Working with M4U has always been like working with family so when it came to planning our wedding,…read morethere was no question about which entertainment team we would choose. For years, we knew we wanted DJ Vandan and MC Neil to be at our wedding. Neil MC'd my sweet 16 and since that day, I knew there was no better choice for my wedding. Throughout the entire planning process and the day of, they gave us exactly what we wanted. There was no back and forth or push back from the team about our ideas at all. We had so much trust that we pretty much handed them the keys to do whatever they wanted in terms of entertainment/lighting and we were NOT disappointed. Our guests continue to rave about the MC and DJ combo, especially about DJ Vandan's song choices, playing a mix of Bollywood, hip hop, as well as classics to make sure all of our friends and family were on the dance floor and having a good time. Neil kept the crowd LIT the ENTIRE NIGHT until the absolute last song. Even though there were issues with our venue, the team figured things out without us even knowing that there were any issues. M4U had made the ballroom look incredible, whether it was the amazing vinyl wrap, the lighting throughout our reception, or the large video wall around the DJ booth, they knocked it out of the park. DJ Ronak and MC Aakash also did an awesome job with our Garba/Sangeet, there were a few last minute surprises that were thrown at them and they handled everything calmly and professionally. The lighting at the Garba/Sangeet during the surprise performances made the whole experience so much more climactic and exciting. If you are looking for the best entertainment company in the game, look no further - M4U never disappoints.

Our family and friends cannot stop talking about how incredible this team is. We met with Neil months before the wedding, and he completely understood who we were as people, our music interests and the vibes we wanted to bring to our wedding--that meant the most to us. The dance floor was popping before the Sangeet even started. They had us crowd surfing, had our friends and family raging, and had us going all night long. You have to trust me here, if you want a team that pays attention to you, your story, who you are and what you love and then can bring that to an energy level that is unmatched- this is your dream team.

I'm not even sure where to start with my review. I was in a very desperate situation that turned…read moreout to be a blessing in disguise. I was married on 10/7/2023 and Details Made Simple (Carla) made sure it was the most beautiful, and least anxiety provoking day. I had previously booked a Day Of Coordinator in March 2023. This DOC promised me the world and more for my October 2023 wedding. We'll fast forward to August 2023 meeting with my venue, I was alone and freaking out. My DOC (not Carla) bailed on me for the venue meet, and made me feel like I was panicking for no reason with a timeline that will be formulated week before wedding. (Again not Carla) Thanks to my maid of honor coming through with an amazing recommendation, I was given Carlas's number after feeling defeated and upset with my previous DOC not supporting me or showing up for me when necessary. After 2 hour conversation with myself and my mom, I immediately felt at ease with Carla. My concerns were validated as "No way should a timeline be started 1 week before event". With many tears had during our initial conversation, that night I slept the best I had in all my wedding planning with Carla coming to my rescue and the rest is history. Details Made Simple is just that, Details Made Simple. From hiring (DMS) that August evening to my wedding on October 7, 2023, I was in The best hands Possible!!! We had a few phone calls in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and the month leading up to the wedding, myself and Carla were in contact regularly. She never hesitated to answer and email, a text or a phone call. I received updated timelines in my email on the regular, she contacted any vendors with whatever tasks were still not done, to her absolutely loving on my 3 year old niece on my wedding day, Carla was like having an extremely organized "family"member take charge and make sure myself, my husband and my bridal party had nothing to worry about on the wedding day. I can not speak highly enough about DMS services, professionalism and overall delivery of event planning. Carla, I am forever grateful to you! P.S. Carla was not available for my rehearsal at the church, but we had her team member Shadé. Also AMAZING. We were not an easy group and she got EVERYONE in place and running our ceremony as it was supposed to be. Thank you Shadé for being there for us!

The whole team really made us feel like we were more than clients to them, and we are so grateful for that. Every single guest was stunned by the decor throughout the weekend and they made sure to tell us how amazing everything looked! Ravi - We were so impressed by how kind and accessible Ravi was to us as clients. He absolutely brought our vision to life even better than we could have ever imagined, and we enjoyed the planning sessions we had with him leading up to the big weekend. Moniqua - Moniqua was such a pleasure to work with. She was always so responsive and always so helpful. Coordinating and working with her over the past year has made the planning process so much less stressful and more enjoyable. The team - The team was so kind and positive the weekend of. They are so talented and it is so apparent how much they cared about the client. We were so impressed by all the decor and could not have asked for a better team. We recommend Wedding Design for any and all events. We can't wait for the next party we throw, so we can work with the team again!

