Cute little boba shop and cute seating area. Tried the crème brûlée Oreo matcha and the flavor was just okay. I definitely want to go back to try a different drink. The cashiers were sweet and answered any questions you have!
No one knows this, but I am Y-Tea's biggest fan. I have made it my life's mission to complete their menu. So far, I have had 35 different beverages. Please note that, when possible, I order my drinks at 50% sweetness. My ranking so far is as follows: 1. Mango Pomelo Sago - A must have! started my love for Y-tea.. good flavor + textures from included toppings. Basically everyone I have introduced this drink to has become obsessed with it. I'm not kidding. My boyfriend buys 4 drinks at a time for his friends. 2. Strawberry swirl - Reminds me of strawberry cheesecake ice cream.. Feel like adding a topping would make it better tho 3. Vietnamese sea salt - REALLY good coffee... the sea salt cream is such a good pairing 4. Pumpkin spice milk tea - Tastes like pumpkin pie ice cream ! 5. Brulee fresh taro latte - The milky flavor is so good. I love it. I'm not sure if I would pay for this again unless I wanted a treat. Feels like I'm buying high quality milk LOL. 6. Mango milk tea - Real mango goodness 7. Yogi berry - Like a milky strawberry smoothie v nice w boba :) 8. Pineapple batida - Similar to the mango pomelo but not as slay. still really good! 9. Strawberry milk tea - SO yummy! It tastes like they use real strawberries. 10. Peach slush - Reminds me of peach gummies. Kinda sweet even at 50% but not bad! 11. Honeydew slush - Good melon flavor. I enjoy a good slush and it's fluffiness. 12. Honeydew milk tea - Classic. Delicious. 13. Taro milk tea - Pretty classic taro taste. I was hoping for more but a solid choice 14. Sunset delight - Fruity to the max! Kinda sweet. 15. Oreo matcha slush - Oreo doesnt do much but their matcha is good! 16. Oreo brulee matcha milk - Same as oreo matcha slush 17. White peach tea - Very pleasant flavor 18. Royal milk tea - Classic milk tea flavor (a lot of the black tea milk teas are very similar, and unfortunately, I am not a tea conniseur that can label all the different notes) 19. Honey milk tea - I'm guessing its like black tea + honey? Pretty basic flavor 20. Okinawa milk tea - Classic 21. Passionfruit slushee - Nice and fruity 22. Strawberry slushee - Reminds me of strawberry candy 23. Super fruit cup - Tastes like mango juice.. I enjoyed the chunk of watermelon 24. Lychee slush - Simple lychee flavor very pleasant and light 25. Thai tea brulee slush - Not that sweet. Brulee doesn't add too much tbh. 26. Peppermint - Meh but had whipped cream which was very yummy 27. Slush thai tea - Better than the classic milk tea version. Cold. Fluffy. 28. Hokkaido milk tea - Wish it had a more milky flavor like the fresh taro brulee 29. Thai tea - Classic thai tea flavor. Didn't really stick out in terms of other thai teas but still good! 30. Ceylon milk tea - Weaker classic milk tea flavor 31. Oolong milk tea - Earthy? It's ok I prefer something like Royal Milk Tea 32. Watermelon green tea - Green tea blended w watermelon i think? appreciate the fresh fruit but wasn't anything special 33. Green tea lychee - Lychee tasted weird? Weird feeling in my mouth. 34. Tiger milk tea - Literally milk and sugar 35. Avocado - My fault for doing 50% sugar instead of 75%. It tastes very fresh. It was not sweet at all at 50% and ruined it for me. Generally, I am an enjoyer of sweet avocado shakes. Service is chill! The vibes of Y-Tea is super chill (when it's not busy). Definitely a nice spot to catch up with friends!
