If you're looking to park your rv in one of the most magical places in all of Montana, you can rent a spot for $35/$45 depending on what electrical you need. Full hook ups included. And the host, Jim, is the best part. But I'll get to that. The rooms at this beautiful B&B are only $100 a night. Jim could EASILY charge $300 a night. Breakfast is included, and you have a private balcony overlooking the most beautiful valley I've ever seen. There are only 3 rooms available. And despite knowing he could charge way more, Jim wants to keep the rooms affordable so that anyone can enjoy them. I was passing through in my RV and it was getting late and I saw his large parking lot. I called him in hopes that he would have a quiet spot for me to park in, and I was more than happy to pay him. The voice on the other end of the phone was warm and welcoming, and said "sure come on by!" I never imagined he would have full hook ups and give me a guided tour of his beautiful bed-and-breakfast that he built by hand himself. Jim is one of the kindest, most welcoming people I've ever met. He made me feel like I was talking to an old friend. In the morning we stood on the huge balcony and had coffee together, watching the birds flutter about UNDER us. That's how high up you are!!! I really hope to be passing through again sometime. I mean not only the foyer where the puzzle is but may be in the foyer in the last floor? Like a small couch and a small table? We picked up some dinner - to eat at our lodging place and we had nowhere to seat and eat our food. There is outside but it was too cold to do so. Overall, it is a nice place to stay. We enjoyed it. We drove from Spokane National Airport to Glacier National Park and this was a great halfway point in Bonner's Ferry Idaho. For the past three years, the B&B has been a family-owner business spanning over 3 generations. All the family members we interacted with are extremely friendly and made you feel at home. We were greeted by Jerry and Frank (the first gen of the bunch) at check-in. Jerry walked us through the property and told us more about the history of the B&B. We were also greeted with the most delicious cookies which was great after a long drive. Pool is closed sometime during September but the hot tub is open year round. Throughout the hallways and rooms, you'll see trinkets and photos of remains from the school which is really neat. The second floor used to have 2 large classrooms which have been converted to 6 rooms, each with their own bathroom suite. We stayed in room #7 which was the 'french theme' but Jerry told us they are converting to a 'geography' theme by next spring. The room has very high ceilings and there's a TV with Netflix available. Breakfast started at 8:30AM and you're seating based on your room number in pairs. We were served by the 2nd and 3rd get family members with coffee, orange juice and a delicious breakfast of egg quiche, fruit, and a homemade cinnamon roll. It was delicious! Northside B&B is also very conveniently located to downtown Bonner's Ferry - only about a 10 minute walk. We made our way down there to walk through the street before taking the second half of our drive. Overall it was such a lovely stay!

Gina & Michael who run this b&b made me feel welcomed instantly and helped make sure my stay was perfect for the entire duration of my 3-day visit. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and you are awoken with fresh coffee and breakfast each morning. Gina is an AMAZING chef - if you're lucky enough to try her homemade Huckleberry croissant French toast, you'll instantly add it to your list of best things ever eaten. The b&b sits on a couple acres and is very spacious - private outdoor seating, patio and there's even a bocci ball court in the backyard. Michael was gracious enough to let me beat him 3 games in a row! Nestled in the hillsides right next to Schweitzer mountain, the location is prime for all thinks happenings in Sandpoint. Gina and Michael gave some great suggestions on things to do around the town, in addition to tons of recommendations for food & bars. Obviously the Ramada is the smart choice, but it still lacks in value and originality in my opinion. All these hotels look the same and cost the same too. This is why I searched for Bed and Breakfast places this time around. I wanted to try something different. Cranberry Manor was simply awesome! We stayed in the 3rd floor Samuel Spiers suite, of the old but very well kept heritage house. This has two beds a kitchenette, a bathroom, mountain views, a table, a TV (with sufficient channels...I was able to watch WWE RAW) a sitting area. Only drawback, but not for us able bodies, is that this heritage home has no elevator. If that doesn't bug you, I'd recommend this affordable and high value B&B over any hotel any day! As the second B suggests, you get breakfast with your stay and they have a nice choice of meals to select from. Rather scoop crumby scrambled eggs from a heap? Stay at a nice hotel. I prefer my meals prepared for ME. Love this place. It has character, a great location (near downtown), charm, comfort and class. I'll be back!

Our room was clean, the bed amazing, and the shower was small but mighty. I slept like a baby. The ac was quiet and had it on all night without disturbance. We didn't stay for breakfast but did drop in for a slice of Abbey's homemade poppy seed bread. It was delicious. I would stay here again and highly recommend if you find yourself in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
