wait because of AAA (not Yaffo), the experience was very positive. I greatly appreciate Yaffo Towing and their driver for picking up the request. read more

My car was stolen and totalled right in front of me at the Lewis and Clark Park in KC KS at 7:45am. American Family Insurance said I had to use this company so I called for a tow at 9am. This company shows up with a flatbed, determines my car needs a different type of tow truck so they left and said they'd be back in 25 minutes. 3 hours later a man shows up. He lifts the front of car up and removes the large boulder it was stuck on and puts my car back down. When he removes the hook, the entire front bumper came off. He said it was my fault for parking so horribly. I told him it was stolen by a homeless woman who wrecked it on top of the boulders, not me. He lifted the back of my car and moved another boulder out of the way, set my car down and we finally left that park at 2pm. SEVEN hours later! When we arrive at the lot for totalled cars, he left my car and me. He ABANDONED me in a junkyard miles from my home, miles from Enterprise. He REFUSED to take me anywhere. NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS TOW SERVICE!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE PEOPLE!!! I let AFI know about this awful incident and they said they'd remove this company from their recommendations. THIS IS A TERRIBLE UNETHICAL TOW SERVICE!!! I PRAY THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS SO NOBODY ELSE HAS TO GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH!!!!! read more

Unprofessional, unreliable, and horrible customer service I was recommended Yaffo Towing through my State Farm claim and I deeply regret using them. They were assigned to tow my car and never showed up on time. Every time I called for an update they had a new excuse for why the car wasn't getting towed yet. Dispatch says the driver is on the way, then an hour goes by, nothing. This happened multiple times. No accountability, no real ETA, just excuse after excuse. For a company that advertises 24/7 emergency towing, they are anything but reliable. State Farm should not be recommending this company. Location: Chicago Ridge, IL - 6633 W 99th St read more

Mercedes road side assistance connected me to this company. They kept sending "updates" every 1-1.5 hours saying they were on their way. When I called them for updates they would repeat the same lie that I was the next pickup. They wasted 3 hours of my time stranded waiting for them before I called Mercedes road side and complained for them to send someone else. Honestly, don't trust these people for roadside service and if you get connected to them, immediately ask for it to be redispatched to a different provider. read more

Starting the year with a tow wasn't one of my NYE goals. Progressive Roadside assistance sent Yaffo STL and he showed up in 12 minutes. He drove a flat bed and loaded my car quickly and got me to KC AutoWorx in no time. We talked on the way, Yaffo Towing is new to Kansas City just 1 month and has had already towed many cars, good for them not so good for us car owners. I didn't catch his name but his was pleasant and efficient. read more

Zero ....negative stars. This company is horrible. Left my family stranded for 4 hours & never towed the car. They took a dispatch call from Jeep to go from their shop in Milwaukee WI to tow in Libertyville IL. 55 miles away. They are incompetent, rude & had complete disregard for my families wellbeing. Stay away. read more

Very poor experience. Initially told us they would arrive in 60-90 minutes. Kept pushing back ETA for 3 hours, and then cancelled on us after we waited for 4 hours. We were stranded with a broken down car and had nowhere to go. Service through Erie Roadside Assistance. read more

I own a Porsche Macan EV that has alot of software glitches. on 8/31, the car would not go to Reverse, Neutral or Drive. Its stuck in my parking spot on the 3rd floor of my condo building. Yaffo towing (Shebak) was dispatch as the 4th company through Porsche roadside assistance. If you know how tiny a deeded parking spot in Chicago is, its very challenging to get a car out of there not to mention the 7ft height restrictions. Shebak idid not give up. He attached the wheelies and successfully tow my car to Porsche lincolnwood with no damage. Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Mr Shebak! read more

SCUM!!!! DRIVERS DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE FOR SHT. CARELESS. Drove me off the road in a residential area. Went around me at the corner to make an illegal turn at red. Nearly missed pedestrians that were waiting at a cross walk. All while I had my own 2 young children in the car with me. If your drivers are that reckless, I wouldn't care to give you my car for towing. IRRESPONSIBLE TRUCK 4 read more