I LOVE this tea shop! They make one of the best taro milk teas in Northern Virginia. The baristas that have been there the couple times I've stopped by were all friendly, patient and are pretty good at giving recommendations if you ask. They know what their customer base envy and which teas get ordered the most (as they've seen anyways). The inside of the store is very roomy. They have a couple tables with chairs, but the rest of the seats are wall seats. The first time I stopped by was around Christmas time, and they have a couple simple couches. I mostly order and then go home, but I think it'd be a really good place to hang out or maybe do some remote work. Their customer base the few times I've come in mostly orders takeaways. The taro milk tea, again, is the best I've had in Northern Virginia. This is my favorite out of their menu, but I've also had a couple of their fruit teas. I've had their Strawberry green tea and the peach jasmine green tea. I usually order at 50 % sugar level and light on the ice. Some teas you're able to customize, some you aren't. I've forgotten which ones you're able to, but you can always ask. If you're set on less sugar, they usually give you an alternative recommendation if you think something will be too sweet for you. Overall, great experience, great vibes, fantastic service and delicious boba teas. I definitely recommend. *I usually take photos during my first visit, and then review after a couple visits, so sometimes my photos are out of season! lol
We were craving a drink around Ashburn and found this slightly hidden spot! - Sunset Delight - Hokkaido Milk Tea I always adjust the drinks to 50% sweetness and less ice. Both of the drinks flavorful and refreshing! The interior feels cozy with cute decor and dim lighting! The service was good and their staff were friendly.
I love this place so much! Their strawberry green tea is very good and so is the mango! It's nice that you can change the sweetness level, as well as add what you would like! The service is quick and friendly, and the shop is clean and quiet! Definitely a great place to grab some tea or boba!
Didn't want to drive to Tyson, so we got Ytea instead. I thought I'd give it another chance and paid an extra $3 for extra taro. Once again, Ytea didn't disappoint in the worst way! Pretty sure they didn't add any extra taro....
TL;DR: super cute and family owned boba shop with fresh ingredients! And FREE drink on your birthday! The interior of this place is super open and has seating around the edges/walls. Their decor is adorable and the staff is so nice and friendly! I love supporting new and family owned small businesses, and was so happy with this place! The teas are all made fresh with fresh fruit (or other ingredients), and they even have their house-made fresh taro! WHAT WE GOT: ~Watermelon Jasmine Green Tea (5/5): Loved the fresh watermelon. I got 25% sweet, and honestly should have gotten at least 50% but now I know for next time. The boba was chewy and flavorful and just sweet enough. So good! ~Oreo Brule matcha tea with fresh taro (5/5): My friend who has difficulty drinking drinks, KILLED this in like 5 minutes. That's how good it was.. They have a lot of unique flavors too that I will come back to try (Thai Tea Brulé - I'm looking at you)!
y-tea has amazing boba and tea! their assam milk tea is their black milk tea which is so good, my partner who doesn't like a lot of boba (except for chichasen - they have amazing tea) said y-tea is the #1 boba place in va! service is always nice, and the place is cozy as well!
Hidden gem in Ashburn. I was surprised to hear this shop has been around for over a year because I've literally never seen it. It's on the back side of a shopping complex so it's hiding but it's such a great find! Came here on a whim because the kiddos wanted to try boba tea for the first time. Honestly was expecting to waste money and have unhappy customers but I was totally wrong...they LOVED it and so did the parents! The cold bobas come in regular and large sizes and both are rather large in my opinion so well worth the price tag. The staff is friendly, quick and super patient answering the 50 questions we had. Upon their recommendation we tried two slushes, strawberry with rainbow jelly (+$ for the added jelly) and lychee with crystal boba (+$ for the boba as well). They have so many options to chose from and offer hot teas as well. Both of our slushes were delicious, perfectly sweet, icy and the add-in jelly/boba was a great touch. Wish they had kid sized drinks too but otherwise we were very impressed with this place and will definitely be back!!
