This guy is useless. Came to my house and repaired leak. I doublechecked there is no other leak and they said no leak and done/ gone. However a day after repair, i detected another small water leak with my hands right below what they repaired so i asked them to come and re-check. They came and said no leak and said it was just water residual. I asked them to come again as I am sure there is leak then they came again (3rd time) then yeah they now detected the leak and asked me to pay ridiculous amount to fix this issues. Wtf? This guy is useless and just want to collect money. Dont use this guy. Pretty bad customer service and quality of work! I am really upset about the way they handled my plumbing issues. They didnt even say sorry or didnt say they couldn't detect it at first. They just treat this as another case. They should have detected on the dame day they repaired another pipe above this leak. I hired a contractor to cover the wall and paint after they said everything was fine. Well Every work is now delayed due to this guys ignorance and unprofessionalism on such issues. read more

It's Sunday and I just had one of the best experiences with a plumber I've ever had. Allow me to explain-- I live in a very old Spanish style building far up in the Hollywood hills, built in 1927. One of the biggest problems in our building is the plumbing. It is old, corroded, and it is going. The last couple weeks I have had water fill up in my kitchen sink and neither Drano nor Liquid Plumber were able to remedy the situation much in the end. Even the industrial strength product recommended by Home Depot employees was unable to clear it despite the promise of "your money back if it does not work." So my problem of slow draining water was now a stagnating sink filled with water and chemicals, the fumes of which I knew were unhealthy to be inhaling. It was clear that I needed a professional. The maintenance department of the management company that handles my building sent over someone from the company they use most often. He showed up sweaty, dirty, with substandard tools, was difficult to understand, and his Covid protocols left something to be desired. He did help me get a small set of keys out of my bathroom sink, so it was not all bad, but he raced out of here after 20 minutes saying that the plumbing all needed to be replaced, that his snake did not work, and that the unit below me was affected to. He said he checked it. "Wow," I thought, "this is baaaaad." I called my downstairs neighbor to apologize that maybe my staying home more due to covid, what with the cooking and needing to clean dishes more, probably was the culprit and blocked up his pipes too. You know what my downstairs neighbor's reply was? He told me his kitchen sink was FINE. Running perfectly!?! What was going on here? I called the management company and they told me they got a huge estimate for the future work which entailed the complete removal of the piping of the corner two units-- yada yada yada. I told them that the plumber they sent lied to me about having checked the sink drain for the tenant below and that they were NOT having problems. I suggested getting a second opinion and they agreed to that recommendation. Enter XTREME PLUMBING from Downey. Now, I will say that it took a while to get one of their plumbers here as there was an emergency situation at a Wal-Mart and the lovely Rachel had to re schedule me for the next day. While I did not appreciate having my time moved about some, I did like the idea of having a plumber with skills good enough to handle bigger jobs like that at a Wal-Mart, so I agreed to the following day's time window and they let me cancel having him come over on a Saturday night. It was Halloween after all. I told Rachel I'd like the man who was tasked to work on the emergency gig at Wal-Mart too. She offered that that particular plumber, Max Hernandez, was available to come see me the following day, on a Sunday. I agreed and felt good about it now that it was a more typical daylight job. Max showed up clean and presentable, not smelling of cigarettes (or anything worse!). He was easy for me to understand and communicate with. He had his face mask on when he arrived and was unhurried and ready to first assess the problem carefully and then set about repairing it for me. Yes, he said, the internal plumbing probably would benefit from an overhaul and new pipes, but we both knew this and it was not an option today. So Max brought in not one but two snakes, a small one and another much larger mama badass snake. Max proceeded to irrigate and clean out the corrosion and food and black gunk trapped in my pipes that was keeping the water from flowing and he removed pail after pail of watery sludge from my apartment kitchen-- Whew! After all of this was taken care of, Max recommended swapping out the old chrome piping for a stent of black plastic pipe that he said would retard future corrosion some. Now I'm no plumber, so I elected to just trust him and allow him do what he felt was best. Let me tell you, it was no easy process! I saw that he had to cut and re-route things, tape snd crimp other things but, a couple hours later? My water is flowing well and I can get back to living and cooking and cleaning and life in the quarantine as I know it! Max cleaned up everything-- no black gunk was left about on the floor underneath the sink like with the previous plumber. I really appreciated this. I'm ready to set about re-organizing my kitchen and sink quarters now. In summary, Max Hernandez is a good guy and a terrific plumber. Clean. Conscientious. Calm and calming. If you come across plumbing issues, I recommend starting with XTREME and maybe that you request Max by name. I know I will in the future. Thanks, Max, and thank you to XTREME! read more

