Here's the deal-i-o. you are, thankfully, going deep into north Idaho forests...away from towns, cities, traffic, noise and distractions. You will be arriving at peace, comfort, true hospitality from the 4 generations of family and staff that work at their ranch every day--365days a year. You will eat amazing, freshly prepared meals each day. The views are incredible. Many friendly and BIG horses [72 as of this review] will warmly greet you. The cabins are the bomb. The lodge is sooo western. Great entertainment at night around warm, crackling fires. Sit in the rocking chairs on the deck with your beverage. Listen to the wind in the pines. This week was perfect. We did not want to leave and Leslie (8) said it was better than Disney World . Western Pleasure had so much to do, I probably can not remember it all because despite photos, my phone spent most of the time in our room. The food was all home made and delish. We did archery, biking, a trip to a waterfall with a bagged lunch, I shot guns, we worked cows, roping lesson, wine tasting, branding, movie on the lawn, live western music and of course we rode everyday, sometimes twice. We were assigned horses, I had Chrome and she rode Fudsey. They had over 75 head and every horse was fat, so well cared for and so well trained. They had a farm full of saints. I can't say enough good things about the staff, they were beyond top notch. They hosted 4 groups this week, and we all got to know each other and cheer each other on. We won't see any of them again, but they sure left an impact. I am a professional equestrian and I run a big Huntseat stable. I know horses very well. This place is absolutely top notch. I will never go to another ranch. This was a week we will never forget. We will be back. read more

What a wonderful experience. The location is great, staff could not be more friendly and professional. Rollie and Janice were the perfect hosts. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Especially the awesome horses that we were assigned -- Wonder and Hemi. The rides were varied, always great scenery. Two years ago this New Years Eve I had my first date with a young lady. We took a beautiful Sleigh Ride under Schweitzer's Ski Slope on an LED Sparkled lite Trail! We were then treated to a Prime rib dinner , with Creme' Brulé' desert and a live band. My date who I had just met in person after chatting online, only an hour before began to cry. I was concerned that maybe I had done something wrong. She told me not to worry, the tears were Happy Tears. Stating, that she had never felt so romanced and swept off her feet on a date! As I had been called in because of a last minute cancelation, I asked if the person who had cancelled had cancelled an overnight reservation as well? I was told that one of the beautiful honey glazed, Hallmark Movie Quaint cabins was open, If I wanted it. After asking my date I was told to go ahead and book the cabin. Even though I had two rooms already paid for in Spokane. We listened to the Country Western Band for 45 minutes, allowing the cabin to warm up. As we were instructed by the staff. We went to a beautiful Log cabin with a glass faced wood burning stove that enhanced the Ambiance and the Romance! We drank Wine and sat up all night by the light of the Wood stoves' Glass door and got to know each other better! All though our first date stated there at the Ranch we ended on a first date that lasted three days! Two years later on February tenth of this year, we were married! Had a great sleigh ride here a few days after Christmas...ver memorable event to do with family! So gorgeous to be drawn on the hirse pulled sleigh through the snow covered trees , and afterwards enjoy warm drinks inside the cozy rustic lodge. Loved it!!! read more

Staying here feels like you are staying at a family's home. Cozy and clean rooms. Best dinner ever. The staff is friendly and so accommodating. Several of us who came for the sleigh ride/dinner and rooms are coming back again next year. A new family tradition for now on. read more

Went the day after Christmas for an evening sleigh ride through the snow covered trees and dinner with the family. Sleigh ride was fantastic and dinner and staff were A+. Highly recommend this place for a true North Idaho experience. read more

I recently went on the 2-hr guided horseback trail ride and it was a great experience. Being a beginning rider, my trail guide Barb made sure I was 100% comfortable on my horse before starting out and checked on me frequently during the trip. The scenery was beautiful and we came across deer and turkeys along the way. The main lodge is beautiful and Janice was a joy to work with ensuring that I was able to ride on my requested day and time as there is a two-rider minimum. Will definitely consider coming back next time I am in Idaho! read more

We planned to stay 2 nights, but added a 3rd night because we loved this place so much. The whole place is well run. The food was great. Plenty of activities each day. The trail rides were lovely. Plenty of horse time! Twice daily, the horses are run either to or from the pasture that is just wonderful to watch them galloping by. The cabins are nicely appointed (we did not stay in the lodge). The setting was just so wonderful and family friendly. I hope to return! read more