State Farm emergency roadside assistance sent them to tow my vehicle. They kept updating the estimated arrival time and strung me along for over 3 1/2 hours before I finally told them I couldn't wait any longer with the vehicle and to cancel the tow. 45 min after I canceled the guy calls me and tells me he is there...his dispatch didn't even let him know the tow was canceled. It was a terrible experience with an incompetent company. I hope State Farm has the good judgement to stop using them. read more

Absolute nightmare - 4-hour delay, overpriced, and extremely rude staff! I pre-scheduled a tow through AAA, and Yaffo Towing arrived 4 hours late, completely ruining my entire workday. To make matters worse, they charged an outrageous $160 for a 25-mile trip. When we called their management to resolve this, a representative named Muhammed was unbelievably rude and dismissively told us we "should have ordered another towing company" if we didn't like the delay or the price. I am an AAA roadside assistance cardholder, though I didn't choose this company myself. Their supervisor's idea of compensation was an insulting $20 credit for wasting half my day. Predatory pricing, completely unprofessional conduct, and zero respect for customers' time. Save yourself the headache and stay far away from this company. The complaint has been filed, and the process is underway. You needn't bother with your standard apologies. read more

The guy that called me back to get a location and I told him I was not at the vehicle but can be in 10 mins. He was so rude! He acted like he was very inconvenienced that he even had to call me. He was saying things under his breath and when I called him back when I got to the car he was irritated that I don't have the exact location by coordinate location. He had to help me on my iPhone to get the exact location which took me 2 minutes. He was just very rude. And when I asked how long he thinks it will be he blew his breath and said 20 min. which I'm sure he just said off the top of his head cause their closest location is farther than 20 min away. The most rude person I have ever had to deal with. read more

They were dispatched to us through AAA. Told 60 minutes by Yaffo after AAA gave us a 30 minute window. Ok, I guess not too big of a deal. Then Yaffo changed it again and again (after we called). It ended up being over 3 hours. Just rude, liars and unreliable. AAA got an earful as well. read more

My daughter was left stranded in a poor neighborhood for 3 hours waiting for a tow truck to arrive. They kept updating the time of arrival and when that time came, they continuously pushed the wait time further away. Called for tow at 5:45pm and they didn't arrive until 8:30pm. No way to track their arrival. One way communication only. When the driver did finally arrive, he already had one car on his truck and said he had to pick that car up first. Didn't communicate that to us ahead of time. Language barrier with the driver, who said he wasn't dispatched until 30 minutes before his arrival which is insane while leaving a young woman alone in a bad neighborhood at night in 90 degree weather. read more

Witnessed a Yaffo tow truck rearend a vehicle and push it into another vehicle this morning on I-294 near Rosemont.

Avoid this company! ZERO stars. Had the same experience as others here. Sent by AAA. They kept saying they were on their way. Waited from 11:30pm until 1am. I finally just left the car and they picked it up at 2am and towed it to the wrong place. I kept getting texts saying the driver was on their way. No phone calls. Can't speak with anyone. A promised response time of 40 minutes is turning in 3 hours Three hours I have been waiting in my car They have radar to detect location of tow truck and they lie, saying 20 more minutes when they haven't completed prior service call This business is unreliable and State Farm is also to blame for using such a shady tow service. read more

They were contracted through my Insurance Co. to provide roadside assistance. They were scheduled to arrive 12 hrs. in advance. Then they pushed back their ETA 3x until finally canceling on me. I am a State Farm Insurance policyholder and this towing company refused to do the request twice! I understand the distance they may have had to travel, but if you're going to work for an insurance company, you should be willing to go the extra mile pun intended! Not only that, the person I had spoken to over. The phone was short and unfriendly with me considering I was stranded in the middle of a farm town 20 miles away from home! I spent five hours trying to get a tow truck to go get my Jeep and all I got was silence on the second attempt. The following day, State Farm got a more friendly and professional company to do the work and it was done in a matter of minutes, not hours! SO I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TOWING COMPANY TO GET YOU OUT OF A BIND SINCE THEY'RE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THEMSELVES THAN THOSE WHO THEY ARE EMPLOYED TO HELP! read more

