I called them just asking to refund the item as I couldn't eat it and imagine my surprise when not only does the manager sympathize with me, but offers to personally drive me my correct order. I thought this place was just ok. The food is good and their service is awesome; they're friendly and helpful with their customers. The place is clean and tidy which is a plus. Their menu is straight forward with a limited selection. I ordered their Chicken shawarma (back home style) which had chicken, garlic, and pickles. Honestly, the way it was toasted, cut and tasted, it resembled like a burrito from Taco Bell. There was nothing surprising about this shawarma. It tasted like a burrito from 7-11 or Taco Bell in which was good but shocking at the same time. It doesn't remind me of a shawarma at all and I preferably don't like it cut into bite size pieces. Their fries were seasoned and tasted good but they're skinny and their serving size was a bit small. I didn't taste any garlic from the shawarma so I'm happy I ordered more garlic dressing on the side. Their falafel is small and crispy and has a really good taste to them. I wasn't a big fan of their sticky textured brown rice either. Their bowls are just ok with a limited selection of toppings to choose from. It's a bit bland too. My favorite food item here was their baklava ice cream. A good tip is to order their ice cream and order a few pieces of pistachio baklava on the side and just eat them together for a bigger portion. The pistachio baklava was so yummy! Curbed my cravings (layers of crispy thin crepe with honey drizzle) . The Mediterranean salad and Spicy Hummus was amazing definitely recommend and Gyro was decent. However, as a garlic lover the garlic sauce wasn't that flavorful to me and tasted watered down :/ I opted to not using any of the sauce even though I love sauce with my food. read more

I wanted to like this place more. There are not a lot of Mediterranean places around here of quality. When I came in I saw the relatively limited menu. This isn't always a bad thing, as specialized places can make their items very well. I was greeted promptly and serviced pretty quickly. I was surprised to hear it was their soft opening and that there was a 30% discount. I was very happy to hear his initially, but after ordering some bowls and a side of falafel, I was a bit disappointed. The Falafel was a bit overlooked and old. The flavor was decent. After the discount, the bowls came to be about $6 each. The portions were relatively small, which is acceptable at the discounted price, but for nearly $10 a bowl later, I would not be back. The main flaw was the flavor. Perhaps they had an off day, but everything was far too salty. The hummus, the gyro meat, the baba ganoush... only the salad held it together. Service was nothing special of note, and my cashier originally forgot my order of Pita, which I had to remind them. Looks like they have a few kinks to work out, but I won't be back due unless the portion, price, or quality changes. read more

I've been waiting for Yafa to open since I spotted the sign go up months ago and was pretty surprised to find it open yesterday so we stopped in for an early Dinner. It seems they have been open a couple of weeks now which completely bypassed me, I saw no advertising of it at all so note to owners if they are reading this: Up your advertising so the local people know of this great little spot. The menu is very simple with a choice of bowl or wrap (Pita or Lavash). The bowls come with 2 sides and a sauce of your choice with half a Pita Bread. Everything is prepared in the morning and is much like the Extreme Pita that used to be here where it's a little assembly line and you pay at the end. I ordered the Chicken bowl with Mediterranean Salad and Pesto Hummus which was a good sized portion and seasoned nicely. I typically don't like Hummus but the Pesto Hummus was really good with the side of Falafel ($3.99) I also ordered. The Sriracha Hummus is also good too if you like something with a bit of a kick to it. The staff were really friendly and helpful when we asked what the difference was between the Greek and Mediterranean Salad, there is no description on the menu so don't be afraid to ask. We love this place try to eat here every time we come to Tracy. No complaints with the food, it's always delicious. We are here on a Friday afternoon this time, not crowded, fast service. We have a suggestion though: maybe the management can clean the windows and glass on the front door? Came here last night for a quick bite, it was our first time and we weren't disappointed! We had gyros, bowls, pita, hummus, and falafels. Everything was so good! We tried the regular hummus and spicy hummus.. spicy was a winner for me! The portions look just right but half way through i was already stuffed! Very good filling food. Cant wait to go back to try the back home style shawarma, pesto hummus, baklava, and ice cream! And hopefully next time I wont forget to take pictures! Shame on my yelper self! I deliberately sought this place out as I was driving through Tracy because I love hummus and middle eastern food. Yafa Hummus did not disappoint. I got the chicken schwarma plate with hummus and Greek salad. I LOVED the hummus--garlicky and lemony--it was excellent. I didn't love the Greek salad as much (I enjoy olives, but there were just too many and it overwhelmed the flavor of the salad). The chicken was flavorful, but a bit dry. What I really loved about this place was the service. The folks behind the counter were friendly and helpful. Kudos! And there was ample parking! I have been to the shopping center where yafa hummus is located at many times but I never stopped here to eat. Today after a long week if hard work I decided to stop here. When I saw their 5 star ratings I knew this place is gonna be my new favorite place to have lunch. Their many is simple and easy to read and order. I ordered their back home style wrap which has chicken shawarm as it's meat. The wrap is then cut into bite pieces and is served with a sauce. The bites are a but spicy but they will ask how spicy you want it to be. Food is fresh and very flavorful. You can pretty much taste every ingredient that has been used to make the wrap. I also ordered some baklava which was also fresh and delicious. As for service, it was just as great as their food. Friendly people with smiling faces. All in all I highly recommend this place whether you're in a mood for wrap or a bowl or just want some falafel. read more

I went there last night and it had a few people streaming in and out. 3 employees. Very clean and cute. Friendly staff. It was my first time there. It had like a typical style now that reminds me of chipotle for ordering so I'm not sure if its a chain. It was $15 for the bowl and a soft drink. They don't sell alcohol. They also had bottled options. I tried the food bowl there and the flavor for me was mediocre. I'm 1st gen mexican american but i do love meditaranean food. It just wasn't flavorful. Brown rice was soft, hummus was very creamy but bland. Chicken shawarma was a bit dry for my taste. The beans were cold and tasted like out of a can to me. I wouldn't go back.