The technician replaced the garage disposal quickly for a few hundred bucks. But the leak continued after he left, and found out the leak was from worn out silicon around the sink. The office wanted to charge another few hundred dollars for a silicon job, so I ended up calling a different handyman just for that. I probably wouldn't recommend this company to others for that reason. read more

I have used Xtreme Plumbers on a few occasions for clogged drains and replacing a shower hot and cold lever. After my latest experience I would not recommend their services. I recently called them to assist me with a water line break outside in which I needed to turn off water to the main house. This happened early in the morning around 8am. After speaking with their secretary I was told they would be able to help me and would dispatch someone by noon. Well, noon arrived and no one showed so I called and was then told they would have someone out by 1:30. I was also told "no need to call and check again" that I would be notified when the technician was on their way. I thought that was a little rude. Well, again 1:30 arrived and no call no show. With a house full of family from out of town I new it would be difficult going much longer without water so I went down to my local Home Depot and spoke with one of their specialists who gave me a few ideas for a simple temporary fix. So I purchased the necessary supplies and headed home. Upon pulling into my driveway I noticed two representatives from extreme plumbers. It was now 3:30pm. I explained the situation and told them I had the supplies to temporarily stop the leak. I just needed an estimate for a permanent fix. They were nice and said they could help me out. After assessing the situation they applied a rubber plug with two pressure clips. Took no longer than 5 minutes. Same plan I had! I should have reminded them that I just needed the estimate. My fault! I was told the cost for service was $125. I reminded them that they were 3 1/2 hrs late, I just wanted an estimate, and the bigger job probably well over $1,000. I was then told they might be able to include the cost of the 5 minute repair into the cost of the bigger job. 3 days later I have not heard from Xtreme Plumbers or received an estimate. Simply put, I would not recommend their service. read more

Xtreme Plumbers...an Xtreme Waste of Time! We had a leaking pipe at our commercial facility that needed fixing. It was a very simple job...only a 20-foot section of copper pipe had to be replaced. Called them to see what their availability was, and they said they could definitely take care of it the next day! I told them our hours of operation and wanted to make sure that would work for them..."not a problem!" they said. The next day, one of their plumbers shows up around 9am to check out the problem and give us a price. The price seemed very fair, and he said he would be back shortly after getting together the necessary supplies. This is when things went south... For some reason, the plumber decided to turn off our water main without telling anyone, or even asking permission to do so. He then left without saying a word to anyone about it...why would you shut off our water and just leave? It was completely unnecessary, and only caused us trouble while trying to figure out what was going on. A few hours pass by and we haven't heard from the plumber. I call their office to find out when he was planning to come back, and after waiting on hold for a good 10 minutes, I was told that he was just gathering his supplies and would be on his way over soon. A few more hours pass and we STILL haven't seen the plumber. I call their office again, and after waiting on hold for another 10 minutes, the lady tells me that she will give me a call back in just a few minutes with an update...30 minutes go by and I've heard nothing. That is the last straw! I call them back to find out what is going on, and they tell me that the plumber won't be able to make it back today. Thanks for being an "Xtreme" waste of our time! So funny to see this business has a 5 stars rating, so my experience with them was I called on Saturday June, 23, 2018 for a plumbing issue in my property in San Dimas. We agreed to meet next day Sunday, June, 24,2018 to do the work between 12pm-2pm. On Sunday, I drove from Down town LA to San Dimas to meet the plumber and I texted him to remind him about our appointment. Here is the surprise, 5 star rating business employee replied back saying that "all our plumbers are tied up right now and I will let you know as soon someone is available." AFTER COUPLE HOURS, I GOT ANOTHER TEXT MESSAGE SAYING THAT " WE WON'T BE ABLE TO MAKE IT TODAY." I have all the text message saved in case someone wants it for reference. Therefore, this type of business show have a rating in negative not 5 stars but unfortunately Yelp does not give us the opportunity to rate below ZERO. They came out and replaced a section of pipe and charged over $400 for an hours work, My kids were naive enough to accept the bid instead of asking how long the job would take and what were the material cost which should have been about $10. When I called these people I got some lame excuses.
