Wow, 425 reviews to date with a 5-stars Yelp rating. I am not familiar with the dining scene in Tracy, CA. After having takeout lunch here, I am inclined to join the 5-star club for Yafa! The restaurant is fast-casual, similar to Chipotle or Yalla Mediterranean. The difference is you order and pay first, and they'll assemble your order. They have baklava for dessert, both the classic version and one with nutella. Talk about sweet-on-sweet. Why the 5 stars? 1. They give tons of good food for the price. A $9.99 bowl comes with your base (rice, greens, hummus), protein (chicken shawarma, gyros, falafel, mix of two), and two sides. They are not skimpy with portions! 2. The chicken and gyros were cooked perfectly - hot and seasoned without being overly dry or salty. 3. I prefer to have sauces on the side - the garlic yogurt and chili sauce are both good and reminiscent of Halal Guys. 4. The bowl also comes with four pieces of soft, pillowy pita bread. 5. Delicious food at affordable prices! Yafa Hummus is the place to go when you want a healthier option for your meal. I've been here twice already, and I've ordered tried their chicken plate and their falafel wrap. Both are very good. I got my chicken plate with hummus, rice, and salad along with their tahini and garlic sauces. It's definite filling. The chicken was moist, and I love the kick of the garlic sauce. The falafel wrap was just right to satisfy me. I wasn't very hungry, but needed something in my belly to stop me from getting hangry. I got the wrap with the tahini sauce, but next time I'm adding the garlic sauce. I put a little of their hot sauce in it, and whoo! My mouth was on fire (in a good way)! A little of the hot sauce goes a long way. I'm not too weak when it comes to spicy food, so maybe their hot sauce is right for those who like things really spicy. And I recommend getting baklava. I prefer it plain, but you could add Nutella to it for an extra cost, if available. There's not a lot of seating as the place is small. But turnaround time is quick. And service is fast and friendly. The last time I was there, their Fivestars app wasn't working, so I missed out on some major points. Hopefully it's up and running again the next time I go. read more

This is my second time here! It was AMAZING the first time. I'm not sure if we got the Back Home Style Wrap the first time, but it seems so based on the pictures. I loved the way it was cut into little slices!! The portions were big, and the slices were great for dipping into the garlic dip! We also got a Shawarma Bowl. This was very delicious as well! We were blown away the first time, so we came back! The bowl was still great the second time, but the Chicken Shawarma Wrap was a bit smaller than I remembered. The meat was also more dry. Maybe the Back Home Style Wrap is the way to go! We got the Baklava ice cream as well this time. It was DELICIOUS. It's essentially vanilla ice cream with crumbled Baklava on top but I loved the way they complimented each other!! Maybe the ice cream is another more subtle flavor I can't identify too? I tried their Falafel Wrap and really liked it. They put hummus, falafel, tomatoes etc in the wrap and everything goes so well with each other. Loved the taste of their falafel and hummus. Sometimes wrap can get a bit dry but this wrap was so creamy. I would totally recommend it. Everyone was masked, had gloves on and they have a plastic/glass barrier between cashier and customers which is nice. We hadn't had a bad experience here until this day, the guy who took our order I don't know his name but he was one of the youngest (he wore a backwards sf giant's cap) since we started our order he showed disinterest and arrogance , my husband is very patient but this time he had to ask are you new? because he was looking everywhere except us, he said that he was not new and was even more rude, we even had to remind him if he could enter our number for rewards (usually the first thing they ask us). Good food and great customer service but unfortunately this place is overshadowed by the fact that they are slow and understaffed. They have turned the cashier section to self-service and can't even keep up when there is little to no traffic. I ordered this for takeout through grubhub and was not disappointed taste wise. However, the options on grub hub say 2 sides but only one of my sides came with my order, so I'm not sure why the restaurant didn't put both. Regardless the food I did get: Chicken Shawarma bowl with rice, spring mix (which was not included) and spicy hummus with garlic and tzatziki, was amazing! The food was flavorful without the sauces but I added them anyway. The portions are quite big even though the packaging makes it seem as if it's not. I had a ton of left overs after eating a pretty fair amount. The order came with pita bread for the hummus and it was all amazing. The spicy hummus was my favorite, it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy but it had the right kick. I will definitely order from here again. read more

This food is so dang tasty!! I got the falafel wrap with no tomatoes and made it spicy. The whole thing is so full of flavor, has just enough spice and the pita bread is so yummy when warmed. It could've been spicier but that's just preference and the gentleman who took my order was very nice and friendly.