Called for a tow. I specifically asked if the key needed to be present 2x. The dispatcher even placed me on hold to check. I had kids in the car & wanted to leave b/c the car wasn't in a safe neighborhood. So I stayed clearly the key will NOT be present. The tow bed arriving after a hr+ wait & stated we needed to give the key. The dispatcher then calls me, the driver jumped back in the car said his "cousin would be coming" & pulled off & the dispatcher hung up on me. I did cancel the tow from thwm b/c atp I don't trust you guys to touch my car. And what is up with the whole "cousin" thing. It was 2a in Englewood chicago. Be serious. Tried to use the company through State Farm. Ended up escalating to customer service through insurance because the times kept changing and never saw a truck dispatched through the link they send to keep you updated on your tow truck coming. I would believe the other reviews about how long this company takes and the lack of communication. State Farm should cancel their contract with this service provider. I can't say anything about the service because they failed to dispatch a driver after updating the system but clearly had no intention of following through. read more

Everyone working here has an IQ under 75. The guy that picked it up didn't speak English and said the car was going to my house. So I drive to my house and wait for 30 minutes. Call agin, as it turns out it's going 30 minutes away in the opposite direction. No communication whatsoever. Nobody had any idea what was even happening. They thought it was being picked up where it was supposed to be dropped off and explicitly told me the wrong drop off location then never corrected themselves or let me know. Then I went to get the stuff out of my car and nobody said anything so literally anyone could jus walk up and take all my possessions read more

first of all, they came out super quick even though they likely had a very busy few days with the 10 inches of snow we got. Second, they were very gentle with my car. Third, the driver, Moe, was super friendly and even called me to tell me my car got there OK. I'm not sure what some of these negative reviews are about, but I had a great experience from the first person that took my phone call till the very end. In fact, this is the best experience I had with a towing company ever. Hands-down. thank you!!! it is very much appreciated read more

Yaffo Towing STL is by far the WORST towing service offered in this city! The tow was ordered at 9:30PM on July 26th, The company let us know that it was going to be about a 30-45 minute wait. Which is fine since it was a busy Saturday. An hour and 30 minutes pass by and we give the company a call back. They responded with that it'll be 35-75 minutes for the tow to be there, at this point me and my wife were furious! It was almost 90 degrees out AT NIGHT and we were in a stuffy car with no AC at the time. Luckily we were picked up by our father in law. Even then we called them again and they stated that it will be another 45 minutes for the tow truck to pick up the car. We took off our brand new temp plates and hit the road back to our house. Once we got home I loaded up and decided to watch the car while waiting on the driver to get there, keep in mind once I got to the car it was 2AM THE FOLLOWING DAY!!!! I called back and they said that it was going to be a 15-20 minute wait for the driver to get there. I waited another hour and the tow truck got there at 3:01AM on the dot. I had so many words that I wanted to say but at this point I couldn't risk loosing the tow. If you're needing a tow in a pinch or a tow in general, DO NOT COUNT ON Yaffo Towing! This business needs new management and a whole overhaul of new staff for it to survive, with a rating of 2 stars you would think that you would IMPROVE your service! read more

My Tesla had a drained battery and was unable to open car. Tesla advised I had to get it towed in. My insurance company assigned a tow company (I will not mention) that showed up 4 hours late and brought wrong truck and could not help me. Waisted day. I wanted a different tow company. They assigned me Yaffo Towing. Fantastic, awesome job! They showed up 30 minutes early. Assigned this company through my insurance, was told the wait would be 30 minutes multiple times. Once it hit 3 hours, I just chanced it and drove to the shop with all my electric alerts on in a car that wouldn't accelerate above 20 mph. One of their trucks door dinged my car and taking the paint off completely and being super noticeable and now they don't want to take responsibility!! The tow truck 107 driver saw when he hit it. I have 2 witnesses and they don't want to fix it. The fact that he hit it and left is the frustrating part. I take care of my car so that someone else can come and ding it damaging the paint and not want to take responsibility for it. Super frustrating.