We were looking for a boba shop in the area for after dinner and stumbled upon this place on Yelp and loved the options. We got the Oreo Brulee Matcha Milk Tea with Honey Boba and a large Hokkaido Milk Tea with Honey Boba and Tiramisu Foam (recommended). We kind of got turned around when trying to pick up since we didn't know what side of the building the shop was on (based on the GPS). Right off the bat, what I know as a large at other shops is Y-Tea's regular size and Y-Tea's large is about 30-45% bigger (almost like a tub). The Hokkaido Milk Tea was really milky/creamy and the Tiramisu Form really put it over the top for me, maybe made it a little too sweet but still good. The Oreo Brulee Matcha Milk Tea was also solid, not so much Oreo though besides the topping but strong Matcha flavor. I'd be open to coming back here and trying something else next time around and definitely not getting a large.
Yum! We were in the Ashburn area and driving back home. Decided to drop by this new bubble tea shop. Placing an order online was simple and straightforward. Our order was ready in no time. Employees are welcoming and friendly. It's neat and clean inside. Indoor seating is available. I love their attention to detail. There were cute stickers on each of our tea cups and little red hearts. They also gave us heart shaped straws, which was a very nice touch. Their fruit teas are delicious. They are made with quality ingredients and you can taste the difference. The ice does water the flavor down a bit, but overall it's still very tasty. We will definitely be back.
Y-Tea is my wife's favorite boba spot in Ashburn, Virginia! As avid boba drinkers we usually fall into two craving categories: authentic and American classic. Y-Tea's taro milk tea quenched our hankering for some classic sugary tea with fresh bubbles. The flavor was incredibly rich, and it honestly tasted like a bowl of cereal with every sip. I'm not super into the boba pearls, but these were spot on. We got 50% sugar but any level is fine. Highly recommend whenever you're in Ashburn!
This place is a bit hard to find but it's worth the search. It's a small place that specializes in boba drinks. The atmosphere is trendy with current music hits playing in the background. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Now let's get to the drink. I had the Vietnamese Sea salt Coffee. It was delicious. I like my coffee strong. This drink is strong but just sweet enough to keep coming for another one. I will definitely be back and try the other drinks.

We love their bubble tea! They have a huge menu and a variety of toppings available (I love their egg pudding, lychee jelly, and the tapioca pearls are perfectly cooked and fresh). I wanted boba and wanted it to be close to home. I pulled up yelp and this was 8 minutes away from my apartment. It was quiet when I got there and the gentleman who rung up my order was so patient with me and talked me through all of the favorites and helped me get to a delicious taro tea with boba. I have food anxiety to a point where ordering at a new place is scary but omg I can't wait to come back again and again! Did I mention they have plushies in the window? Super cute and affordable. I ordered the Vietnamese sea salt coffee per the recommendation of the shop owner. This is my second time ordering bubble tea, so the guy took some time to explain their offerings and make some recommendations. He also told me that all of their drinks are made entirely in-house, unlike some of the beverages from larger chains. The drinks are very beautiful, and my coffee was delicious - similar to a Starbucks Frappuccino. I am excited to return and try some of their other drinks and tea! read more

This is the newest bubble tea in Brambleton and we are so happy they are here! They have a wide selection of bubble teas with unique toppings that you won't find elsewhere. One of the drinks I haven't seen else where is their Oreo brûlée bubble tea. I didn't get that but that's on my list next time. I had their taro bubble. We also ordered their tiger brown sugar bubble, Vietnamese coffee, and a couple drinks from their slush selections. The sweetness level is just right and boba I kept warm and chewy (but not too chewy). Definitely will be back to get my bubble tea fix. read more

Hooray Loudoun has a boba-specific store that is not Kung Fu Tea!!!!! Found out about this place from a friend who lives right near this place and I was shook that it's so close by! I went in today to try the Vietnamese Sea Salt Coffee with coffee jelly and boba at 100% sugar (oops didn't see sugar level is adjustable 100%, 50%, 25%, 0%) and it was quite good! Make sure to mix the cream top in to the rest of the drink (with the cap off since the straw is a bit short but cute because it is heart shaped!) Apparently 90% of their drinks use fresh fruit and no powder and if powder is used in the few other drinks only high quality powder is used! The inside store aesthetic is really spacious, modern, and cute! The owner(?) is also really nice and informative. Definitely would go back and again! So happy Ashburn has a boba place!