I gave him the $2500 cash retainer deposit that he requested and I also signed a contract stating that I would spend at least 25k. I did not see an issue since my budget was 30k. Two days after meeting Ravi he sent me a proposal for $117k, almost 4 times my budget. I told him I was not comfortable with moving forward on hiring him and I would like my $2500 retainer back. He refused to return my deposit. He said he was within the rights of his contract to keep 100% of the money. I had to file a lawsuit against him. Please be careful when dealing with this company and read over your contract very closely. My recommendation would be not to go with them at all. scammers!!

Beware! Out of over 500 reviews, I've only given a handful of poor reviews. I gave all the vendors…read moreat my wedding 5 stars except for Mike. As Mike has been in the business for 20 years and the glowing reviews on Yelp, WeddingWire, and the Knot, I made the mistake of booking him. Mike loves to march to his own beat and is extremely disorganized, ill-prepared, lazy, inattentive to details, unprofessional, outdated, lackadaisical, and quite frankly a bozo. While I was impressed by all of the vendors at my wedding, I was seething and cringing by Mike's countless mistakes. As other Yelpers have noted, Mike is highly skilled at mixing beats for Hindu/American fusion weddings and getting everyone to hit the dance floor. However, Mike caters to the crowd rather than to the bride and groom. There's "no magic", here are Mike's top 8 blunders which I confronted him at the end of my wedding night: #1: Using an old schedule that was 2 months old! After 3 phone calls with Mike and sending him a few revised schedules based on feedback that he provided, he used the 1st schedule that I sent him with wrong bridal party names, songs, and times! He neglected all of the changes that we discussed on the phone and failed to use the new schedule that I sent a week before the wedding like he requested. When 5 names are mentioned, but only 2 women and a man walk out to "Sister Sledge" playing, that's a blunder! #2: Missing Cues/Repeated stepping of glasses. My fiancee and I are highly private people and don't enjoy long kissing sessions in front of our parents and friends. We actually took out all kissing pics from our slideshow. During the reception, after a big frown and shaking of the head after the 1st stemming of glasses, Mike initiated and continued to round up the crowd for additional stemming of glasses. It got so bad that some of the bridal party members broke some of the glasses in retailation. The stemming of the glasses is a topic that I also wish Mike discussed with us before the wedding so we could have easily prevented this embarrassing mishap. #3 Announcing the grooms name first and then the bride's name. A big no-no! "Peter and Aarti Pruitt". Mike believes in men first, even at weddings. #4 Playing songs on the "Do NOT play list". I hate "Gangnam Style" with a passion and it was among the 20 don't play list. Not only did Mike happily play the song, but he refused to change the song when I asked him to! That wasn't the only one... #5 Begging for a Big Tip. Mike isn't shy about charging top dollar $3K and the audacity to ask my father for a big tip before the event! The bozo loves to overpromise and underdeliver. My dad was way too nice to tip him $200. As a firm believer of tips, I honestly would NOT tip him. #6: Trying to Upsell at the WRONG time. Mike and I had a couple of minutes before the reception started. Rather than using this crucial time to discuss making any last-minute changes to the schedule (ex. moving things up as we wanted to skip sunset pics due to the weather), instead Mike kept trying to repeatedly sell us on the dhol guy. I hate BHANGRA, why would I pay extra for it? #7 Forgetting to play the cake cutting song. I was looking forward to hearing my favorite Baby Love during the cake cutting, too bad I never got the chance to hear it! #8 Not taking full ownership. After confronting Mike about all of the blunders listed above, he kept deflecting and making excuses. Despite repeated emails and phone calls before the wedding, Mike was very ill-prepared and was "winging" it at the wedding with sheepish grins. While I appreciate Mike's apology for his mistakes in a follow-up email that he sent, he doesn't take away from the painful memories that I experienced due to his careless mistakes. He single-handedly ruined the reception. Not once did Mike make it about the bride and the groom, it was more of Mike's day and pleasing the crowd. If you want to make your day special, I recommend tuning him out and enjoying the beat of someone else.
